We had a wonderful stay in Rincon!
The house was in a great location, and the pool area was fantastic. We were a large group; Upstairs was me, husband, daughter (16), brother-in-law, sister-in-law and 2 kids (9 and 11). Downstairs was my mother-in-law and father-in-law. Downstairs was perfect for them. Upstairs; the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was ice cold. There is only 1 bathroom which was rough for 7 people, but we made it work. The kitchen was a bit lacking. But, again, we made it work. The coffee truck steps away had amazing acai bowls, the beach was steps beyond that. We walked to restaurants and a short drive to Rincon and tons of other beaches. Overall the experience was fantastic.

We had a lovely experience and although there was a brown out in the area the hosts did a superb job of seeing we had all of our needs met. I look forward to another visit

Great hosts! We loved the location and time spent around the pool ! Close to everything yet private as you feel like your in the jungle! Kitchen is basic but has what you need. Enjoyed everything about our stay in the Jungle House!🌴

Property was not accurately described in listing, but ended up being fine for our group. Property was hard to find, especially arriving at night. Manager was awesome and very easy to get a hold of. Nice walk to beach and shops. Beautiful beaches!

The house was everything it needed to be: comfortable, close and fun. Ample space and bathrooms for 6 adults, walking distance to restaurants, beaches and bars. The pool area and deck/patio was a perfect spot to relax for the day or come back to after a day at the beach. The kitchen was useable, ate home on multiple occasions. One toilet is slow to fill

Great spot to visit some of the most beautiful beaches in the island. Loved the pool and the views.

Great place right by the beach and close to everything. The pool area and property was great. Very responsive hosts.

Great times with family and friends. The house was able to handle 10 people comfortably.

We traveled with a group of 8 adults to this magically property. Most of our time was spent by the pool enjoying the beautiful scenery and sounds of the ocean. We were sad when our 4 nights were up and we had to head home. Carol was an extremely responsive host! Every recommendation she gave us was fantastic and she even helped one of our group get back a personal item that was left behind. Carol immediately shipped it all the way back to PA and we can’t thank her enough! I can’t wait to come back!

We absolutely loved our stay. The property is a very short walk to both pools and sandy beaches and yet the house is in a very private location which is excellent. We really felt like we had the jungle to ourselves every night.
The house was exactly as described and very clean. You should be aware that rincon IS the jungle/rainforest/etc. There are iguanas and birds and all of the fun that brings, personally we loved sitting on the porch spotting iguanas in the palm trees or gardens. Also I'd recommend arriving during the day if you havent been to rincon or pool sushi before. Its not hard to find once you know where you are going but its definitely dark at night and Rincon streets are easy to miss.
The pool area was amazing to hang out in both during the day and at night. The hosts were quick to respond to all requests/questions and all in all we will absolutely be back.

Amazing property, had everything we needed!!

This property is not well maintained and is poorly kept. Many things were broken including lamps, faucet/shower/toilet handles, outdoor chair broken, even the bed was broken. There was a dead roach on the floor & dead bugs in the ceiling lights & the much anticipated bus fell short as it was malodorous. The pool is super pretty but wasnt properly cleaned and the lights & fountain not working until the 2nd to last day we were there. However the views are gorgeous, the location is excellent and the owners were very pleasant, responsive & accommodating. This property has a lot of potential given the proper care/attention. It could be an amazing place.

Carol and Dennis were excellent host. They were onsite or quick to respond to any questions we had. The place itself felt like we had our own resort. The commendations were very comfortable and in a location where you could watch the break at pools beach all day. Looking forward to planning another trip here.

