My family loved our stay! The glass house was so unique and spacious- plenty of room for the kids to relax in their own space with our down time. The views were amazing and we loved walking up every morning to look for the wildlife in the yard. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. This was the perfect location for our travel plans!

We had a lovely stay. Place was clean and spacious. Check in and out was nice and easy.

Nice house , cool design and pleasant outdoor space . Nice place to relax and good vibes . BUT we were NOT the only ones enjoying the house … we would find ROACHES in the restroom , dead and alive ( mostly live ones , 4-6 a day) , at least you had company whilst showering or doing your business!!! One of the shower drains also did not drain , leaving an ankle deep flood in the shower with long female hair coming out of the drain later ( we were 7 guys with short hair ) . The host was almost non existent, with no ability to contact them whether it be text or phone . It’s a very nice house but a lot of other stuff unfortunately overshadowed the good parts .

This house has it all! Equipped with everything you’ll ever need, great views, and an all around Fun house! A great bonus part of the experience was just exploring the inside of the house. Many quirky features due to the design, but that made it all the more enjoyable. Jane is an excellent host and very communicative. She lets you enjoy your visit, but is available if you have any questions. Instructions were very clear. Neighborhood was very quiet and no one bothered us.

Very restful stay at this unique spot, beautiful views & great communication with host!

We did not use all the rooms since it was only 3 of us( it can accommodate many guests) . We had a couple of days with one of our daughters to explore the area. The beautiful unique home is very well equiped wiith everything you need. The location is very convenient since it’s close to Palm Prings as well as Joshua Tree National Park. We highly recommend this home.

We enjoyed Miracle Hot Springs pools and hiked in nearby Morongo Valley. Great views from the living room with plenty of local fauna to entertain us for breakfast. Everyone in our family found a comfortable place to sleep.

Loved coffee in the morning and wine in the evening enjoying spectacular mountain view and house’s desert landscape! Filled with hummingbirds, road runners, doves, rabbits and the occasional coyote (very shy). Very cool vibe in this authentic mid century modern round house with glass from floor to ceiling in living area and mid century furniture and light fixtures. Great value could use a restoration to really make it shine.

What a unique house to stay in. It was extraordinary to be in the round glass house and see the beautiful cactus gardens surrounding the house. The front yard was magnificent with comfortable chairs and the beautiful wooden table and chairs. The woodwork and aesthetic choices throughout the house were magnificent. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and some of the best labeling I have ever seen. We loved being there and would love to come again. Only one suggestion, we arrived late at night and it would be helpful to know that there is a big Saguaro cactus right out front that you can see real well at night. Great house. Lovely experience.

We had a small family gathering here after attending our son’s recent wedding in Palm Springs. This home and property was perfect for us and well located between Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park. We felt like we were staying in a friend’s home and loved the design, tidyness and views. There are too many details to describe, but we agree with all the other positive reviews. It is a well built home with a very strong 60s vibe. The kitchen is well equipped and all drawers and cupboards were labelled. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Round House. The main feature is its approximate 42' of continuous floor-to-ceiling windows that spans the living room and overlooks the nice, desert landscaped yard. There was just the two of us, so really didn't take advantage of the home's numerous rooms. By the way, since the house is round, some of the rooms are pie-shaped as was the master BR. It would be a great place for a family, or two couples, or more.
The house appears to have been built in the 50's or 60's, and was probably quite the place in its time. Although a bit weather-worn outside, it is very comfortable and has all the amenities you need, including a nice garage that fits one vehicle comfortably.
The house is in Desert Springs which is about a half-hour away from Palm Springs, Palm Desert, etc. But that is probably why we got it for the price we did. However, it is that much closer to Joshua Nat'l Park.
Please note: the instructions for entering the house are a bit confusing. As far as we could tell, there is NOT an active alarm system one needs to disarm upon entering. Simply a lock box with the keys you need to come and go.

The Glass House is built around a circular kitchen, which was well stocked and legibly labelled. The panoramic views from the open living area featured desert specimens and local wildlife. The house was comfortable enough for a few days stay. The temperatures the week of our visit peaked at 117 F, so we were glad the air conditioning kept the house comfortable without issue.

This was a delight in many ways! The 50’s architecture, the landscaping and nature right out the front, and even some new technology (induction stove) to try out

The living room and kitchen were perfect to socialize, cook, and play games for a group of 8.The view over the garden with the wall of windows was amazing. We saw quails, rabbits in the wonderful garden of cactus and desert plants

I stayed with six friends and myself in October 2023. We were going to see the Power Trip festival. We had a great time. House had perfect amount of single beds for our party. We enjoyed the grill on the patio carport area. Ideal location to Coachella which was approximately 30 minutes away. Was a little further than expected to nearest coffee stop but nothing unreasonable (10 minutes?). I would highly recommend if going to any events at Coachella or Palm Springs for reasonable $ and large party.

The house was fine as well as the location. The weather was brisk but nice. The house was old but well kept and enjoyable.

The house is so cool - loved the setup. It had everything needed for our trip and was a quiet respite away from everything. Beds were comfortable (and there are plenty to choose from!)

It was lovely being in such a peaceful home with all that we needed. Mornings on the patio were perfect; seeing the wildlife, the view and feeling calm.

The house was great with the authentic mid-century vibe.

