We had a great time in villa lava!

A beautiful Villa, in the middle of a wonderful landscape, fully equipped and close to many beaches! A wonderful experience for all of us! Spacious and cozy, clean and welcoming a perfect solution for families or friends. We really loved it!

What a wonderful place to get away from it all.
The villa is such a clever design set in an extensive gated plot with generous space for parking. Going through the door we were delighted to find a walled courtyard with an outdoor dining set and cushioned bench in the sheltered space around a beautiful cactus garden.
3 doors lead away from the courtyard: one to the living space, 1 to a double bedroom & bathroom and 1 to a double bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom. As 2 single parent famies this was just brilliant, we could access our own family spaces without intruding on each other whilst being able to access the shared space without disturbing each other.
The beds are comfortable and the rooms well furnished with local influence to the decor and furnishings that felt just right in the setting. The shower-rooms were lovely, especially the double headed showers.
The living room is generously sized with a massive floor to ceiling window looking across the garden to the dunes and the sea in the distance. At night if you turn the living room lights out you can see the stars through the window as there is so little light pollution.
The kitchen was spotlessly clean and suited our needs well; with a child with complex dietary needs, we needed to cook / bake daily.
The poolside space was where we spent most of our holiday. With more than enough sun lungers for lazing in the sun (don't forget your suncream) and inflatables to keep everyone entertained in the pool.

Super villa, neighbourhood, facilities, environment, calm.

Amazing View. In general the Villa is cute. Need to be refresh a bit as kitchen and furniture. Maybe for just one family Is perfect but for two family with 4 kids the kitchen is small and the furniture old. The bedroom were nice and clean. Bathrooms new and clean. The kindness of the owner is amazing❤️. The Villa will need a dish washer any way. We love the view and the position is perfect.

The position was perfect for us , secluded but just 20 minutes from big towns and chic fishing village with local shops 5 minutes away , great pool and outstanding views , Trevor the neighbour was great with recommendations and help. On the down side the lack of a decent pool side sun shade /umbrella was frustrating and unblocking the shower not great , a bit of TLC would be good felt like it hardened been used for a while . But overall great place

We, 2 adults and our 21 year daugther, spent 10 days in this beautiful location. The house is located in an area, where you find a small number of similar lava-stone built houses. It is an absolute quiete place and from the living room and garden, you can see the see and next island Lancarote. Although this place is really out in nowhere, it is only a few minutes drive to Villaverde, where you find 2 supermarkets, a backery and restaurants. Thanks to Franks for his long list of recommendations and directions.
Even tough, it can be windy, the house and garden is such located, that we were able to stay all day outside, even with strong wind from the north.
Although the pool is not heated, we used it every day (March) and enjoyed the chance to cool down. Just consider when traveling with small children, the pool has the same depth in all area (approx. 1.8m).
The house features all you need and the panorama window in the living room is just fantastic.
Frank and Maria are fantastic hosts. We had some asks and got immediate response, even they were not on the island.
This is a place I would go back to, to have some very relaxing and quiet vacation.

Great design, great position well laid out. However, water pressure awful and according to neighbours this is not unusual. Beds and bedroom furniture poor. Beds small and very uncomfortable. Crockery chipped and not matching. Villa described as rustic but it was actually in bad need of updating. Overall had a good stay which for minimal cost of furnishings would have made it fantastic.

We've had a great time at Lava Villa. It's about 15 minutes by car from Caralejo in a very quiet and peaceful residential area of similar properties. The villa had everything you could need in terms of facilities. And there's plenty of books to read or dvds to watch if you don't go out in the evening. Pool was great (no shallow end) although not a problem for us. Weather was generally good bit cloudy some days but plenty of sunshine too.
If we come back to Fuertuventura we would definitely look to stay in this villa again.

Frank is a wonderful host and an extremely kind person. The villa is beautiful and the pool perfect. The property is designed to allow a breeze throughout. The patio is romantic, and the volcanic outer walls bring the feel of the Majorero original inhabitants of the island. Perfect location and mesmeric views of the peaks of neighboring islands.
We will remember our trip for the rest of our lives.
ps there is a white rabbit that occasionally appears in the garden!

Hi, we loved staying at your villa, it’s so authentic and charming and enjoyed the island.