First of all, couldn't find the proprty for two hours vrbo was no help, keep giving me the run around couldn't contact the host, when property was found Carol was on the property but said it wasn't her, but knew alot bout the place when questioned, couldn't get in lockbox code was giving wrong, when finally giving the right code at 2:30am,property was straight Horrendous, from entrance to the grounds of the property, medal poles holding the porch up, washer a dryer was rusty & corroded moldy smell in them, moldy showers, roaches running all in tha showers, scum, rusty corroded shower heads, rusty corroded sinks, roachs everywhere, bigs ones, small ones, dead ones the smell of old musk & mold throughout both floors of the house, furniture was moldy, bugs in beds, excrement left by tha pool, no running water, the host Carol was super nasty, she was argumentative, the bus was a straight nasty ishhh hole, mold, spider webs all on in an around the bus, dead roaches in the Bus, musty, moldy rugs outside & inside tha bus, non workin cooler by tha pool, big sign saying u can skinny dip but why & there's cameras by tha pool, perverts r watching, we slept in tha car outside the home an left the next morning had to find new lodging on our own which was a disaster, vrbo left us high a Dry,never contacted me back after we left to help with new lodging, was told they would relodge us but that never happen, was left on our own group of 11 first two dayzz was a living hell, if I could post the pictures of this place I would, money down tha drain for 6 nights never stayed in tha place at all, vrbo needs better customer service support & better viewing there properties before allowing them to rent them out, sad to say the house could have been a nice place if the owners took care of the property, to say the least we where bamboozled in the most horrific way by the owners & vrbo, never will i book with this company ever again, not the last they will definitely be hearing from my lawyers it's not over, I feel very hurt all I wanted was my family to have a great time, but ruined to say the least, vrbo did nothing to help but keep takin Claims keep saying they where gonna help but actually did nothing, but left us high an dry didn't contact me back for remaining time of our stay but sent an email askin but my stay after 5dayzzz, reallllythank goodness my God worked it out, Horrible Horrible Horrendous Do not rent this place,ur money will be takin & u will be left for dead

I’d like to start off by saying that the pool and bar are fantastic, it does need light bulbs repaired on the hanging lights and the sound system no longer works. Unfortunately, we ran into issues with this rental on our trip.
•Needs more lighting. The path to the pool and the upstairs unit are hazardous at night with no lights. We had a guest fall.
•Couldn’t find the bus keys, they weren’t in the lock box with the other keys. Found them in the outside bathroom behind the door.
•No welcome pamphlet for Wi-Fi and how they’d like the house turned down on exit. •all the units were dirty. Unswept surfaces with layers of dust. Used washcloths in the downstairs shower and bus shower. Trash still in cans. Used tissues outside of the bus. Put away silverware with food on it still. Showers dirty as well.
•Lower unit shower was broken. Had to be turned on by a valve and can’t adjust water temp it’s just hot.
•Upstairs fridge took 2 days to actually keep anything cold. We lost food because of this.
•Mice and their feces in the bus
•Lower deck is rotting away and the fix was to put an outdoor carpet over it.
•The upstairs kitchen lights also control the down stairs bedroom and living room lights. Its super fun being woken up too at 4am. We took the controller from upstairs downstairs so it stopped happening.
•We had to ask 3-4 times to get the pool cleaned. Which was cleaned ONCE in 8 days! Pools need to be treated daily.
•People from another unit came over to swim at what we thought was a private pool. Owner was sitting there when they walked up to check the pool area out. Wording needs to be changed to shared with other units if that’s the case. A member from our party did invite the dad and his kid to swim we weren’t going to ruin a child’s vacation.
•Lower units ceiling fan fell while our 7 month old played on the floor. We contacted carol, took them two hours and they simply put the broken fixture back up. It should have been taken down and caped off, another hazard. There is a lot of neglect and band-aid fixes to this house. I have seen carols responses to the other reviews like my own and I’d like to just say that all of these issues with the house your guest have had shouldn’t have to be communicate with you .Just because no one says anything during their stay doesn’t mean there wasn’t any issues, it means they want to try and enjoy their vacations, they’ve worked so hard to pay for instead of messaging the management for every single thing.

After looking for forever for a place that would accommodate our large group of family and friends we found Pools beach. There was definitely a lot of space for all 11 of us. Their outdoor terrace where the pool is was probably our favorite part!
It is a little challenging to find so I recommend you go during the day as the house is visible from the street. It has everything we needed! A fully stocked kitchen, pool toys and chairs, coolers etc!

Great Location Next to Beach
Great stay at this time - we had a range of ages, from adults to a 4 year old in our group of 12 and there was plenty of space. The kids really enjoyed the pool and bus, and the walk to the beach was easy and fast. Communicating with Carol, the owner, was quick and easy and she was very responsive. Highly recommend for plenty of space and relaxation.

Perfect Rincon Getaway
Went for a surf trip and got no waves but the house and hosts really saved the trip! House is in excellent condition and the pool area is incredible for small groups. The host was excellent with communication and very accommodating. Short walk down the hill to beautiful pools beach and about a 5 minute walk to Sandy Beach with excellent restaurants and beach area. 10/10 would visit again with both friends and family!

