Peaceful setting providing for the opportunity to relax and unwind. We enjoyed our time in Paradise, just wish it was warmer and less windy to enjoy the outdoors more.

A really great getaway
We had a really great time staying on this property for our trip. It is quiet and peaceful, and a great location for a day trip or a drive down the road to town or to the lighthouse. The road coming in is a bit sand soft but we didn't have any problems with an AWD vehicle. There is another cabin right nearby and we actually had a campfire with our neighbors and enjoyed having them over. It really had a bit of everything we needed. We would definitely book again if we visit Paradise in the future.

The spot is beautiful.
We had a great time. The river and cabin were great. If your looking for privacy this isn’t the place though as there is a cabin right next door that overlooks your fire ring. We got lost trying to find it as directions could improve. The black flies and bugs were awful. Professional treatment of bugs would be a recommendation.
Trails were great. Tons of things to do in the area. We swam right out front and went fishing right down the road. The Cabin was very cleaned and well supplied. Paul was a great host

Clean and cozy!
We loved our stay at Rivers Edge! The property was exactly as described and the surrounding area was breathtaking with the fall colors. The homeowner is very responsive to question and provided great communication. We would definitely recommend this property for a get away/off the grid stay.
Ps- my husbands words when we tasted the tap water... “they could bottle and sell this stuff!” 😊

Needs were met
Though the "cabin" is really a trailer it served it purpose of having our basic needs met. Excellent location, good hub to get to the areas attractions and an excellent, scenic setting. Once you get off the main road a SUV or vehicle with high clearance is best.

Nice, but you're not alone
Overall, good experience, but wasn't expecting owner's home to be so close to rental. If you're looking for solitude, you may want to look elsewhere. On a positive note, was left alone and rarely heard or saw them. Also, very accommodating to my request to stay an additional night.

Solitude and Sandhill Cranes on the River
It was just a brief 2 nights and I wish we had stayed long enough,to really enjoy its location on the river. Its simplicity
we expected and enjoyed, but we needed to know more about the local roads and driveway, before we reserved our rental car.
The owner was really helpful and there were no problems.

Secluded and quaint
My boyfriend and I spent the weekend in Paradise to view the falls and just have some peace and quiet. The cabin was a little tricky to find as it is quite a ways off the beaten path (literally) but the owner gave great directions and the seclusion was just what we were looking for. Cabin was clean and efficient. Owners thought of everything! Highly recommend if you are looking for a tranquil getaway.

We came fior a wedding so, unfortunately didn’t have time to spend at the lovely creek, but we did enjoy the fire one night, for a bit. The place was clean and had nice extras for guests. I do wish there was another double bed, but we probably could have used the pull out couch. The owner, Paul, was very nice, helpful and responsive. We recommend!

Labor Day trip
It was hard to get to, but the owner gave us really easy directions and even helped us when we got lost. The stay was so much fun and pretty centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go. I highly recommend going to the Oswald’s Bear Rescue! The breakfast restaurant was a long wait and we had the weirdest experience with the wait staff but other than that it was so much fun. We would definitely recommend and go again.

Great off the grid getaway
We enjoyed our stay at this off the grid getaway. We enjoyed sitting around the bonfire while taking in the beautiful view of the river. We spent most of our time outdoors, even cooking over the fire but thought the place, while not a real cabin had cute rustic touches that made it feel cabin-like. We hiked on the trails and picked all the blueberries we could want! We would definitely recommend this listing.

Perfect for us
We stayed a week and it was great. We had 2 adults, 2 kids (ages 5 and 8), and two dogs. It is a nice location that allows you to explore other areas as day trips. Having so many amenities (housewares, sheets, towels) was a great bonus. Read the description carefully because it is on the small side but we had no issues with size and the solar power was fine.

Simple, clean, secluded tranquility
Greatly enjoyed our stay. Way off the beaten path. Enjoyed picking wild blueberries. Loved the absolute peaceful quiet. Far from any town lights, so wonderful stargazing while sitting at campfire each night. Cottage is actually a mobile home. However, everything was clean and maintained. Right next to river. Things to keep in mind: 1.) Long, sandy road and driveway. Don’t need 4WD as some stated. Just wouldn’t take a really low sitting car. My vehicle has 4WD but it wasn’t necessary. 2.) As with anyplace in the U.P. in the summer, need mosquito repellent and long pants when outdoors any length of time. 3.) Refrigerator is quite small with a very small freezer compartment. So, we ended up using our cooler for beverages since food barely fit in fridge. 4.) Solar power. Was fine for charging electronics, but not enough power for my blender or a hairdryer 5.) No cell service nor internet. I personally loved the quiet this provided. Being prepared for this, my 16 year old son survived on Netflix downloads. 6.) Only other house that can be seen from the property is the owners. Wooded yard has a lot of equipment all around which looks a little junky, but not a big deal.

Old cabin in the woods
Old trailer in the woods that you have to take a two track to get too. I’d recommend a 4WD to get back there as it’s very sandy. What sold me on renting this property was that we could bring our goldendoodle, Charlie. The owner was also nice enough to mail me a ORV map so we could plan and enjoy the ORV trails in our razor which was right down the road to get too. I also loved picking the blueberries on this property and I can’t wait to make a dish with them when I return home. This wasn’t a bad experience but I will note that the refrigerator was tiny and didn’t stay very cold so you can’t bring a lot of our own food/drinks with you. Also Saturday morning (our last day) we woke up to no water at all. My husband and I couldn’t shower before heading to the falls and our next destination which really bummed me out. When you spend almost $300 for two nights you should be able to shower when you’d like. Other then that if you’re looking for a basic off the map cabin this could be for you!

Beautiful off grid cabin
Awesome experience and amazing drinking water! (No odor, well)
The cabin shares land with the owner but they leave you to do your own thing. Finding it was probably the most issue we had but loved it!

Great UP Retreat
We had an excellent stay, saw many attractions, close to all the falls! Owners had everything you would need for your stay, nice people.... great fun!

True Off-Grid Vacation Spot
Paul was friendly host, that lived close by if you had issues or questions. The property was clean, and stocked with basic necessities. As advertised, this listing is "not glamping", which was exactly what we wanted. Knowledge of cast iron cooking and an AWD vehicle is definitely a must! We loved the many walking trails, the river right outside the door was great for wildlife watching and we made use of the fire-ring most nights. 5 star relaxing get-away for us. Hope to visit again in the fall, this one is on our favorite list.
