Peace and serenity, comfortable and cozy, very nice friendly hosts, Farm and animal interaction made it superb

This was as great place and it exceeded our expectations. We loved the location and the fact that it was next to an open space to overlook on the back porch was lovely. We also liked being next to barn and seeing all the bunnies and chickens, which my daughter loved. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was clean. It had everything we needed. The only thing that was pesky were the flies, but that's to be expected on a farm.

The area is very beautiful.

My daughter loved the animals (rabbits, chickens and the horse) while i loved the peacefulness and the location (close to the LVRT). Super friendly host. Only tip that I'd give is to bring several cases of water. Thanks so much for having us!

We loved this property! Hosts were friendly, rental was clean and ready on time. Fresh eggs, ben jerrys ice cream, and seeing farm animals are bonuses to this property. Our children are two and seven- they enjoyed the animals, playing in the field, and relaxing on the back deck. The highlight was eating a meal on the back deck and the horse would come to graze in the field directly behind the deck. Such a great place to rewind and build memories!

Perfect little cottage for a family with kids. It rained all day but the house offered plenty of excitement indoors for the young kids and the adults. Well appointed, thoughtfully decorated, and a great price.

It has great hosts, and a great spot, perfect for our visits to Jay and Stowe. Also, we had good snow and everything was plowed daily prior to dawn. Love this spot.

It was perfect for 4 of us. We loved the coziness and quiet reprieve after a full day on the slopes. The arrival treats and barn animals made this an unforgettable stay for our kids. Thank you. Would love to return and see the beauty of your farm in the summertime.

What a great stay! The cottage is comfortable and warm with everything we needed for our stay. Hosts are helpful and great communicators. Everyone had a bedroom for privacy but a cozy living room/kitchen for together time and prepping meals. Board games and kid toys were provided as well as a portacrib making the stay effortless. Would definitely Italy recommend and stay again!

Cute little cottage with reasonably equipped kitchen. It was mostly clean but could have been a bit cleaner - main gripe is that bathroom definitely needs a new toilet. Property was good value for the cost. The barn next door with chickens, a goat and a horse was a nice feature for the kids, and fresh eggs in the fridge a bonus. Only 30 min drive to Stowe for skiing.

The property was really clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The weather was rather chilly but the house was really warm when we arrived and throughout our stay, we felt so cozy. The view from the back deck is amazing and the location of the property is convenient for all the hiking and ski locations in the area. We have made a list of places we would like to visit again during spring/summer and we will definitely try to stay at the same house again. We enjoyed our stay there a lot.

The cottage was great for our family weekend getaway w/ our little pup. It was in a great location too (peaceful but yet close to trails to explore). We appreciated the owner giving us a barn tour as well. Thanks again for hosting us

Lots of nice breweries in the area and the back deck has a great view. My dog loves it here also!

Cute 2-bedroom cottage on a farm—very clean and well-supplied. The people before us may have used up the coffee. We’d stay there again.

We stayed with our 1 yr old and family dog and had a great visit. So much to do in the area or just relax at the cottage with the farm animals. The owner was very friendly and welcoming and the accomodations suited our needs very well.

This tiny working farm was a quiet place for us to relax on our way home from a two week vacation to the East Coast. We had breakfast with the chickens and goats and were within driving distance to all that the area has to offer! Thanks!

Absolutely charming cottage located on a beautiful family farm. Close proximity to Stowe and Waterbury attractions. Lucky enough to get the barn tour from their sweet grandchildren and we all enjoyed the farm fresh eggs!

Exactly what you would expect on a farm stay. Quietude and rest and being able to enjoy the view without any unwanted external stimuli. A much needed respite coming from a city where sirens are a daily distraction.
We were able to wake with the light (no alarms!), enjoy a relaxing coffee on the deck while watching the chickens and goats, then pet and brush the beautiful horse. Off to sight seeing and hiking, shopping and eating.
Everything is a short drive away and there are so many places to visit. Everything is so darn charming and everyone we met was so friendly, including the hosts. We only stayed the weekend, but it was a much needed time-out from everyday "real" life.

It was such a pleasure to return to see Carole, Tom and the animals at Stony Brook Farm. You are such lovely hosts and make us so welcome. We look forward to returning again soon! Take care both.

Place was roomy and easy to locate via GPS. Liked the rural setting. Some things like toaster and coffee maker needed update. Also condition of kitchen utensils and appliances relied on considerateness of previous lodgers. In our case, previous renters tried to use coffee maker without a filter leaving quite a mess. Like that the hosts provided us with a dozen farm fresh eggs.

Staying on the farm was a wonderful experience, very welcoming. It was clean, had everything you could possibly need for your stay. The scenery was amazing. Our dogs had a lovely time too seeing the horses and going for walks on the dirt roads.
Loved it!

We got away from the city for a few days to spend in the quiet hills with the farm. Cottage was quant and updated for comfort. It is an old farm, so expect mud and animals of course.

What a great stay and chance to experience Vermont hospitality and authentic farm life. We were skiing at Stowe and Smuggs and this place was at perfect location to cover both with short drive. Carol and Tom, the owners were wonderful and we are a looking forward coming back in summer and have more time to play with animals on the farm.

Overall a positive experience. Just a heads up roads to get there are back roads. I went in fall, but in winter would definitely want 4 wheel drive.

We enjoyed our weekend! The cottage was cute and cozy. The owners were very accommodating and let us enter the barn to see the animals. The chickens and goats are friendly and came out to greet us. Our dogs were able to run in a penned in area and play ball. The view from the deck is spectacular. We will definitely return.

When in Vermont....
Peaceful and relaxing 4 nights in a sweet cottage near a brook and barn with a horse, goats and chickens! Close to Stowe, Smuggler's Notch, an hour from Burlington. Stunning views of the mountains no matter where you drive! We loved staying on the farm, it's what Vermont is known for and Tom and Carole's place made for a perfect experience. Thank you for sharing your home and land with us!

Beautiful and peaceful
This was our third stay. We have already booked our 4th stay!
The owners are friendly, the place is clean and the area is peaceful and quiet, but close enough to stores and restaurants. You can even bring your dog at no extra cost. :)
Highly recommend
