What a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing weekend away. The house and gardens are gorgeous. We took the advice of previous guests and watched the sunset from the rocks across the road, what a stunning view. We will definitely be back.

A very spacious, comfy and relaxing place to unwind. The fireplace is great. Beautiful having visits from wallabies, birds etc.
The well equipped kitchen was greatly appreciated. Close to amenities but private.

It was a multigenerational trip for the school holidays with my mum, my kids and I. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed and then some. Except wifi. But that wasn’t a big deal for our two night stay. Nestled in rural settings but only 5 minutes if that to town made a perfect, private and secluded stay. Plenty of activities to do in the countryside through the days and a cozy fireplace to enjoy in the evenings. Board games and cards to entertain us for family time and the teens were wrapt with playing pool trying to beat mum and grandma. Highly recommend this property. If you stay here, don’t forget to look up at night because the stars and Milky Way are absolutely spectacular.

Handy location a pleasant walk to downtown. Fireplace keeps the living area warm. Pool table a good focus for the family to gather around. Good base for bush walking the region.

It's like staying out in the country but just right near town. It's just a wonderful property with a great host. It has every thing you could ask for and more. Plenty of wildlife as well. It's an excellent property.

We absolutely loved it. The house was fabulous. An easy 2km walk into town. Heaps of space and the communication was fantastic.

Great sized rooms. Bed were a little hard. Air con in lounge only worked on cold. We had to turn the water off for one night as we think a washer in the shower broke. Had to wait till morning for a plumber. In one bed room one bedside light did not work. Overall thought the house bigger than expected. Nice and clean. Great place to stay nice and central.
6.0 / 10.0
The home is large and clean, close to town, and there are plenty of kangaroo and rock wallabies around.
The less than enjoyable parts were the access code not being provided and dealing with toileting children while locked out waiting for a reply. Then the old washing machine didn't work and we ended up hand washing clothes while on holiday. If those few things went differently, it would have been more positive.

Massive house with equally massive grounds to run around on. Log burner for the cold nights. Great location for getting out and exploring Stanthorpe. Pool table was a big hit with the kids.
House needs modernising. Taps in the bathroom drip, spin cycle on washing machine is broken and couldn’t find a single pair of scissors in the kitchen but multiple BBQ tongs.

Nice house in a open setting not too far from the town.

Great venue, close to the centre of Stanthorpe.
Interesting Google Maps thinks the street to the left (the quickest way to highway) is a no through road and sends your a very long way round to the highway. Looking on Google maps, it does show the street does not go through. Maybe good to mention that.
Thanks for a great stay. Kaz, Baz & Daz

This house is large and lovely but check in was TERRIBLE…we did not get the check in code till 4 pm on a cold Stanthorpe afternoon….we were starting to panic as you could not ring anyone and was starting to think about looking for something else.

Perfect stay and perfect location
The Stanthorpe Villa was the perfect stay for our getaway with friends.
It's perfectly situated in the middle where its only 5 mins into town and only 15 minutes to the breweries and wineries.
The house itself is massive with a family area with a big kitchen and /living/dining in the back where there is a door you can shut to close it off.
A pool table which was an awesome addition.
The grounds are fenced and we enjoyed the little basketball hoop and spent alot of time outside.
Also the fire place was easy to use and a great addition.
We were 4 adults and two toddlers and it was perfect 🥰.
Would highly recommend to any families and groups, we will be back next year definitely!!
Thank you

Lovely large house
It was a lovely large house that easily accommodated 6 adults and a baby. The house had everything we needed and was an easy distance to drive into town. The house stayed wonderfully warm during some very cold nights. Thanks for letting us stay.

Winter Getaway
Location is excellent. House was spacious but old and very much in need of some TLC. Showers, toilets, vertical blinds ??
Gardens were plentiful and showed previous attention to detail but like house have been neglected.

Relaxing time away with friends.
This is an older styled property but with plenty of room. Everything was clean and tidy with everything you need for a relaxing time away. Split system air conditioners/heaters in bedrooms and main living area plus a lovely wood fireplace ensure you are warm and cozy during cold winter nights. The location is quiet and close to town by car, but is not really walking distance. Contact with the host was easy and friendly. Would definitely recommend this property and we look forward to a return visit at some stage in the future.

Amazing stay.
The house and land was massive with beautiful roses and fruit tress. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen was fabulous (I love cooking). You could entertain family and grandchildren and have an amazing Christmas or Christmas in July. Great facilities will definitely be going there again.

Lots of room in a HUGE house
We enjoyed our stay and, as it was August, we’re very pleased to have reverse cycle air cons even in the bedrooms. The gardens were a bit disappointing but perhaps by summer they will be spruced up a bit. It was a bit of a hike to walk around to the front door to get in but, in hindsight, perhaps we could have driven around even though there isn’t actually a driveway to the front door. Lots of friendly birds and other wildlife in the grounds.

A Great Family Holiday Home
Our stay at Stanthorpe Villa was wonderful. The home is enormous; well appointed with kitchen, entertainment and linen bits and very comfortable (in the main- yes the beds are hard as some have noted. Next time, I’d bring my own pillow). It was also spotlessly clean. Some may find the decor a little late 80s kitsch with its vertical blinds, vinyl flooring and dated kitchen but I loved the step back in time, knowing that this house has been a great family home. The pool room and fireplace were an added bonus.
Thank you for having us! We look forward to returning.

Large property, plenty of room, middle of winter and very warm house. Electric blankets would have been a nice touch and also a bbq.

Stanthorpe Villa
Very large house, some areas closed. Handy drive to town. Quiet with large grounds for children. Lovely to have a wood fire for chilly nights. Some beds squeak.

Cleanliness
We arrived and check in was easy but it was freezing and we only had 1 light blanket per bed manager did come and give us more and showed us how to light the fire. But when it came to the kitchen there were dirty dishes with food stuck to them so after cleaning the dishwasher and washing what we would need we put it all in the dishwasher and washed it again. We wouldn’t use the cooktop as the range hood was caked in grease and we knew if we used it the fat would fall on our food so after paying Substantial amount for 3 days so we could cook we then had to buy takeaway. Also the vertical blinds were dirty and greasy. 2 of the beds squeaked so some of us got little sleep forcing one of my friends to sleep on the couch. We did hear from the owner who was notified by the manager who gave us a $60.00 voucher for a winery for 6 people. I thought some sort of refund would have been better as the time in Stanthorpe ended up costing us much more than we had planned

Home away from home providing all necessary facilities and amenities. Enjoyed playing game of poole. However, one couple in our group had to sleep on 2 single beds, of which 1 bed was extremely uncomfortable (needs replacement). Also main door locks could do with touch of WD40.

Short Stay
Very large property, would be perfect for a group. Great addition of the pool table. Large rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. The fire place kept the house warm during the night. We were greeted at the doer every morning by the friendly magpies and had a visit from some kangaroos. Would recommend this property to anyone wanting an easy holiday.

Home away from home
Great stay in this huge house. Would easily fit 6 people. Kangaroos feeding on the rocks across the road, pet magpies sitting outside waiting for crackers. Great fire and super comfy bed. Loved the pool table. Will come back and stay again! A good position as you can easily drive to wineries, but make sure to eat dinner at home as you can’t walk to meals.
