About this house rental
Perched on a hill overlooking Nice, our historic stone farmhouse coes with lovely views of the Mediterranean and the surrounding hills. The property faces south & is seated on a very old olive grove on an acre of land. Originally a Roman watchtower, our entirely renovated 'Mas Provençal' was built in several stages over the centuries, and is steeped with character & charm.
The house is an ideal family holiday home, with lots of outdoor and indoor space, including a big heatable swimming pool, fruit trees (including delicious figs in August), a ping pong table, barbecue and plancha.
The spacious garden is perfectly safe for children & the land is protected by a wall and intercom for visitors. Tennis courts are 5 minutes away, and the seaside is just 15 minutes down the road.

We were a three generation family with 7 adults and 4 children who had a wonderful visit in Nice staying in this beautiful and comfortable house and garden. The pool was also much appreciated.

Fantastic Holiday
Beautiful house and garden. Very well equipped kitchen and good sized barbecue. Lots of seating areas outside, we were spoilt for choice. Swimming pool was lovely. Is on a steep hill but there is a bus stop at the bottom of the drive and tram stop at the bottom of the hill, so it is very easy to get into Nice and only 1.50 euro each way. Some lovely restaurants 10/15 mins walk away. Good communication from the owners, who were unable to greet us on arrival but very kindly phoned to check we had got there and everything was ok. Very easy to do a day trip to Monaco on public transport.
We had a fantastic 2 weeks and none of us wanted to leave at the end of it! Would definitely recommend and would definitely book again if holidaying near Nice.

Beautiful vacation
We spent a wonderful week in the house. We were a large family group and there were plenty of attractions for all the children. The swimming pool is fantastic and the temperature of the water was perfect. There is a steep staircase leading to the upper bedrooms but the view is fantastic. The bedrooms in the lower floor are a little humid but this did not cause any problem. The communication with Catherine and Edward was very good and they always answered to our questions within minutes. The location is very convenient and Nice old town and Promenade does Anglais are only 15- 20 minutes away by car.
All in all it has benn probably our best vacation in years even if one week was too short.

Absolute charm, lovely garden, great views!
My wife and I had such a fantastic time in this absolutely charming place with our 3 children! This was our first trip to the "old world" and our stay in this centuries-old house was something we will never forget. The owners (Edgar and Catherine) were a pleasure to deal with and really helped us get the most from our stay. We enjoyed our dinner drinking champagne around the exquisite medieval fireplace, and with the very mild weather this late autumn, our children were able to play in the big wooded garden and the swings in the trees. We even did a BBQ for lunch ! The living areas are warm and comfortable and very nicely decorated. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the spacious dining area looks out directly onto the garden and olive trees. With the tram terminal at the bottom of the hill, access into town and the seaside Promenade was easy, and fun for the kids. Tons of things to do in Nice and the surrounding area for adults and children alike, and the new park in the center of Nice near the Old Town was a big hit with our kids. The area also offers a lot of outdoor and cultural things to do including the neighbouring towns of Cannes and Monaco. We will definitely return, no doubt with friends next time.

A wonderful get-away
Myself, my family and our best friends rented this property for a special stay together. And we are so glad we did! The property easily sleeps 10, with mixtures of kids and adults. The top two bedrooms in the ‘tower’ as the kids called it, gave spectacular views over Nice. The ground floor comprised of a bathroom and toilet room, entrance way with plenty of space to store coats and shoes, then a living room with TV and a lovely fireplace. The best part was the huge kitchen/dining area with its warm golden glow. The kitchen then leads out onto a beautiful patio where we lunched and then onto the huge garden and swimming pool (both fenced and with an alarm). The gardens are fantastic for the kids to explore with ping pong, swings, hammocks, plenty of hiding places. The downstairs has three double bedrooms (one en suite), a bathroom and a laundry room. There are washing machines and tumble dryer as well as washing lines outside to dry your swimming stuff. The house is child friendly with baby gate, cots and plenty of toys to keep the littlest happy. There is a large hyper market fifteen mins away, glorious beaches and plenty of places to visit. The house has parking of up to 6 cars. Edgar the owner is an absolute pleasure to deal with and was available to talk to at any time had we needed it- but we didn’t because everything was perfect. We will definitely be returning !
