About this house rental
COASTAL RETREAT is a modern stylish 3 bedroom holiday home that accommodates up to 8 guests, beachfront with only a short stroll through low beach scrub.
Open plan Kitchen with microwave, under bench oven and dishwasher, dining, Delonghi coffee machine (BYO pods), lounge with large wall mounted TV, sliding doors leading out to undercover decked area with outdoor setting to sit, relax take in the uninterrupted sea views of Hardwicke Bay and its beautiful sunsets.
Bedrooms 1 & 2 have a wall mounted TV/DVD combo. 2 large air conditioners in the living area, ceiling fans throughout , bathroom with vanity, walk in shower, bath, separate w/c. Laundry with front loader washing machine, dryer and a bar fridge.
High Chair. Portacot.
Hooded gas BBQ. Fish cleaning facility.
Bed configuration - bed 1 - queen, bed 2 - 2 bunks - bed 3 - queen.

Gorgeous , Loved it, More please!!!We frequent Yorkes several times a year, we found the standard & design features of Coastal Retreat well above other homes we have stayed at for a similar price. It's massive deck, quality beds, tasteful decor and cleanliness were all a pleasure. We felt so relaxed and felt truly able to switch off from life. Looking out to the huge ocean views and sunsets from anywhere in the open plan area was amazing. Although the accommodation was good the lack of any linen and toilet paper was a big issue as we all travelled from interstate to get to Hardwicke Bay and had to hire linen and buy toilet paper which in most places are provided by the owners. In addition the bbq was used on the first night- after we filled up bottle- but then could not use on the second night as think maybe a small hole in the connections or seal which then emptied the bottle o/n.

This property was better than expected. The house has been cleverly designed so you cannot see other houses once inside (leave the front blind down) and it feels like you are nestled in the dunes.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and the property was very clean.
The view is excellent…we definitely recommend this property.

An amazing home. The privacy and view are exceptional. Everything you need and agents were lovely to deal with. The only small half star quibble was the bed. A low to the ground not entirely comfortable Queen for the main couple. At this price range a more comfortable bed / King Bed would have been great. But a minor quibble though!

Lovely vibe to this beach house looking out westwards over low vegetated sand dune to the sea. Well appointed kitchen and house in general. Delightful living/dining areas and great verandah area. More coat hangers in bedrooms would be good. Barbecue was uncleaned since last use and had mouse droppings on BBQ plate so we decided not to use it, sadly. We really enjoyed our stay there.

The house is basically brand new and everything is gleaming. We enjoyed the big deck and the indoor living space is a huge open plan area, with some incredible views out of all those doors/windows. When the sun hits the glass late afternoon it gets very hot inside, but if you put all the blinds down at the right time of day you can manage it - or blast the air-con for a few hours.

Everything about this house was impressive, most of all the expansive view and position nestled into coastal shrubs and surrounding garden of natives. House was extremely comfy, well organised and had everything you’d need. Loved the soaring roof, all the windows and hanging out on the big deck. Heaps of birds, quiet, tranquil, peaceful, beautiful. The property was very clean but the back sliding door kept locking. The TV had poor reception and there was no ability to show DVDs in the lounge (lots of hanging wiring for a future system). The location is pretty but fairly isolated which became a nuisance when we realised that there was only a tiny bit of toilet paper on the roll in the bathroom and no reserve supply. The house was relatively expensive (cost more per night than the accommodation at the Gold Coast we had cancelled) and we had been asked to bring linen...but toilet paper had not been mentioned. Unfortunately, shops were closed on the Saturday by the time we realised our lack. All-in-all, I think the house was over-priced and probably more suited to a family with children as it was spacious.. and there were video machines in the bedrooms. Not great for 3 adults in winter

This is a spacious and extremely well equipped house in a lovely location where we could walk directly down to the shore and a 15 min walk to the wonderful Flaherty’s beach. The kitchen has everything you’d expect in a home and a nice deck overlooking the ocean with a nice view of the setting sun. Some things to be aware of before your visit, you need to take all bedding and towels including hand and even tea towels. Also check your mobile coverage, we had no Vodafone coverage but guests had Optus signal. Important point given no wifi, the latter not necessarily a bad thing for switching off.
