Historic Charm engulfs every inch of this stunning home! Vaulted ceilings, surround sound speaker system, and an open concept layout create the perfect place for all visitors! Located snuggly in the green-belt of Cottonwood, Arizona, this home features a stunning loft and comfortably accommodates 6 guests. Enjoy river access directly off the property for endless water fun, or take a minutes drive to explore the unique shops, restaurants, and wineries of Old Town Cottonwood!
The Space:
Minutes from wine tasting at one of Old Town’s six tasting rooms and hours of entertainment as you explore great food, art galleries, antique shops and unique boutique stores. During certain times of the year, Old Town also hosts live music, parades, and entertainment events. Outdoor adventure includes golfing, rafting, hiking, or biking around one of many surrounding trails.
Cottonwood is conveniently located to explore the best of Northern Arizona. It is a short 15 minutes to Sedona and Jerome. An hours distance to Flagstaff and 2 ½ hours from the Grand Canyon.
This beautifully renovated home is a part of local history! The Verde Dairy Cottage is almost 100 years old and was once part of a thriving dairy farm that delivered milk to the entire Verde Valley! Located on a quaint and quiet street, it is easily accessible with a private drive and entrance. It features double front doors allowing plenty of natural light and air to truly bring the outdoors in as you enjoy the beautiful and spacious surroundings.
Living Space: A decorative fireplace and superior interior design create the perfect hang out area for some rest and relaxation. This home has air conditioning to keep you comfortable on warm summer days and a flat screen tv with Netflix for a relaxing and entertaining evening in. Wifi is provided for your convenience.
Kitchen: The home has a fully stocked kitchen, complete with an electric oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, etc. It has plenty of pots and pans, BBQ utensils, and is stocked with your basic spices and oils. In addition, it offers an instant hot faucet at the turn of a switch--perfect to enjoy your favorite warm morning beverage. Coffee and tea are provided for your convenience.
Loft: This stunning part of the home features two areas of sleeping space. The main loft area highlights a plush king bed, dresser and two night stands. It has a gorgeous custom-made wood railing that overlooks the main floor below. The additional loft area has two twin beds, dresser and closet rack--- the perfect space for kids. Curtains provide privacy to separate these two spaces of the home.
**Note: Due to the nature of the loft, it may not be suitable for young children
Additional sleeping space: Cozy up on the pull out sofa bed, located on the main level of the home. This convenient space can easily transform from entertaining to sleeping and can comfortably accommodate two adults.
**NOTE: A pack-n-play is also provided for your little one’s convenience.
Bathroom: This home’s bathroom is located on the main level. Newly renovated, it has a historical and unique feel and functionality. This spacious bathroom features a private bathtub, double spout walk-in shower, and toilet. It also is equipped with a bluetooth speaker to sound-stream music from your device.
*Linens are provided for all sleeping spaces, as well as two bath towels and two washcloths for each guest. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are also provided for your convenience.
Front Patio and Yard: Enjoy your favorite beverage on one of two entertaining spaces in the front yard. A tree swing and yard games offers great fun for the kids while the patio creates an inviting place for mid-day entertainment and outdoor dining. At night, warm up by the gas fire pit as you reminisce on the day’s adventures.
Washer/Dryer: The home has a fully functional washer/dryer for your convenience.
Additional Information:
The property is meticulously maintained, and the interior is professionally cleaned and checked before each guest.
**NOTE: Smoke Detectors, Carbon Monoxide Detectors and Fire Extinguisher are stationed throughout the home for your safety
The Neighborhood:
Guests have full river access from the property (a short walk from the backyard). Canoes, Kayaks and other water gear can be rented a few blocks from the home and launched at the river’s access point.
**NOTE: Due to the nature of the river area, ALL children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Life vests are required.
Other Things to Note:
Booking over 2 weeks (14 days) will require a mandatory mid-stay cleaning, billed separately, in addition to the cleaning charged at booking.
We do accept alterations requests, but require that they be made at least 14 days prior to the start of your original reservation date. Acceptance of the alteration request is at the host's discretion.

Cottonwood was a charming place and the dairy was in a great location. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Would stay there again.

The dairy cottage is beautiful! We enjoyed our three night stay. It’s within 5 minutes of old town Cottonwood and had all the necessary amenities. While we didn’t cook any meals at the cottage, it appeared well stocked with everything you would need. The bathroom is on the first floor and all sleeping arrangements are in the loft. They included robes in the bathroom which was a nice touch. The neighborhood was very peaceful. It’s perfect for couples or small groups.

