Port Douglas is also famed for its vicinity to the Great Barrier Reef & Daintree Rainforest (the oldest on the planet!). We're here to help with any booking you may need! Our tropical haven is likewise renowned for its award winning restaurants; here's a few recommendations to help guide your dining experience...
Harrisons at the Sheraton Grand Mirage
Recently awarded their 10th Chef’s Hat (making it Port Douglas’s only hatted restaurant) Harrisons menu is an experience in itself. Created by nationally acclaimed ex-London super-chef, Spencer Patrick, you can’t help lingering over his roasted Barramundi with scallops, clams and onion whey. A fusion of colonel and chandelier ambience, Harrisons is idyllc for snacks, cocktails, lazy lunches or candlelit romance by the poolside terrance.
Salsa Bar & Grill
Famed as the Local’s Favourite, Salsa Bar & Grill likewise embraces travellers on this culinary adventure. Laid-back elegance meets casual tropical dining in a revelation of atmosphere and taste creativity. Signatures like pesto melted-cheese bread, red-claw linguini & chocolate Cointreau souffle will create mouth-watering memories. So will the exotic fruit cocktails. With literal countless awards, put Salsa on a list alongside your Daintree & reef must-do’s.
The Mexican
Husband and wife team, Sarah & Jon Lovett, hold such great passion for both the region and upbeat dining, they’ve delightfully fused the two. Funky and casual, with sidewalk seating, The Mexican delivers a traditional menu with a twist. Try your tacos with local fresh crocodile and habanero, or pork belly with banana glaze. Love them with timeless chicken & beef? No problem! Try washing any flavour down with a chocolate tequila milkshake dessert!
Seabean
Once again on ‘Eat Street’, you can sit back and gaze over mountainous views & watch the ships roll in. Prized for its second-to-none tapas, the Seabean’s sharing plates are so exceptional, you’ll be planning your return holiday over extraordinary cocktails. No kidding. And once you’re done with the blue-cheese mushrooms and sherry-infused chorizo, do not miss the brulee. World renowned, folks have been known to travel the globe for its creamy delight & glazed perfection; all served in a local fresh coconut!
Watergate
Down a flame-lit path, you’ll enter the height of casual cosmopolitan dining. In the very heart of Port Douglas, Watergate offers a journey into contemporary Australian tasting. Using only Tablelands produce, homemade cheeses and fresh catch from local fisherman, its hard to pass up the reef fish of the day with kaffir & beurre blanc. The strawberry Geisha Girl cocktail will prove another highlight of your holiday!
The Tin Shed (Combined Club)
As the only restaurant & bar situated directly on the water, there’s nothing like sipping an icy cold beverage over the inlet, with swaying palms and white-boats framing the scene. The Tin Shed has a more casual, pub style menu, but second to none in value. You’ll find all-time treats like the seafood basket & parmigiana on offer, as well as curries, burgers and kids meals. Yet if you’re looking for something more adventurous while basking in the view, the San Chow Bow or blue-lip mussels are huge favourites too!
Sassi Cucina E Bar
Beside the sea, surrounded by vibrant bougainvillea, choose to dine under the stars or take a street seat for people watching. Eclectic and charismatic, Sassi’s will tempt you with the freshest, mouth-watering seafood, hand-crafted pasta & fragrant chargrilled steaks. Not to mention authentic Italian Pizza & spuntini at the bar. And if it’s your lucky night, you might even catch one of Tony’s (owner & executive chef) infamous serenades!
There is a two car garage space, as well as a driveway and street parking. The bus stop is only a 2 minute walk.

We were a party of 7 over the age of sixty five. We are not resort people and wanted a house big enough for us in a quiet area with our own swimming pool. This house was wonderful and had great outdoor living and living space. Jessica and Samantha are amazing and were so helpful and always available to give helpful advice or answer any questions. We really liked where this house was situated - out of the centre of Port Douglas but supermarket and other places of interest are very close and it was great to have such easy beach access. The Beach Shack is very close and wonderful for coffee and meals.

We had a wonderful time at this house. The interior was spacious and outdoor area was awesome. It was extremely well stocked. Close to eating establishments and groceries. Downtown Port Douglas just a short drive away. The house was exactly as portrayed in the photos and descriptions. Loved, loved this house! Jessica was terrific!

Thoroughly recommended if you’re looking for a large and well-resourced property on Four Mile Beach.
The owners were attentive and made everything easy for us from start to finish.
There are bars and restaurants within easy walking distance and the heated pool was a big hit with the kids.

We were very happy with the house and the service we received. Its was clean and the kitchen had all the necessities, with a stocked pantry. The only criticism we have is in regards to a few broken tiles in the pool.

Fantastic House
House was fantastic. Perfect for 2 families, with 2 main bedroom areas and 2 spare rooms for the kids. Perfect home and location for our extended reunion for a family of ten.
Having shortlisted 6 or 7 suitable properties from Cairns northern beaches to Newell Beach, we did drive-bys to make our final choice.
We chose "6 Beachside" for its very close (two minite walk) proximity to Fourmile Beach in a short quiet dead-end street with low traffic risk for our four young children.
We were not disappointed!
Two ballroom sized main bedrooms, one a self-contained retreat and the other with a massive bathroom, a double bedroom perfect for we grandies and fourth bedroom for other children accommodated our six adults and four children.
What else we loved....
* Spacious lounge living dining area.
* Large well appointed kitchen with cooking supplies to get us started.
* Great back patio/outside tropical living area adjacent to the...
* Heated swimming pool (apologies to the neighbours for the noise of the children)
.* Clean bright airy tiled throughout.
* So close to the wide sandy Four Mile beach. In the tranquil early-morning we observed stand-up paddle boarders and later when the breeze picked up the kite surfers at the nearby learn to kite-surf business. The kite propelled land sailor in his trike at low tide added to the atmosphere.
* The lack of a crowd where we could build build sand castles, kick balls and collect shells and sun bake in peace and quiet suited our requirements perfectly.
* Jessica and Sam made us feel welcome and were on hand should we need assistance - which we didn't .
* 10 out of 10! for our particular circumstances.

Absolutely perfect for the family and location was brilliant!
We loved everything about this place. Jess made us feel welcome immediately and the house was stocked with everything we needed. It was great to have all the daily essentials in stock like oils, spices and sauces. The kitchen had plenty of everything for entertaining, with great appliances through out. Internet and Netflix connections were perfect.
The pool was absolutely spot on for young kinds, with steps/ledges on 3 sides the little one could swim until her little heart was content and she was super safe. Great size pool for grown ups too.
We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay
We stayed for 6 nights and had a great time. The house was a great place to stay and Jessica and Sam were great hosts who went above and beyond to show us around the property and explain how everything worked as well as help us work our way around Port Douglas. Highly recommended.
