Stunning cottage for all seasons located just minutes to Whiteface Mountain and Adirondack Wildlife refuge on a two acres lot. This family cottage as three bedrooms, a dormitory and two bathrooms with showers. Our cottage also includes an outside shower. This Open-Concept kitchen and living space is perfect for family gatherings. This holiday home is a perfect gateway for hiking trips, ski party, Ironman / half IM events and Lake Placid Horse Show. Rentals are available all year round by the week or a minimum of five days. Internet is available. Smoke-Free house

This is one of the best rental properties I have stayed at. The location is great and the house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was an added bonus. I highly recommend this property and plan on staying again when in the area.

We had a mixed group of friends and family for a winter holiday and everyone loved the home, property and area. It’s a very renter friendly place with thoughtful details like ski storage, two living spaces, huge well stocked kitchen and low maintenance cement (heated!) floors. The access to the Ausable across street was amazing for fishing, it’s super close to Whiteface. The beds are comfortable, the hot tub worked well and there are plenty of extra linens/blankets/towels. It’s our new favorite ski house! Thank you!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home. Our family spent Thanksgiving here and the kitchen was completely outfitted and well-suited to make any dish imaginable. Modern Spacious Chalet
Our family of six throughly enjoyed staying at this renovated chalet. There was ample space to spread out and we enjoyed the modern take on an ADK cabin. Dan was a super responsive host, and kindly responded whenever we contacted him. The chalet was well stocked with supplies and the many coffee machine options were a joy. We loved the location near Wilmington, mountain bike trails, and scenic hikes. The nightly crackling campfires and stargazing from the backyard were true highlights!

ADK Vacation
I stayed at this house with my family for our Adirondack vacation. The house was spacious and fit our family well. The yard was amazing snd had plenty of room to run around and play games. We loved the patio and spent a lot of our time out there. The hot tub was a nice feature. I absolutely loved the kitchen and the large island! The dining table was also very large. The outdoor shower is definitely a “must do”! So refreshing! I loved the rainfall shower head. Since the temperature was in the high 80s we did not use the wood stove but would love to come back in the winter to use it snd the hot tub after a snowshoe hike.

Lake Placid Getaway
We had a wonderful time on our trip. We loved the house. There was plenty of room for all of us. The set up was amazing. We didn't do much cooking, but when we did, everything we needed was in the kitchen. We used the fire pit and the hot tub many times after long days of many fun activities. I was very sad to leave. I really enjoyed the quietness and peacefulness of the mountains. I would love to visit again.

Fantastic spot!
This is a beautiful home, the work that has been done to transform this house is amazing. Our group of 8 had a wonderful stay. There was plenty of room for everyone. We loved the huge kitchen table, long island with stools, and the 2 living rooms. Very modern with everything you'd need. We really appreciated all the extras that were provided: laundry soap, garbage bags, toilet paper etc. The back yard is beautiful, we enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit every day. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. There is a bike park a short distance away, an animal refuge right across the street; ice cream, pizza, small store close by. Great restaurant (Rudy's) right down the street. We hiked several peaks, visited Lake Placid, canoed, visited High Falls Gorge, and saw a movie in Plattsburgh on a rainy day. It was a great week and I would definitely recommend this home!!

