We are locals who host our coaches for a big skate event. This has been one of the best vrbos yet. And the hosts willingness to accommodate our needs was great. Plus, the location was perfect and the pool table was a big hit. Thank you

This property was a short distance to the amazing downtown of Salida! Lots of room inside the house allowing for our family of 9 to sleep comfortably and enjoy multiple family dinner’s together. Highly recommend this property. The owner supplied all the necessities (paper towel toilet , paper , soap etc) for our two week stay.

This home gave us what we were looking for: nothing fancy with plenty of space to shower and cook after we played in the river. A 3 minute drive to the grocery store and river access, and a great back yard for the dog.

Great place for a group! Feels like a normal house, not a contemporary snooty fresh built STR. Stocked with everything you could ever need, and an easy 15 minute walk to town.
We loved the garage for staging/drying our river gear.

We needed a place for 11 and this fit the bill. Nice rooms, down
Stairs bath a bit small for all the beds there. Couches in bad condition but this did not bother us. If you are looking g for real nice this is not it. If you want a place where you dont have to worry about your jeans staining the white couch this is it! Kitchen is nicely stocked. Having g a second fridge in the basement was awesome, and we used the grill and pool table. Great location.

Excellent choice to space out
This property had everything we needed for a long weekend in Salida & skiing in Monarch. Kitchen & bathrooms are fully loaded with everything you need. We didn’t spend a ton of time inside, but having 2 levels was nice to spread out and everyone had their own bedroom.
My only recommendation is that you bring slippers to put on when you take your shoes off at the front door. We didn’t have a dog with us, but they are encouraged/welcomed at this property so that probably contributes to the carpet needing a deep cleaning.
It was so nice to have extra tp, paper towels, laundry detergent & cleaning supplies there for our use and the pool table was fun! We would definitely stay here again!!

Ski Family Vacation between Christmas and New Years Day
We enjoyed our stay in Salida for the most part. The property manager, Wendy, was excellent. She was very prompt at returning our calls when we ran into some glitches. The pool table was a hit. The ability to dry out our ski clothe at the downstairs entrance was a plus especially with the wood-burning stove. It was nice for the adults to have a little more quiet in the upper level. The square dining room table proved to be a hit when we were all gathered to play board games. We never were able to get the upstairs TV to work well ( the Amazon firestick was slow) although the one downstairs worked fine. The bath drain did not stay plugged to take a bath so we just used a wash cloth. Also, the kitchen faucet would drip if you did not position it in a certain place. Those are things that can be improved. However, as I said, Wendy was very prompt to respond to any calls. The first day we were there, a toilet got plugged and her husband was right there with a plunger and took care of the problem. It was a nice neighborhood and an easy walk to go into town. The drive to Monarch Mountain was not far (lots of snow!!!!).

Great realxing place for families
Wonderful pet friendly place that had lots of room for my family and the pool table was a great addition to have for relaxing evening games. Close enough to downtown to walk, but far enough away for some quiet. Great yard and easy parking. I just wish it had A/C.

Best stay ever
We had a great stay. The house was perfect! Our dogs were very comfortable in the backyard and we had plenty of room and all we needed.
3.0 / 5.0
Great sized house for 3 families, but could use a deep cleaning.
Overall the house was great for us with the downstairs living area being used for the kids and the upstairs for the adults. The large nice backyard was great for the kids, and we loved being able to bring our small dog with us. Location was great, not too far from downtown or the main highway. Only complaint would just be the cleanliness of the house. The stair railings and walls were sticky and clearly dirty. Wiping the stair rails to remove the crud revealed nice white paint below! Carpets and some of the floors needed a deeper cleaning.

Very kid and pet friendly for a relaxing family trip!
We had a great time at Salidascape! It was a nice location and very kid and pet friendly. The place was perfect to enjoy our mini family reunion with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and plenty of room at the table and bar to eat and visit. We would definitely love to stay again!

Good location
We had two families stay here over spring break to ski Monarch. Overall the house worked for us but it needs some updating. The downstairs bunk room and extra living area were great for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were pretty comfortable. Most of the other furniture needs to be replaced. Almost every chair you sit in sinks down to the floor. Also their cleaning service isn’t great. The upstairs shower was filthy and overall the place just didn’t seem that clean. Still it worked for the week and we would return to the area but the house was not as nice as I expected based on the other ratings.

We loved the assortment of bedrooms and kid friendly room and play area.

We loved it!
We loved especially the lay out of the house with its separate levels. We were 3 couples and enjoyed the open floor plan to prepare meals together with a fully equipped kitchen. We loved the dining room set to be able able to all sit together. We used the pool table a lot!
The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the fact that really everything (plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner etc etc) was available. We will be back!!!

Perfect place for vacationing with teens and adult children
Your Salidascape house was one of the key ingredients that made this year's family vacation especially wonderful.
The two married young-adult children were there with their spouses and had their own rooms, and the teen and early twenty-something children night shared the downstairs bunk-bed room (and Dad and I got dibs on the lovely big master bedroom, yay).
The young adults stayed up and watched movies downstairs in the comfy family room at night, or caught up on summer reading upstairs in the living room. (There's a tv in the living room, but we never used it)
The semi-open floor plan of the living room+dining room+kitchen meant that everyone had plenty space to all hang out together upstairs, while we took turns doing the cooking and cleanup. The kitchen is equipped with just about all the basics, and is plenty big to accomodate a couple of chef's helpers, too.
We enjoyed cooking out on the grill in the backyard a couple of nights, and the big garage out back was perfect for securely storing our rented bicycles overnight.
The house was a spacious and welcoming, comfortable home base for our weeklong vacation. Next year there will be a grandchild in the family, and I can see this house continuing to suit the needs of our large and growing family. Thanks for sharing it with us!

G st Review
The property was close to town, had plenty of beds to accommodate the family-nice clean property with a few glitches that need to be fixed...back door needs adjustment/replacement...and a curtain would very much assist in keeping the house cool in afternoon.

just what we needed
The home is not high end or fancy but is very comfortable and clean. It is very relaxing and set up well for large groups. I would stay at this home again.

Great space for big families/groups!
This was the perfect space for our large family to spend some quality time together! The downstairs entertainment/rec room and backyard provided a great "hang out" space for the kids while the adults enjoyed some adult conversation upstairs. The kitchen was big enough for us to prepare meals together and the BBQ grill outside was an added plus! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and our little ones loved seeing deer in the backyard pretty much every day! Thank you for providing a warm/cozy home for us to enjoy! We'll be back!
