You can bum, bum, bum around in your tee shirt, board shorts and flip flops at the Beach Bum-Galow in Newport, Oregon! This cozy two bedroom, one bath flat, with fun décor and a beachy vibe, is the lower level of a duplex nestled in beautiful pines and a quiet neighborhood. One bedroom has a king bed and a television for late night movie watching. The second bedroom has a comfy queen bed. They both share a full bathroom in the hall. With a spacious open concept living area and a kitchen that's ready for cooking, Beach Bum-Galow has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation. On a stormy day, curl up and watch TV or enjoy the free WiFi! There are views of the ocean from the living room and the front porch. Located near a great spot to learn how to surf, you can bring your surfboard and be totally gnarly in the surf, sand and sea. Just a short walk to a neighborhood beach access and you can enjoy the beach vibe all day long!

Plan to enjoy the local microbrews, the fresh catch of the day, a dungeness crab, or your own homemade picnic on the beach. This is the perfect starting point for many days of exploring Newport and the central Oregon coast.

Sleeps up to 6 - 2 Bedrooms,1 King (can be split into 2 twins with 72 hours advance notice), 1 Queen, 1 Full Sofa Sleeper, 1 Bath.
Vehicles: Licensed for 2 (Strictly enforced)
Standard: 2 night minimum; Summer & Holidays: 3-4 night minimum.

Age Requirement: The primary registered guest must be at least 26 years of age. The majority of guests must be over 25, or children under adult supervision.

It was perfect for us! Really appreciate the dog, friendly atmosphere. We like to bring our own groceries and cook so we did that a few times. Also visited a few restaurants. Everything was great!

The house is very cute and view of the ocean is beautiful. There were lots of little flies in the house which were a little bothersome. I looked for a fly swatter but couldn't find one. Thank you for having a coffee pot...that is a main staple in my morning routine. Everything was comfortable and cozy. One kitchen cabinet door next to the oven is coming off the hinge (just FYI). We ended up not bringing the dog, not sure if the cost can be adjusted. Thank you for hosting us. We had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the house!

Check in was very easy, though the cleaning crew was not finished by check in time so we explored the neighborhood for 15 minutes while waiting. The only issue we encountered during the stay was the kitchen sink was clogged. The unit itself is on the bottom floor, spacious and has a great hot tub with a view of the Pacific. I was under the impression that it was within walking distance of beach access, but it is not. It’s a short drive to the beaches, but the parking can be challenging. Overall, it’s a nice house and we would stay again.

loved the house, it was very clean and everything worked! hot tub was easy to use and so we did, every single night! kitchen had everything we needed. great view! the neighborhood did not have the best streets (gravel) but other than that it was fabulouse!

We came to Newport for a baseball tournament this last weekend and stayed in this little gem. The house was spacious, clean, well stocked and just right for my family of 4 and our dog.

We had a lovely few days by the beach here. We really appreciated the layout and how well appointed the house is. The hot tub and views are amazing, especially the views from the hot tub. The beach is a nice, easy walk away. Great location and amenities overall!

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay very much. The place was hard to find but the property manager assisted us promptly. We were unsure of the parking arrangement as well and the property assited us promptly. The tenant upstairs was kinda noisy but nothing we needed to complain about. Overall our stay was wonderful and we appreciated to be able to be so close to the ocean like we were at home! There were also games available to play which we enjoyed as well! And the hot tub was great to be in and over look then ocean! We will be back definitely and maybe try a other location.

PROS - Interior and indoor amenities very good. Jacuzzi a plus and very clean. Outdoor grill in open space ready to go. No landscaping/yard to speak of. CONS - Parking is a nightmare. If you have a big truck or anything bigger than a Subaru, forget it. Your nose will be sticking out in the alley. A 2nd car has to park a block away. Load/unload difficult. Expensive. Will look harder next time.

This rental is off the beaten path. Very quiet neighborhood. Had everything we needed for our stay. Very clean. Really liked being close to agate beach for our daily walks with our dog, which was just a short drive from the rental. Would stay there again.

Our family spent Spring Break at this property. We enjoyed playing games, soaking in the hot tub, watching the ocean waves, and proximity to Newport amenities. The property was clean and kitchen well stocked with supplies. Parking only available for one vehicle and there is limited space/yard for dogs, but overall a GREAT stay!

Was a very nice place overall. Good location and very homie. Only real problem for us was the "king size" bed was actually 2 beds pushed togther with a sheet holding them together. Good location and quiet neighborhood.

We just spent 4 days at the Beach Bumgalow and had really nice weather! The house was nice, but the bedrooms had a musty/mildew smell. Things had been updated, but the doors and closet doors looked like originals and may be what was causing the bad smells in the bedrooms. Time to replace them! The oven didn't work and the TV remote gave us so many problems, that it got very frustrating! The iPad that you are supposed to use to check in with is either very old or a very cheap one. It didn't work very well and you couldn't take pictures with it like they ask you to do. Something is wrong with it The view from the house could be so much better if they'd just trim the shrubs in front...an easy fix! We had a good time, but would not stay here again. The bad smells in the bedrooms were too much. And the TV was too frustrating to use. Maybe they just need new batteries in the remotes...another easy fix. If they would fix the oven, the remotes, trim the shrubs, and figure out what's causing the bad smell, I'd consider staying here again. But for the price we paid, it's not worth it. There are much better places out there.

We were so happy here! It had everything we needed and more. Check-In was simple and informative. Communication with Sweet Homes was easy, quick responses and always friendly. The king bed and pillows were so comfortable. The couch in the LR was replaced with a sleeper sectional which was perfect as well. We will be back for sure -- GREAT PROPERTY!

The property in the view in the house itself were absolutely amazing. However I tried to contact the local agent for check-in never received a callback. The place was filthy I actually found a dirty sock and sand all underneath the living room rug. I accidentally dropped my toothbrush on the ground in the bedroom and it rolled under the bed. When I retrieved it it was so dirty I had to go buy another tooth brush. When I went to get in to bed the first night there was sand in the bed like they had never washed the sheets. Other than that my stay was amazing

We wanted easy access to the beach. This property is no where near walking distance to the beach. It’s at least .8 miles to the closest access but you have to drive there. The view is filtered and only the horizon is visible over the tops of houses. It is on a steep hill so walking anywhere takes someone who’s fit. The home itself is cozy and well outfitted. During our stay, workers in the unit above began hammering at 7 in the morning. Problems with slow bathroom drain and toilet was frustrating.

We thought the rental was comfortable and very clean . Kitchen was very well stocked with appliances . Ocean view was lovely. Only negatives- one bathroom- so fine for two guests, but may be a problem for 4-6 guests. Also one primary parking spot available. We did have difficulty locating the unit , which was on a lower level and not on street address given.

Not what I expected.

Unit was not properly cleaned. Used face masks left behind. Parking is poor at best. Listed as pet friendly, however there is no yard for the pets (dog) to roam or play. I would not stay here again.

This downstairs unit of a duplex (triplex?) is cute and worked well enough for our family of four (two adults, two kids (ages 4&6), but it wasn't amazing. The kitchen has a lot of stuff in it, but didn't have some basics like a non-stick skillet. The queen size bed is pretty worn down and we didn't find it very comfortable. Our kids shared the king sized bed - we had asked for it to be split into two twins, but there was a miscommunication with the property manager and that didn't happen. The beach is a less than 10 minute walk away, but note that it is down a pretty steep hill and just didn't feel super accessible for getting out for a quick play.