In addition everything you would like to see is close to the house … lake placid , a usable , whiteface … and of course the high peaks ! Tasteful, modern escape to the mountains
Our family of 5 had a wonderful, relaxing one week visit to Wilmington in this beautiful home. We cooked every meal in the fully-stocked kitchen. I had never used a moka pot for coffee/espresso before - loved it so much I just bought one for home! Convenient to high peak hikes, attractions, and Lake Placid, Saranac Lake. Just perfect. LOVED THIS PLACE!!
This vacation rental in Wilmington was AMAZING! Probably the best place our family has ever rented. From the moment we pulled in the driveway, we loved it. The place looks really cool and modern from the outside. The back deck has a grill and dining set by the hot tub and outdoor shower stall and it’s beautifully landscaped and private with no neighbors visible on either side or behind you. Big sliding doors go into the kitchen and family room area. Everything feels open and bright and the place was super clean. There were tons of clean, fresh- smelling towels. The kitchen is super-well stocked if you want to cook. The place was decorated very nicely and the rooms were well laid out. There was nothing this place lacked (except maybe for air conditioning- it was hot the first few days we were there, especially upstairs. They did provide great ceiling fans and electric fans though). The owner, Dan, reached out to me ahead of our stay to provide helpful information without me needing to ask him for it. He also texted me during our stay to check in and ask if I had any questions. I didn’t, but I really appreciated him taking the time to see how we were doing! We would absolutely LOVE to rent this place again, perhaps next time during ski season. It’s super close to Whiteface. Also, it’s just minutes away from many cool hiking spots - we hiked Cobble Lookout, Marble Mountain and Catamount Mountain among others. It’s the perfect home base for some fun Adirondack family adventures! Can’t say enough good things about this place!

Unbelievably perfect home and location!
Beautiful, meticulously clean home with all the necessities. From comfortable beds and bedding, to towels, blankets, cast iron pans, and tons of dishware! Enjoy the views of Whiteface from the fire pit outside and long relaxing moments in the hot tub. Close to skiing, hiking, biking, fishing and hiking. Only 5 min from the mountain and 25 min to the town of Lake Placid . Dan was attentive to all of our needs, quick, and responsive.

Awesome Spring Break
We had a wonderful Spring Break at this cool home with our kids and teen cousins. The space feels fresh, clean, comfortable and stylish in a relaxed way. There is enough room to spread out and also a great Great room to have meals and hang in. As other reviews have mentioned, from the fireplace supplies to the extra chairs and blankets it feels very ‘thought through’. A quick drive to skiing and reasonable one to town for dinners. The animal refuge a few minutes walk away was an added bonus—well worth timing to hear the presentations. Owner was friendly and responsive to our questions. We would definitely come back and stay again!

Great stay at this beautiful house!
We had a great ski vacation stay at this lovely cottage located literally 6 min away from Whiteface Mountain and 20 min from Lake Placid. The house is relatively new and is well equipped. It was thoughtfully designed, and It has an amazing kitchen and dinning area. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and grill. Everything worked properly, instructions were clear, so we didn’t have to contact the owner for anything. We would definitely come back!

Excellent public and outdoor spaces, close to skiing
This cottage was an excellent fit for my group during our weeklong ski trip. The property feels private and serene and is less than ten minutes from Whiteface ski resort. It has a big, beautiful kitchen and dining room, and the hot tub and grill were lots of fun. The unit was clean, and check-in and check-out were painless. Would stay here again.

Beautiful Home Close to Whiteface
The home is very spacious, fully equipped and clean. The heated concrete floors on the lower level were amazing in the cold winter. About a 5 minute drive to Whiteface parking area, we drove back for lunch everyday. The hot tub was a nice feature for after a long day of skiing. Kitchen had just about everything you could think of including 4 different types of coffee makers. The owner was very responsive and checked in with us during the stay.

A very comfortable and thoughtfully designed house that is close to Alpine and Nordic skiing in Lake Placid. This is a wonderful property for families with lots of open space, a large kitchen and comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very cold so we stayed cozy with the fire and it was so nice to have the hot tub to come home to after skiing and ice skating. We cooked meals in the kitchen and found everything we needed. Great mountain views and nice location.

Perfect for family vacation
The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked and spacious. The house is two minutes away from Whiteface ski entrance and has many hiking trails nearby. Dan was friendly and responsive. We would love to stay here again.

