The property is in an ideal location close to Lake George and Saratoga. Very quiet with hiking trails nearby and fishing available onsite. David the host was great and made sure all accommodations were taken care of. We will definitely be back.

The cottage was at the bottom of a very steep driveway. It was very quiet and relaxing. We were right on the Hudson River. Beautiful view. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed for a nice little getaway. David, the host was very nice.

On the second day I saw a cockroach crawl out from under the toaster and my friend found one in the bathroom. David the property owner apologized for the roaches. He offered to give me a refund but to date has not followed through.

It is a nice family cottage with character. The kayaking was relaxing. Pretty spot right near the water. Enjoyed having a camp fire a few of the nights. Our host was helpful and kind.

The host is excellent- very responsive and clearly cares about the property. It had everything we needed for a long weekend getaway.

This is our fourth time staying at this cabin this is our favorite spot. Perfect for fishing everything you need all there. David is a great host, I'm sorry we didn't get to see him on this trip.

Great cottage tucked away from the hustle and bustle yet close to everything! Perfect views of State property across the river, so no noise, lights, or bothers day or night. David provides enough boats/kayaks/gear so all five of us could be on the water together. Very relaxing experience.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It had everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxed vacation. The owner checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed! It was in such a great location. So quiet and peaceful and the perfect location to explore the Adirondacks from!

The property and the host are wonderful. Place is well equipped and very comfortable. Great view. Newbies to the area, David was a friendly and very knowledgeable guide and info source. The paddling was very good. The beaver dam and lodge is a must see and a lil ways upriver for the beaches and access to trails. We identified 16 different bird species, two frog, two turtle, one toad, three squirrel, three butterfly and two moth, beaver, sunfish, lg and smmouth bass. A >20" Northern Pike jumped three separate times just off the dock!
Saratoga Natl Historic Battlefield was a special and even reverent visit. Day hikes at Lake George and a visit to Bolton Landing; recommend the BLBrewery. All very close to the cabin. Thank you David, hope to see you again.

We had a great stay! The view is beautiful. There is plenty to do without having to leave the property but it's also close to everything if you want to venture out.

It was a pleasure from the start- checking in was easy, the cottage was clean and secluded , on the water with kayaks provided for us to use whenever we wanted. Hiking trails were nearby as were supermarkets, pharmacies and restaurants. David( host) stopped in to welcome us and let us know he was only a call away. Also very dog friendly!! A definite repeat!

We had an amazing week at David's property! The cottage is situated right on the river with only one other cottage, which David also rents out. There is plenty of space between the cottages to feel private. Canoe and kayak rides on the river were a highlight for my family. We swam right at the property but there's a small sandy beach a short canoe ride away too. This cottage is peaceful and quiet but only 15 minutes away from the bustle of Lake George. We made so many wonderful family memories this week and hope to come back again!

Wonderful!
This property is absolutely lovely!! We wanted to be close to the area’s attractions but didn’t want to stay right in the thick of things. This cottage fit the bill perfectly! This peaceful spot allowed us to fish, boat, swim, and enjoy the scenery, but we were also an easy 15 minute drive to Lake George Village and other activities. The cottage itself is comfortable and had everything we needed. David is a great host. He was responsive to questions while booking, and it was great to have a chance to meet him in person during our stay. We hope to be back!!

Hidden Treasure
This property is a gem! Minutes from the highway but secluded and serene. It was close to all major activities, restaurants and shopping.
The property had everything you could need and so much more - plenty of room to stretch out, tons of outdoor space for relaxing, grilling, and playing!
Host David was amazing from booking to our stay. He provided kayaks and canoe and a few fishing poles and tackle.
The driveway was super steep but what an adventure!
We definitely recommend this property.

Quiet and peaceful
Dave’s cabins on the Hudson River is like a hidden gem. Quiet and peaceful, and a great place to relax and unwind. Close to everything but feels a word away. Our cabin was cozy and comfortable, and was well stocked. My kiddos loved the dock and paddle boat, and we all enjoyed being able to have our puppy with us. We look forward to returning.

Great weekend getaway
The cottage is comfortable, clean and in a beautiful setting. Check in was a truly easy, open door policy. David was prompt in answering our messages and addressing a couple of minor issues - a flipped breaker and shortage of washcloths. He was very helpful when a member of our party left her camera behind; finding and shipping it to her. I definitely plan to visit there again.

This is the definition of a true cabin.
This is our second time staying at the cabin and will not be our last. It is just perfect in that you have amazing isolation, but also very close to necessities if needed. David is so warm and inviting, best host that we have ever stayed with. We love hearing about the history of the cabin. The cabin is very clean and stocked with everything that is needed for your stay. David is just a phone call away for any issues, but we had none. The hill to get to the cabin is unbelievable. The first time that we went down the road, we thought that it might have been a wrong turn, but no, just super steep. Just doing it a few times and you won't even think about it.
This year one bedroom and the bathroom were updated from our last stay. Updates are wonderful. Can't wait for next year!

This is our yearly vacation spot!
My husband and I (and our 2 small pups) returned to the Bogue riverside cabins again this year. For us, it truly can’t be beat. We rent both of David’s cabins so that we have total privacy.
The majestic Hudson River is literally steps away and the property sits on a part of it that is more like a lake. Makes for excellent swimming! The view from either cabin is amazing. The kayaks, canoe, rowboat and peddle boat are right there to use at your leisure.
There are gas grills and charcoal grills available and great fire pits with plenty of backup wood. There is plentiful outdoor seating and I especially love the 2-person swings overlooking the water.
David is a most gracious host and is always responsive should his guests need anything at all.
We will return again next year. No doubt about it!

Nice rustic getaway
My family enjoyed our stay. It seems like you’re on your own island. Couldn’t beat the fishing, boats, kayaks, etc. all within steps of the cottage. The view was stunning and an all around relaxing vacation. Close enough to all attractions and far away enough from the crowds. My teen also rates the internet speed A++.

Relaxing!!
Our stay at the cabin was relaxing! The kayaking was awesome. It was more like a lake than the Hudson River. We saw tons of wildlife, even saw a Bald Eagle!! Location is wonderful, so close to everything. We went horseback riding and did the rail bikes at revolution rail in North Hudson. David, the owner, was really great! Very friendly and attentive. It was a pleasure meeting him and hearing stories about the cabin. We hope to come back soon!

Lovely home on the water
Our family had a wonderful stay at David’s house. Easy water access and kayaks at our disposable made it a very enjoyable week. The water is swimmable and easy for younger children and our pups loved to swim too! Thank you for sharing you beautiful space with us!

Beautiful views
My husband, myself and our two small dogs thoroughly enjoyed this quaint cottage right on the banks of the Hudson. It had everything needed for our stay and while it is an older property with no "bells or whistles " it was very clean and reminded me of my grandparents summer home in VT where many summers were spent growing up. The view of the river is incredibly beautiful and we saw families of ducks and geese swimming around. Our favorite area of the home was the large screened in front porch where you can enjoy the evenings without the bugs. Highly recommend this property!

Such a little gem for a relaxing get away. Secluded yet in the middle of everything. If you like to hike, kayak, bike, fish, or visit lakes (secluded or touristy lakes...your choice) this was the place to go. David and Brain were very attentive if we needed anything...even taking a fish off your hook ...LOLGreat Vacation!

What a beautiful cottage right on the water
Location location location. This cottage was perfect.Peaceful, but also very close to shopping for last minute essentials. Puppies loved the water, and the sunsets were stunning from the enclosed porch. The owner was wonderful for responding to questions and was so welcoming to his home, and telling us the history of the cottage. We can't wait to return.