We chose Villa Lava for it’s location of tranquility and we were certainly not disappointed -with stunning views of Corralejo beaches and across to Lanzarote , open aspect and private garden with only bird song to relax in. There’s also the added bonus of it’s sheltered courtyard, if it’s windy. The location is ideal as there are lots of stunning beaches to visit within a short drive. The whole experience was made easier with the helpfulness of the hosts Frank and Maria Lynch, who I contacted with a few questions before booking, and were extremely accommodating and communicative. . Our first visit to Fuerteventura and Villa Lava and would highly recommend both. Thank you Frank and Maria for being excellent hosts.

We had a very nice stay at the very clean and comfy lava villa, located in one of the best area on the island. We had the great pleasure to meet Frank and his wife who were super friendly and helpful, thanks to them! We loved the place so much that we started looking for a house on sale next to Frank's villa!

Spotlessly clean and well equipped home that we didn’t want to leave!! The villa was comfortable and a real chill out. The area was peaceful with perfect evenings in the courtyard under the stars. The owner was most helpful and made our time there total relaxation. No problems and can’t wait to go back. Linda & John.

Superb stay
My girlfriend and I enjoyed a fabulous break at Lava Villa, which is set amid beautiful surroundings. We loved popping into nearby Villaverde each evening for a delicious meal. All of the restaurants in the village were superb. The villa is very well equipped with a fantastic walled courtyard - perfect for pre-dinner drinks and games of cards! We would definitely visit again.

Unique!
Set among a cactus garden away from the madding crowds, Lava Villa was everything we hoped for and more. The kids enjoyed the pool and we got to relax away from the main tourist drag. Shops and restaurants are 10mins away with main beaches, surfing or nightlife 20mins away. You will definitely need a car but the up side of this is to have total tranquillity when at home. There are about 10 other lava rock houses in the vicinity, which blend in well with the views. Even got to read a book for the first time in ages!
Thanks for a fab holiday.

Great Location, Totaly Relaxing !
We had a fantastic family holiday here in July 2016. The position of the Villa is great for a relaxing holiday. Don't be put off by the 'Eco' solar panels as they provide more than enough electricity to run the place. We spent many a day just relaxing by the pool. But there are some great beaches a short drive away and some excellent restaurants nearby in Villa Verde and Oliva. Frank and Maria were more than helpful and we found dealing with them very easy.

Fantastic and very relaxing
We had fantastic 10 days in this wonderful place. The villa blends very well into the landscape, very quiet and we got addicted to the beautiful view, overlooking the Dunes of Corralejo and even further to Lanzarote. 360 degrees of panorama aorund the house which fascinated me, soaking in the saturated colours of rocks, volcanoes and vegetation. The pool is refreshing after a peaceful and private sunbath. Thankyou , Frank and Maria for letting us stay in your beautiful and special place. Your nice and helpful way, plus your very friendly and uncomplicated handling makes you the perfect hosts. We certainly will come back!!

very peaceful holiday
the to stay at. villa has everything that Frank says it has, this was without doubt the quietist holiday that we have ever had. the villa is very well placed and very nice to be in, the only down side was the squeaky double bed in the second bedroom, this is not a problem but it would be the only fault that I could find. Frank was very helpful with us and is a very sincere person, thankyou for your help. I would definitely recommend this villa to any one who an away from it all holiday. the local residents are very nice and helpful. nothing negative to say about this property.

4 star accomadation
My husband and myself had a wonderful holiday at this large spotlessly clean villa. The villa is excellent with 3 large bedrooms and two bathrooms to choose from, the living/dining room has a wonderful large picture window with views to the sea and sand dunes and Lanzarote in the distance. The villa is well equipped with everything you need for a good holiday. The pool is well maintained and spotlessly clean. The village of Villa Verde is only a ten minute drive away and it has good restaurants and a supermarket, Corralejo is about a fifteen minute drive and has plenty of good restaurants and shops. If you want a relaxed holiday in lovely surroundings this is the place to be you will come home feeling really refreshed. Have recommended this holiday to friends as we enjoyed it so much.

Nice Villa in a quiet and beautiful area
We enjoyed our vacation at the lava villa, very nice and peaceful location, far from crowd but not far from anything but of course you need a car.
Franck and Mark were very friendly and helpful answering any questions. The solar system wasn't a problem we even let some lights on during the night for kids, used the wash-machine, coffee machine, etc everyday no special care and we never ran out of electricity, Internet was working perfectly, plenty of space in rooms, there are some of the best Fuerteventura restaurants near the villa, the surroundings were really beautiful with an almost 360° view all around from the garden. If one day we come back to this isle we'll probably come here again.

