An amazing position to look out on the sea, great sunsets, wonder nearby beaches. Kitchen needs a bit of updating and more cutlery etc needed if six people stay.

This property is stunning!, right on the edge of Renvyle, with access to gorgeous beaches and walks in the area. The house itself has 3 great sized bedrooms with 3 en-suite bathrooms. The water is stained brown, but was fine for showering and washing up. The water temperature is temperamental, we started with warm showers but then went quickly to cold after about 5 mins, so rapid showers needed if you are in a big group. The oven is also slightly temperamental and took some getting used to, but the kitchen had everything in it you would need for your stay. The only other comment i would make is that the front door lock could really do with being replaced, it felt like we were breaking the door when we needed to lock it. You definitely need a car to get to local villages and towns for shopping, we would recommend a trip into Tully Cross (10 mins), Letterfrack (10 mins) Kylamore (15 mins) Clifden (35 mins). We also went sea fishing from Cleggan which was c.30 minutes away from the house. All round, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the views from the lounge window were breathtaking, we would absolutely return but would hope for some of the elements mentioned above to be improved (Water temperature, oven and front door) Rebecca

We booked having read amazing reviews, and then, just before our stay, saw a really negative review. So...a little balance... People booking this property are hoping for peace and quiet and beautiful scenery. The location is absolutely stunning, unrivalled views and although secluded, the drive to Letterfrack is not too much for pub, shop etc. For the price, this is an exceptional property. It is clean, comfortable and well-furnished and equipped. Beds are comfortable and despite the previous review, there was as much hot water as we needed...from either boiler or immersion. More could be made of the outside...a patio etc, but we were unusually lucky with weather and upgrades would make the rental more expensive. It would be helpful and easy to provide some sort of manual with information about the house and area...instructions, nearest shops, services etc. Also, the bedroom velux windows and circular window really do need blinds as the Summer sunrise is very early. The same bedroom has no handle on door or ensuite door...which would be easy to remedy. As to the brown water...this didn't bother us in the least. We have stayed previously in properties where the water is from a spring and picks up colour as in comes through the peat. It is perfectly drinkable, though some may prefer to buy bottled water for drinking and just use the tap water for hot drinks washing and cooking etc. However, this will be surprising for many renters, so either mention it ahead, or perhaps in a new house manual. We got everything we hoped for, had a lovely week, and would be happy to recommend

We truly enjoyed the stay. It was very relaxing and the windows make the perfect view. We were a bit concerned with the water that is a bit brownish color but the property owner stated that it was safe to use. Besides that we had a great time. The house had plenty of space and felt homey. Hopefully we can come back again soon

The location of the property is remote and beautiful. The property itself is well-loved. This is a comfortable, but not upscale property. We had no hot water, which caused us to shorten our stay. The host was cooperative, but it was an unpleasant experience. Also, there was no information about brownish water coming out of all water sources. We were told it was safe, but this should have been known at the time of booking. We are still working on getting the VRBO fees back, since we had to book completely new lodging for 6 of 7 nights--it was too late to depart night of arrival upon discovery of lack of hot water. Host offered an alternative place to shower and to fix hot water, but going somewhere else to shower wasn't reasonable for us. Host charged much more than 1/7th of our rate for the one night, which felt inappropriate because we arrived to no hot water. The entire experience was not conducive to a relaxing vacation. And, it's really difficult to reach a human at VRBO. I am STILL waiting to hear back from them from multiple follow-ups for a refund of their fee.

This well equipped and spacious modern house was set in a quiet, peaceful rural area with spectacular sea views in every direction. The house was warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated with many antique pieces of furniture. Lots of books were available to read or browse through. Walking around the area was a delight with the wildflowers and quiet lanes to stroll along. A good base to explore Connemara, car essential.