The location and Pool area can not be beat!
We really enjoyed our stay here! The deck by the pool used to be a sushi restaurant so the outdoor pool area was huge, with hammocks & pillows, sofas & chairs, a really nice wet bar with a fridge and sink. They even had a yoga mat so I could do my morning workout while looking at the ocean. The pool was huge with fountains and lots of chairs to lay out in the sun. We also had 3 iguanas that would frequently hang out with us. We enjoyed grilling out and having a pool party in the evenings. The location was great too! We walked to Tamboo one night for drinks but spent most nights at this awesome restaurant bar called Kahuna Burger Bar & Grill. Amazing staff! Made us feel at home. Say "Hi" to Tim for us! Sandy Beach and Pools Beach were a quick walk across the street. I found the most beautiful sea glass there! The lodging was decorated so cute...Boho Surf vibes! My bed was a little firm for my liking but everyone else said they were comfortable. I gave this 4 stars because the kitchen was bleak. We had 6 poor college students with us so we ate a lot of meals at the house. Kitchen lacked dishes, pots, pans, utensils, cups that were needed for a party of 9. It was also a little "buggy" which is understandable in PR. But all in all, this was a perfect location for our vacation. Thank you, Carol!

Good location
Dead end st nice big house and pool but the pool is shared with other people I think because a lot of random people would be in the pool from time to time. Beds comfy we slept well honestly! I’d stay there again.

Great location! Perfect spot for a surf getaway.
This is a great location for a families with easy walk to 2 beaches. The owners are very kind and they helped us borrow a car to get essentials for our kids after our rental car was given away. Nice pool for my kids and we enjoyed eating at the pool bar at least 4 nights.

Cool place next door to the freshest sushi
Strait up this is a no frills stay. Bring butter, sugar etc...because there are no left overs. The bar/restaurant does not effect your stay and you get to use the pool. Walking distance to night life and SURF....

Back again - still wonderful as before
I stayed here a few years ago and we came back to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. It was just as wonderful as I remembered. The house is off the main road but still close to everything. The Pool Sushi bar has some of the best food I've ever had. The walk to the beach takes literally 1.5 minutes. The house is comfortable with a hammock on every level. We left our things out to dry on the deck and it was very safe. I would go back any day.
2.0
Unbeatable location, terrible management
PROS
The location is terrific. The house's upper level and loft are iconic and the location itself which overlooks a lot of the surrounding jungle can't be beat. Right down from the house is a sushi bar with some of the best sushi I've ever had. Another 30 seconds past the sushi bar is Pools Beach, which can have some good surfing depending on the wind (watch out for sea urchins). It is located within walking distance from many of Rincon's bars and a short drive from a great reef break at Maria's Beach.
CONS
Once you give the landlord your $$$, they could really care less about you. We requested maid service ($25 a day), and they sent over the daughter of the landlord, who had no idea what she was supposed to clean or not. After we discussed it with her, she explained that she'd send ANOTHER person over who could clean for us, and they never came. The downstairs did not have hot water, and it took them three days to fix that. The upstairs did not have hand towels in the bathrooms, and we were not provided bath towels until a day after we asked. The downstairs did not have working television -- while you shouldn't be watching TV in this beautiful place, it's worth mentioning that it did not work at all. The quality of the wifi was poor to the point where it wasn't worth using. They had an extender in the house though it didn't work for most of our stay and we had to resort to using LTE on our phones.
Because our flight wasn't until 3am the next day, they were however nice enough to let us stay in the lower two units closest to the beach. While both of those places were nice, albeit basic, if the tradewinds died at any time during the day, the only thing that you could smell on the porch of both units was the incredibly strong scent of seafood waste (the dumpster from the sushi bar was right next to both units).
In all, the location was awesome and allowed us tons of adventures in the nearby town, but the place itself had very limited amenities for the price that we paid and the management was incredibly nonresponsive once we gave them our money. While maybe this is the quality of service that should be expected in this area, it was certainly lower than I expected for the price point.

