It is in the village of Cape Vincent, gateway to the Thousand Islands area of upstate New York. Maple Grove is the ideal location for exploring both the Canadian and U.S. sides of the famous Thousand Islands Region. Guests may enjoy swimming, sailing, boating, kayaking, bicycling, snorkeling, scuba diving, strolling in our beautiful gardens, walking to nearby Tibbitts Light House, or sitting on the front porch watching the ocean going ships as they pass to and from the Great Lakes.

No-cost 48 hour boat tie up may be available at the village dock and the dock at the State Department of Environmental Conservation Research Station. There is a public boat launch ramp in the village.

The vehicle ferry to Kingston, Ontario leaves from Cape Vincent. Boat tours of the islands and castles are available from nearby Clayton, Alexandria Bay, and Gananoque, Ontario. Cape Vincent is home to the annual French Festival. Maple Grove is the home of the annual Thousand Islands International Piano Competition for Young People.

Maple Grove is located on the mainland. It is not on an island. You will not need a boat as you would for almost all of the islands. You will not have to deal with the weather and logistics problems of being on an island.

The house is absolutely beautiful. My husband and I treated our adult children to a week long vacation (8 adults) and there was plenty of room for us all. The location is perfect! We visited Clayton, Alex Bay and Kingston!! All just a short drive (or ferry ride) away! I would highly recommend this house.

Our family spends one week each year at a different location. Maple Grove was the perfect place for us to relax and watch the freighters. The location was perfect- we were able to walk to and from the French Festival in Cape Vincent.

Our stay at Maple Grove was excellent. It has been several years since I have had the opportunity to stay in Cape Vincent and the house made it more like coming home rather than just a stay. The house is beautiful, well-kept, and comfortable with plenty of room for the eight of us that stayed. We will defiantly book again for next year.

Beautiful location for our family reunion
Beautiful location for our family reunion
Maple Grove is a beautiful home full of history, art, books and music! The property manager, Liz, is welcoming and very knowledgeable about the house and the surrounding area. And after check in, she was quick to respond to texts. We were not wanting for space and it had everything we needed, including toiletries, laundry detergent, etc. It is an old home, so it has it's quirks like steep stairs and wonky doors, but nothing off-putting and that's part of its historical charm. Regardless, it's a comfortable home and it It's conveniently located to all the Thousand Islands have to offer, but the best part is just rocking on the front porch, watching the ships go by and the kids play in the front yard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