We stayed here for the second time and loved it again. A great time and such a cool house. The layout is nice and there are updates over time. We would stay here again. And again.

This place was everything I’d imagined and more. My friends and I stayed here for Coachella and it was the perfect oasis to rest after. Uber was about 1 hour away which was expected because of Coachella traffic. We had seen so many bunnies and enjoyed the endless views. The owner responded very fast to my concerns and there was so much direction which was so comforting. Overall, I had an amazing stay and thank you so much letting us stay!

Our family loved the round house! It was close to everything we wanted to see/do. The neighborhood was quiet and private and the garden was incredibly lovely. The round house is quirky and fun. What an interesting design and the front room with windows facing the garden was magnificent in the morning sun. Kitchen is well appointed. there was a lot of extra room, we should have brought friends! We would love to come again.

Such a good vibe this house. The wooden beams, circular structure, original built-ins, unique art, very comfortable furniture and beds. House is set-back and mostly hidden from the barely used gravel street.Floor to ceiling wrap-around east to west panorama front windows gives a feeling of being outside. Bunnies, roadrunners, hummingbirds, doves and more entertain.

I loved my stay in the glass house celebrating my birthday with my husband and two grown sons. We spent one day exploring Joshua Tree National Park which is close by. At night we went for dinner in Palm Springs which has many restaurants , shops and galleries. The next day we got a day pass in a nearby spa for massages and soaking in the hot mineral springs. Mostly, I just enjoyed sitting outdoors on the grounds of the house with the majestic views.

The Round House was beautiful! It had an excellent well-supplied kitchen, it is bright and airy with stunning views out large windows. Well placed furniture to enjoy those views. There were plenty of towels and supplies. Walking through the quirky, folk-art studded gardens made one smile. It is a great house to kick back and relax in.

Landscaping and view of mountains AMAZING! Enjoyed relaxing in peaceful atmosphere. House was very clean. Architecture was a marvel of mid century modern. 15 minutes from Palm Springs, 35 from Joshua Tree and other points of interest. Great stay.

This is a very vintage house with unusual pie shaped rooms. The front and back yards have birds and rabbits and there is a lot of visual interest outside the windows. The view of the mountains is lovely. We stayed three nights and found the beds comfortable. The shower is a tad complicated.
We found a nice restaurant Delicias and ate there every meal.
The living room was comfortable for entertaining and I liked the big table.

We loved staying at the Round House. It was incredibly clean, had everything we needed and more (cooking, laundry, seating, etc.) all in a vintage, quirky home with an amazing garden. We sat outside morning and evening to watch the birds and animals.
Area-wise, Desert Hot Springs is not a dining mecca but Palm Springs is close enough that we didn’t mind driving there and back for dinner after a day of hiking. The garden, relative proximity to Joshua Tree National Park (about 45 minutes to the main entrance, less to the. NW corner) were well worth that small inconvenience.
It is a vintage house, so things are not perfect: older bath fixtures and plumbing, for example (but new kitchen stove and oven) however the owner and property manager responded in record time the one time we needed something fixed.
Overall, we can warmly recommend the Round House.

Loved the property. Lots of unique bird species including roadrunners, California thrasher, cactus wren, and hummingbirds. Lots of bedrooms and space for large groups. Would definitely stay again.
4.8
There is everything from a 1 to a 5 in this property. The outdoor area was wonderful. The large windows in the front room with the view was the best place to relax and enjoy the fun wildlife and landscaping. Views of the mountains was spectacular. The bedrooms and bathrooms were rather interesting with hot and cold water reversed and pressure fluctuating. Lights and wiring were also interesting.
We weren’t expecting Palm Springs luxuries. This place was eclectic, clean, fun and well worth the price.

This is my second stay at the round house. This visit was just as good if not better! It is a very special house that is welcoming—especially during desert rainstorms! All good.

Six of us stayed in the Round House over Christmas. What a unique and eccentric place to stay! Sure we could've rented a cookie cutter condo but we opted for character and boy did we get it. The house was clean and well appointed. We absolutely loved the front patio area and spent most of our time out there soaking in the sunshine and enjoying the peaceful vibes from the yard. While there we enjoyed trips to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree NP. Communication with the owner and the property manager was great and they were both very responsive with my many inquiries. We would stay here again for sure. Thank you!

We stayed here with the family over winter solstice. The architecture and style of this house is inspiring and excites your imagination. The host was great, very responsive, and we didn't have any unmet needs during our stay. The big room in the back served as a warm and comfortable playroom for the kids. The kids loved seeing quail and rabbits through the big windows in the front. The beds were very comfortable, we slept better here than we do at home. Check out was so easy, the host didn't ask us to do anything beyond putting the keys in the lockbox.

The Round House is a wonderful place to base camp for exploring the Coachella Valley & Joshua Tree. Beautiful, tranquil landscaping and a fun mid-century modern vibe.

If you are looking for beautiful views in a one-of-a-kind property this is definitely the one. Classic 1950's upscale living with million-dollar views! Our family thoroughly enjoyed this stay!!

We really enjoyed the property, the home was comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped and the views were amazing!

Our 8 day stay at the Glass House was amazing. So much room for all 6 of us. The house was exceptionally clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed to prepare meals so we never needed to eat out and that saved a lot of money. We could even do laundry. All the comforts of home and then some.