Wish We Were There Right Now!
Our family of four rented out the property for the month of December and couldn't have had a better experience. The adults worked from home and the kids had online school; wifi was at times spotty, but all in all great. The location is incredible if you plan to make Whiteface a part of your stay. It's a 7-minute drive from the house, so easy to ski for the morning, go home for lunch, and then back at it on the slopes in the afternoon. The open kitchen/living/dining space is wonderful and has everything you need to cook well. (We made a double-layer cake and an apple galette while we were there with no problem.) The main grocery store is in Lake Placid and about a 25 minute-drive away, so we made sure to do big shops while we were there to cut down on the grocery trips. Closer to home, right across the street in fact, is a wildlife refuge--a really cool little place to stop with the kids. We could hear the wolves howling in the evening! The owner was highly responsive and kind; when he heard that we would be buying a Christmas tree, he ordered a tree stand and had it shipped to us! Thank you for such a memorable trip!

We had a super time and rented for Thanksgiving. Teens hung out at the house or drove into town for coffee/lunch. We walked every day. The hot tub was fun for all. I absolutely recommend to families looking for a COVID get-away.

I honestly was perfectly content just staying at the rental and having a fire or enjoying the hot tub. You will not be disappointed if you choose to rent from Dan. Beautiful House in ADK
The house was beautiful, we loved the location! The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking and the french doors made it feel like you were right outside. We had a slight issue with checking in, we were told early check in was possible at 1:30 pm, but when we arrived we were told the house wouldn’t be ready til 5:00 pm. The owner was very responsive (we ended up getting in at 4:00 pm) and even refunded one night of our stay. At the end of our stay (less than 24 hours before we were due to check out) the owners alerted us that we would have to depart an hour and a half early due to additional COVID cleaning procedures.

Adirondack Getaway
Daniel was a great host and his property was amazing! There was plenty of space for all of us; Myself and my husband, my parents and our two kids. The house was clean and organized and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. The amenities the property provided were just what you want for a mountain getaway. We sat on the patio every morning for coffee and even enjoyed using the kayaks on Lake Everest which is just around the corner. Access to Lake Placid and Saranac Lake was easy as they are between 15 minutes and 30 minutes away respectively. Overall our stay was fantastic and we will definitely return!!

Perfect vacation in the Adirondack mountains!
House is lovely, jacuzzi and fire pit which the kids enjoyed. It was just us and the kids but could house 2 families easily. Big, fully equipped kitchen and outside grill - we used it almost every night. They even had a blender so we made shakes in the morning.
Dan was great, gave is tips and was so kind to allow us to take the canoes (which we didn’t take advantage of at the end since they were a 1-seater).
Just be aware there is no reception other than Verizon anywhere in the area... WiFi in the house worked great though, so we managed.

Fantastic ADK House
This house is not only beautiful in it's unique styling and details but also very group friendly and fun!!
We were a group of seven who enjoyed all that the house has to offer. The spacious, well stocked kitchen with the open sitting area was a fantastic place to cook and eat meals together while enjoying each others company. If someone needed quiet space, there was plenty of area to find that on the other side of the house as well.
The outdoor deck, fire pit, hot tub was also fantastic for gathering together! The outdoor shower was a fun feature as well!!
The house was super clean with plenty of linens and supplies like TP, dish detergent, and hand soap something some rental properties we have stayed at can be a little skimpy on.
The location is great!! We have stayed in other areas before and found ourselves driving quite a bit however this house is so close to White Face and plenty of hiking trails, as well as the Lake Placid area if you are looking for cute shops or restaurants.
Dan was great at keeping us informed with details for checking in, and checked in to be sure everything was going well.
We would definitely recommend this rental to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun Adirondack getaway!!!

Excellent Stay!
When we arrived we were thrilled to see how spacious and beautiful the property was! We loved the privacy and how close it was to many family friendly activities. Every night we would sit by the fire and look at the most amazing sky full of stars or soak in the hot tub. Great place for family and friends to gather and enjoy each other’s company. The owners were fantastic and the home took care of every need we didn’t even know we had! Linens, towels and a kitchen full of all the essentials plus some for cooking and baking! I would highly recommend!
