We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!! The property was in excellent condition and the amenities and attention to detail in the house was exceptional. Docking for my boat was the best we've seen in our 8 years of vacationing in Homosassa. The property was Five Stars Plus! Next scallop season we'll be definitely be back!

We had a great time at this property. The house was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed using the Kayaks. The riverside balcony was great for sitting and enjoying the evening looking over the river. The only issue we has was one of the ceiling fans on the back balcony did not seem to work.

Very nice and clean home on the river in a great location. We took our boat as this neighborhood has a private boat launch and was very convenient. The driveway is large enough for a truck, trailer and an extra car. This is a bit tight with a truck/trailer to enter/back out due to the driveway across from their driveway having a car/boat trailer parked directly behind it. Not a deal breaker but it takes a bit of maneuvering to get it in and out. All and all great location and great stay.

The house photos do not do it justice. The home was extremely well decorated, very clean, and well located. Parking is tight for sure, but doable. Would definitely recommend.

This home was absolutely perfect for our Spring Break stay. The home itself is beautiful and has everything you need to feel right at home. The beds were incredibly comfortable which is hard to find in a rental. Furniture was in good condition and the home had cute decor.
The dock and kayak launch on property were amazing! There are kayaks on-site and they are in excellent shape. The location on the river is great - just a short paddle to the springs and to Crumps Landing (highly recommend). We fished right off the dock and caught a lot of catfish. We also spotted manatees, bald eagles and were surprised with a dolphin visit on our last night. Highly recommend sitting on the dock after dark and listening to fish jump and nighttime creatures.
Check-in and communication from rental agency was a breeze.
If you love nature and are looking for a relaxing stay, this is the place to be!

What a beautiful house. Just perfect for the R&R that my husband and I needed. The location was great. So many restaurants near and tons of water sports which we love. The morning sunrise on the back porch was my favorite part. The house is decorated just beautifully. Would love to visit again and highly recommend.

This was a great place! Perfect location and everything we needed. The only things that I think could improve would be the communication with the managing host (Nancy) and the accuracy of the photos. The furniture in some rooms/porch is different, the master bedroom headboard really needs replacing it is not what is shown and rattles any time you move and the spare bedroom had no couch or tv. None of these things would keep us from staying here again but worth noting. We had a blast!

The property is beautiful!! The house was very welcoming and homey. Clean linens, clean house, information about the area, and very well decorated! Communication with check in was very easy. The only downside was there was very limited stock for paper supplies. Each bathroom had 2 rolls of TP and for 6 people that was definitely not enough for 5 days. We also did not have trash bags and paper towels so we had to provide those ourselves. The neighbor across the street seemed to have issues with renters being on the property period. But that was out of control for us or our property manager, but it did make it a little uncomfortable at times. Other than that, we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

The location was great. House was beautiful. The dock was amazing. Perfect for your boat, jet skis, kayaks, or paddle board. House is great for boat watching when everyone is heading to and from the springs. Kids loved this place.

Better than advertised!
The entire experience was perfect. The house was meticulously cared for, the decorations and supplied information for guests was outstanding, everything was labeled or mapped out regarding the local area. Then there was the VIEW. My goodness, the balcony had the best view in the neighborhood of the Homosassa river, and that includes some nearby mansions. We will be returning, Lord willing.

Homosassa slice of paradise!
I booked this home for a golf weekend with some friends and we couldn’t have landed in a better home! The house was exceptionally clean and the view of the river is spectacular. The management team also was very responsive and made the whole process very easy. I’d stay at this property again and I’d recommend it to anyone. In fact, some of my friends said they’d like to come back with their own families.

My husband and I were truly in love with this place! It was a perfect setup to prep lunches for the long boat day, run a load of laundry, and come out to shower and relax. The boat dock was easily accessible and the view was wonderful - we will definitely book again in the future!

We absolutely loved our stay on the River. The boat ramp was super easy for us to launch. The house was beautifully decorated and in a prime location. It was sooo clean, I have bad allergies and had ZERO issues during our stay. Can’t wait to book our next trip in 2022!!

We had a great anniversary weekend. This house is a perfect location, 5 minutes to the spring right on the river. House is beautiful and decorated cozy and perfect for a river retreat. We we can’t wait to stay again. 5 stars!

Amazing!
This place is like a home away from home! We visited in March and kayaked the river. We saw manatee and my husband even saw a dolphin one morning. There are several nice restaurants nearby and the owner has several pamphlets of restaurants/things to do provided. If you want to visit the beach, Fort Island Beach is only about a 15 minute drive away. It is very family friendly and has bathrooms. We rented a pontoon boat one day and just cruised the river. We travel a lot and this has been one of my favorite vacations!

A beautiful view
This house was better than we imagined. It has a spectacular view and the amenities were stellar. We were close enough to all the action, yet far enough away to have a tranquil setting. The property manager was extremely attentive and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend this property.

Felt like home!
House is very cozy. Has everything you need. Just bring yourself and couple friends or family. Right by the water was really awesome. You can see the manatee swim by you while you fish on the dock. You can also kayak out to explore other area. The view from the balcony was stunning and beautiful. Overall my family and I really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely come back again in the near future.

Beautiful home on the Homosassa River
We stayed here 6 days over Thanksgiving 2020.
It is a clean and very nice home. There is an upstairs balcony which looks out over the river and the sunrise each day. There is also a downstairs back patio and a nice boat and kayak dock out back. There are all kinds of wildlife in the river, including snook, mullet, redfish, manatees, turtles and even a dolphin every now and then. You are about 25 minutes or so to the Gulf on the river---it's not far but most of the way is a no wake or slow speed zone.
We had a great time swimming, boating, fishing and kayaking.
We also were able to cook a nice Thanksgiving turkey and sides in the modern kitchen.
The owner is also very nice and responsive.
I am a Florida native, and this area is really Old Florida as it used to be everywhere. If you like nature and outdoor activities, this is a great place.

What amazing place to stay!
You couldn't ask for a better property or a better host. Located between all the restaurants but yet tucked away on the biggest part of the river to give you privacy. It's a straight shot to the springs for that afternoon cool down.
The house is well equipped come extremely well decorated and has a great dock for fishing or tying your boat to. Definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time during our stay here. It was very comfortable and clean, and Michelle was very helpful with any questions you may have. My husband enjoyed fishing off the dock. I would highly recommend this rental home. We can’t wait to come back again!

Homosassa river house
This is the second stay at la casa Del Rio in Homosassa. It is a nice home beautifully decorated right on the river. Boat ramp just a few doors down and were able to keep boat right behind house on our private dock. Great location to go to springs or out to gulf on the boat. Several local restaurants in the area as well. Enjoyed each of them. Love to visit during scallop season. Fun vacation.

My husband & I visited with another couple and we all LOVE this property! Michelle was so accommodating, communicated a lot with me, and just very nice to work with!
House is very comfortable, well stocked and SO cute, comfy beds, and the location is perfect!!! Great place to take our pontoon boat as well.
We all agreed this will be our 'place' to stay in the future:)