We visited for our 8th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed! The location is excellent for exploring Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Jerome, and Sedona. The rental is unique and well appointed with typical supplies needed for your stay and lots of extras! Brandon was an excellent host and very communicative. Thanks again!

The house was spotless and super cute. They provided just enough extra things, but not too much where it took over space that we needed. Examples would be sandwich bags, spices, games, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, life jackets, and brochures for nearby attractions. The beds and pillows were comfortable. They quickly responded to any questions/concerns. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful.
The Internet wasn't great. Something to think about would be that the bathroom sink is too high. We had kids with us and I'm a little over 5 feet tall. It was really difficult for the kids to reach the sink, and nearly impossible for me to wash my face. The laundry access is through an outside door, so not the most convenient. It was a bit chilly when we were there, the heat worked well, but there was a big difference between upstairs and downstairs, so we just needed to adjust the setting when we were sleeping.
Not really about the place, but we highly suggest getting a burger from Colt Grill in Cottonwood. So delicious!

Great location in a country setting. Perfect to visit downtown Cottonwood (3 minute drive) or Jerome (15 minute drive). Verde River is a 3 minute stroll through a meadow and Dead Horse Ranch State Park is a 5 minute drive and a great place to further enjoy the outdoors. This cottage has great touches to make you feel at home. Very comfortable beds and communication/check-in was seamless.

Great location in a country setting. Perfect to visit downtown Cottonwood (3 minute drive) or Jerome (15 minute drive). Verde River is a 3 minute stroll through a meadow and Dead Horse Ranch State Park is a 5 minute drive and a great place to further enjoy the outdoors. This cottage has great touches to make you feel at home. Very comfortable beds and communication/check-in was seamless.

We had a great stay on this property in Cottonwood. The house was comfortable with my spouse, our two sons and our niece. We appreciated the outdoor games and the outdoor space for running around. We also enjoyed walking into Cottonwood and eating at some of the recommended restaurants. Thank you!!

Having stayed at many vacation rentals, I can say that this was the best I've experienced. The cottage was so well appointed such as toiletries, cooking oils and seasonings, small appliances, cookware/bakeware, outdoor grill, a cooler, "beach" towels, laundry and dishsoap, board games, and travel brochures.
The beds were very comfortable. The cottage was spotless.
We truly enjoyed the neighbors cows, horses, dogs, and river access. My kids loves the rope swing. Unfortunately we didn't use the fire pit but I noticed there was a stick to roast marshmallows or hotdogs.
If we had a question or concern, the property owner immediately took care of it.
I couldn't be more happy with the location to adorable downtown Cottonwood which had fantastic restaurants.
My favorite part was sitting on the front porch on the cool fall morning. It was absolutely peaceful.
This rental was perfect for our family of four.

We stayed here for the proximity to Sedona and were very pleased. Cute decor, lovely land, functional house for 4. Main street is just around the corner with lots of free on-street parking, full of delicious restaurants and wine tasting rooms - so you don't need to drive to Sedona for meals if you choose to eat out.

Perfect Location for Quiet Stay
The neighborhood was very quiet and it was easy to get to various locations around Cottonwood. We appreciate that we were able to be away from the crowds in Sedona but still close enough to visit.
The place was decorated nicely and having the laundry facility was a plus!

Cool little house set in a quiet location in Cottonwood. Everything you need is available here. I could spend a few weeks here just exploring Cottonwood and Sedona.

Such an unusual property. The decor is absolutely fabulous. So relaxing staying at the Dairy. King bed was super comfy. If I had a complain it would be the TV service. No cable just steaming. Everything else was amazing.

Really well decorated. Loved the barn motif and keeping with history of the milk barn.
We enjoyed our stay at the dairy barn. Love the history and the decor which paid homage to its original purpose. Smelled clean and new. The beds and sheets were so very comfortable. Cottonwood is a quaint little town. Great hiking nearby. We will be back.

Converted Dairy House Dream
When you use VRBO you expect the home to have everything you would at your home, the only thing I could not find was a vegetable peeler, lol. Luke and Lindsey thought of everything and then some. The home was very inviting and wonderfully decorated. The beds were very comfortable, even the sofa bed (go figure). The location was great, 60 minutes from Prescott and 30 minutes from Sedona, you can take the mountain roads and go through Jerome, an interesting little town on your way to Sedona. The river is actually a short, very short walk from the property because the Dairy was sold and is no longer part of the property that is connected to the river. Easy to get to via shared driveway. We visited with the cows next door every morning, lovey site to wake up to and enjoy a cup of coffee and have small talk with. I would love to stay here again, Luke and Lindsey are the best!!!
