Nice location for catching the sunset. Close to bus stop. Sauna (but why charge extra?).
Mediocre breakfast (including watered-down coffee, which I more often than not had to wait for at a counter, with no one present; had to ring a set of chimes and await service, almost daily); croissants are served "on Tuesdays only"; fruit wasn't ripe (at least, the banana and pear that I tried were like a rock; I gave up after that). Evening meals (half-board) reminded me of public school cafeteria food -- bland and boring. The service was abrupt.
Dinner menu and hotel info and check-out instructions in German only.
When I checked in for my week-long stay, I wasn't told about/shown the downstairs area, which included a kitchen (seemingly for guest use), shoe-changing area, or ski-storage room (which appeared to have sleds and perhaps other material for guest use?) and who knows what other amenities. I learned about some of these amenities by following other guests over the course of the week.
Sauna sign-up system was confusing and draconian (and info in German only) -- For example, a group of 2 had registered for sauna use at 16:30. I tried to sign up for 17:30 or 18h, but was told that there was only one available slot for before dinner and it was already taken by the 16:30 group... So even if this group only used the sauna for 30 mins, there is no flexibility to allow for another group to enjoy the facilities. (They will plead Covid, but was the sign-up system different before Covid?). None of this was clearly explained at check-in.
Hushed atmosphere. Clientele seemed to be chiefly retiree-aged, in groups, who stayed in their groups. No spontaneous, friendly chatter across tables. None. After an entire week. Probably better for groups, but NOT ideal for solo travelers; not a friendly atmosphere (I stayed at a different hotel in the area my first week, and there was a warm, friendly vibe, delicious food, cozy feel. This experience stood in stark contrast to that and the pricing was not that different).

Very clean and quite large room. Friendly staff. A simple yet good 3 course dinner at 18:30 included in the price. Good for xc skiiers: About 150m from the marathon ski track, there is a well equipped waxing room with irons and waxing tables both for xc and alpine skis. From a Finnish point of view, the sauna (at extra cost) was surprisingly good (although the stove was Swedish brand :-) ). Self-service bar with affordable prices available for the guests.
The accommodation claims it is "not a hotel in the usual sense", which essentially means you need to put the sheets into the bed yourself, and there is no daily room service. Not a major disadvantage, but good to know to avoid false expectations. Otherwise as good as any hotel.
