We loved the house: two friends, each with our own very comfortable wing! (And a bathroom each, joy). We instantly felt at home, there was nothing lacking. And Ialysos is a great little town, friendly people, and very untourist-y.
Be careful not to accidentally lock yourselves out, as we did! Happily, with the aid of Alexandro and friends that got resolved.

Lovely, restored house in the middle of the old town.
Perfect for two couples as each of the two bedrooms are quite far apart from each other (dining room/hall and kitchen/living room in between the two) and each have their own shower rooms. One bedroom is downstairs with the other upstairs. Each has access to a terrace and there is a fridge in the upstairs bedroom which saves carrying drinks etc up the tight staircase from the kitchen. Nicely furnished with comfy furniture and mattresses on the beds. A/C was much appreciated in June (over 30 degrees outside every day). Loved the Bluetooth speaker - allowed me to pick my birthday music for the terrace.
Having a washing machine in the house, and a good stock of toiletries allowed us to travel with hand luggage only, so no need to queue to check in, or collect suitcases at the airport. Perfect for us. We travel light anyway.
Good location for those who want to see other areas of the island. Decent sized and well stocked suprmarket only 5 minutes walk away.
A little above our usual price range but would still love to return. The locals in the village are lovely and friendly. The local grill house even arranged a taxi back to the airport for us, as the there were no taxis at the rank when we needed one.
Only one mosquito bite each - a definite plus point for us!
OK, so the village itself has seen better times. So many closed and boarded up units. Sad to see but hopefully that situation will change one day soon. There was some noise from refurbishments being carried out to properties surrounding the house but see that as a positive as they will be lovely, and add to the charm of the village once completed.
Only one actual bar in the village that stays open late, as all other places are restaurants and grill houses. We were fine with that, but if you like your nightlife, you'll need to go to either Rhodes town (taxi and bus stops are close by), or head down towards Ialyssos resort itself. A bit touristy for us, but you'll find a better choice of bars and entertainment there.
One small omission from the house was that there was no microwave (perhaps the kitchen is a little tight on worktop space to fit one in). We say this because we could never finish the huge portions of food served in the local grill houses, so would bring our leftovers home for lunch or dinner on the terrace another day. Heating the whole oven to heat these up is expensive in these current times when a minute or two in the microwave would be much cheaper.
Parking close to the house wasn't as easy as we'd expected, but you'll find somewhere to park your car only a few minutes’ walk away.
As mentioned in another review, be prepared for the bells chiming from the local church. They start at 6am. We did get used to them, and now miss them now that we're back home in Scotland. The church is very close, so yes, the bells are loud, but it's a lovely sound and the sound will always remind us of our holiday.

The House is really wonderfull, equipped with all that is needed for comfortable stay. Definitelly recommended.
Very good contact with the owner with plenty usefull tips received about neighbourhood, restaurants etc.
Bakery, Mini Market, local tavern, Restaurant all within short walking distance from the house.
Car can be parked within 50-100m from the house.
House is located close to the church and some people can find it uncomfortable as there is Bell ringing since early morning.
Mattress in upper bedroom can be considered rather hard.