A little disappointed
Do not assume anything will come as standard with this villa. On arrival we found no covers for the sun beds and no parasol to provide shade by the pool or anywhere around the villa. We emailed to ask where they were but the owner confirmed that he did not provide these. We are regular users of rented villas across France, Spain and the Canary Islands and found this villa to be dated in its appearance and upkeep. Examples such as every sun lounger was broken, the door to the villa caught on the floor when half open and would not open further, all the shower hoses had holes in them and water sprayed out of the showers flooding the bathroom - a few examples (of the many we found) of the need for more to be done to maintain this rental villa let alone justify the premium rental price we paid for this villa.
The villa is an Eco villa running on solar power only. We were told this would not effect our holiday, but found that even when we were careful with usage of lights and the TV, the pool filter had to be switched off. We then stopped using hair dryers which was not a popular move with my wife and two daughters.
In other rental villas we have always found that the technology such as the TVs and kitchen appliances to be modern, fans provided, cool boxes present for use on day trips and generally fixtures and fittings replaced when dated or damaged. This was not the case on this rental.
On a positive note, the location of the villa is stunning and it was very clean.
In summary, we will return to this island again (3 times so far) as it seems to have something for everyone - but we would not use this villa again.

Lava Villa review
I stayed in Lava Villa from the 3/11/13 to the 27/11/13. This villa is not too long a distance from the beautiful town of Corralejo. Once you arrive at the villa you will be greeted by the fantastic view from the mountainous region where it is situated all the way down to the ocean. The villas rooms are very comfortable and are cool during the day which offers a break from the sun. The pool here is quite refreshing and is a great place to swim or to just lie down and chill for a while. Though it is not in the centre of all the attractions it is a great place to come if you just fancy a break away from it all.

Lava Villa
We found this villa fairly last minute. I was going out for a bit of surfing. Frank was really helpful in helping us organise and very accommodating on dates etc. The villa was just as described and just what we needed. It is in a great location for being away from the hustle and bustle of the towns (if you can call it that) but near enough to be on the beaches in no time. personally i loved the look of it built from lava rock and whilst its not the most modern villa it is really well kept and it met our needs perfectly. the grounds are huge compared to other villas ive stayed in and the pool was a good size too. The eating outside area is superb and private. What can i say....if you are looking for a well kept sizable villa in a relatively secluded location with good access to corelleco, the North shore and el cotillo. youve found it! You will need a car though...loads of aloe vera for the sunburn and or reef rash in the garden also!! If i can get the time off ill be back there for sure!

It does what it says in the photograph!
Lava Villa does all it says in the photographs. It is a beautiful peaceful place to come to and recharge the mind and body. To sit by the pool and to hear nothing except the birds in the sky is just heaven.
Everything you need for a great holiday awaits you at Lava Villa.

Lava Villa - A Hidden Treasure
Our stay at Lava Villa was one of the nicest and peaceful holidays we have had for a long time. Situated in the shadows of long extinct volcano, it draws you into a peaceful and tranquil state. The silence is broken by the bells on a goat herd nearby or the birds circulating overhead. At the end of the holiday you really feel refreshed and relaxed.
The villa provides all that one needs on a holiday - a home from home. Beautifully laid out and clean with excellent instructions and advice in booklet form on what to see and do in the local area and on the island itself. There is even a good supply of books to read when chilling out! Eating out is excellent with some very good restaurants not far away in Villaverde or BBQ by the pool is another option.
Will definitely be back for a return holiday.

The 'Lava Villa' experience!
We enjoyed a fortnight in August 2011 at Lava Villa and it was perfect. Frank is so organised and helpful. He answered any questions we had and ensured our holiday ran smoothly.
The area is extremely peaceful and many a morning run was enjoyed along the long lane that leads down to the main road.
The kitchen is well equipped and there is nothing quite like enjoying your meal in the courtyard folowed by a glass of wine watching the stars.
It was our first experience of staying in a solar-powered villa and there were absolutely no problems at all.
A beautiful villa in a very peaceful location.
6 miles or so away is the town of Corralejo where there is a lovely vibrant atmosphere and many delicious restaurants to tempt you with fresh fish caught that day and cooked to your liking.
The beaches that surround the island are beautiful although a little windy at times. This is solved by the many rock shelters which have been built for you to sunbathe in.
A hire car is a must as Fuerteventura offers so many places of interest to visit and is a fascinating island. A drive to the south is a real eyeopener and takes you through many different landscapes.
We would heartily recommend Lava Villa to people looking for a peaceful retreat in the sun.