Best vacation ever!
This place was an amazing find! The location, the people, the vibes were all perfect. The entire place comfortably sleeps 10 people, we had enough bath towels for everyone, the washer and dryer were super helpful with that, we were able to cook food for everyone the entire time of our stay, the A/C units all worked perfectly, and the balconies and hammocks were perfect for everyone to hangout on. Everything we needed was within walking distance and the large supermarket, Econo, was only a short drive away. We had a large group of 10 people all surfers or adventurers between the ages of 24 and 29 so if people wanted to walk around to do their own thing or go for a quick surf sesh it was always easy to find them no matter what. Everyone was either Pool Bar out front, or at Tamboo up the street, or Casa Verde around the corner, or surfing at Pools or Sandy Beach. The convenience and accessibility really made this place stand out to me. I've honestly never stayed in a better vacation house. Sure you'll probably be able to find a more luxurious house with upgraded amenities and more expensive things but lets be honest here... if you're coming to Rincon you're probably coming on a surf trip and those things would be unnecessary to your vacation. And location is everything. I would much rather have an amazing experience in the perfect location than a luxurious house on top of a hill with zero access to anything. And that's what this place is: an amazing experience in the best location that you will never forget. We will definitely be booking this place again next year.

Surfer's Paradise / Perfect Weekend Getaway!
Great location for local Rincon surfing access or as a base for traveling further afield.
The property was rustic as expected from the web photographs, but was well situated,
clean, comfortable and could have easily accommodated several more people (we were 3).
The views from the lower and upper decks were tropically lush with glimpse to the beach
and the sound of crashing waves at night is always welcoming. Our hosts Carol and Denis,
left us to our own devices, but were responsive and very hospitable when we finally got to meet
them in person. The Pools Beach Bar and Sushi restaurant is right on the doorstep and had
fantastic food and drinks in an Island Life, poolside environment. (We ate there 2 out of 3 nights).
There are lots of places to go near by, but it was kind of nice to have it all right there in front of you.
If you are looking for the lap of luxury this isn't for you, but if you are looking for a fun, relaxing,
easy and welcoming place to stay, surf, and hang out then I couldn't recommend this place
enough. I would certainly come back or recommend to friends.

In need of some love
Pros: Location, location, location! Nice pool bar and sushi place just a few steps away. We had the pool by ourselves until 4-5pm which was great. The house has a nice beach house look and luxurious vegetation around it.
Cons: Same shower towels for 10 days, no beach towels (bring your own). Almost no dishes, pans, ustensils and glasses, plus we needed to wash everything before use. Do not go there hoping to cook your own meals during your stay, we were pretty disapointed about that. The kitchen is as basic as can be and the oven was broken. In need of new sheets for all the beds. Toilet was also broken, you needed to fill the tank with a Tupperware 2-3 times to flush.
The place is great but in desperate need of some love. Pricey for what you get, I had rented villa's for the same price with much more amenities. We are not difficult travelers, everyone between 28 to 38 yrs old.

Would be 5 stars with a bit of love
Overall this is a pretty unique property.
Pros - Unique tucked away spot. Amazing sushi and relaxed little bar atmosphere beside the pool. Surf spots just up the hill. A quick walk to tamboo.
Cons - In need of some love. For instance - shower and kitchen sink were barely draining. Had to buy drano to resolve. Only 3 towels were in the bathroom. I cut my foot on a small piece of glass in the shower. Sheets/bedding looked clean but could definitely use an upgrade. Funky smell in the bathroom. Toilet was leaking a bit. Kitchen was not as clean as it could have been. (We did leave behind an army of cleaning stuff). I did speak with the owners and they have said they are looking at improving some of these aspects.
Activities: Tamboo, snorkling at Tres Palmas if it is calm (as well as the bomb empanadillas you can buy at the trailer there), surfing around the area, Gozalandia/Las Cataratas waterfalls in San Sebastian (you can jump from behind the curtain about 30 to 35 feet high with water at the very least 15 to 20 feet deep below I never hit the bottom, swim into a cave with 4 people that is located to the right of the waterfall and connected to the outside with a 3 inch air gap above the water, and at the waterfall upstream there is an awesome rope swing).
All in all this is definitely more of a free spirit type place for younger people that are looking for a good time. I would not recommend this to my parents for instance, but I definitely had fun.

Beautiful Place
Great place for big groups. Stayed here with my sister and 6 nieces. We had plenty of room. Pool was great and the sushi at The Pool Bar made it easy to have some delicious food and drinks while we were there. You can walk to great beaches and some other restaurants. I have stayed here and at some of their other properties like the Love Shack and the apartments across the street. I stay at one of their properties everytime I am in PR. Love it!
