OVERALL, we were dissatisfied with the poor communication, lack of welcome, inflexibility of the landlady, a serious fire safety issue, etc.
SAFETY – the bedside lights overheated. My toilet bag on the bedside locker burned after a few minutes under the light (at least 4in. above it), sending black fumes into the air as my husband slept.
COMMUNICATION – we booked & paid the deposit in March, the balance in Nov. On 16 Dec, I got a demand to pay the full rental amount “to confirm your booking”. This was consistent with several previous communication failures which had led to many sleepless nights through the year.
MISREPRESENTATION OF FACILITIES – an outline diagram on the website clearly depicts 4 toilets. There are only 2!
WELCOME – As advised we phoned the landlady to meet her on our arrival, but she told us she would not meet us, and we had to go to the agents, giving us the address. They were the wrong agents and knew nothing about us. Frantic phone call got us sorted, but it took at least an hour extra in getting into the apartment. The landlady, refused to budge in our check-out time (10am) at the end of the week. Also, the landlady did not speak English, which posed us minor difficulties.
LACK OF HELP with facilities – We were not familiar with the induction hob as we tried to cook dinner on our first night and breakfast the next day. Messages to the agent for help (we thought it was faulty) went unanswered until late the second day. Too late & no help offered.

Peut-être plus d'ustensiles de cuisines(cuillères en bois,petite passoire)
Attention aussi aux services a raclette,les petits poêlons ont été malmenés !

Le chalet Outo est spacieux, confortable, bien équipé et bien situé dans la station de Morzine. Nous étions 8 personnes et avons passé un très agréable séjour dans ce chalet à quelques mètres des pistes. Je recommande.

Spacious , clean and well equipped. Very near local supermarket and shops and just a short walk from the town centre.

The property was very spacious and had more than ample facilities for cooking and cleaning. The free wifi worked well when we worked out the router needed plugging in.
Responses from the property owner were prompt and courteous. I used Google translate to translate English to French. On arrival we were met by the owner who was very pleasant. However it soon became clear she spoke no English. I speak a little French but we managed to communicate effectively in the end.
There were ten of us staying in the property and we never had any issues with using the facilities as there was both a bathroom and separate toilet on the two floors. The double bedrooms had ample storage however there wasn't so much in the bunk room, but it's still manageable. Bed linen, tea towels plus bath and hand towels were provided.
The lounge/dining area was very spacious with ample seating for all using the sofa, bar stools and chairs available. There is a wall mounted TV and DVD player but we never used these. We did notice that the TV didn't have an HDMI input for those thinking of taking a PC loaded with films.
Two keys are provided for the main entry door. This may prove difficult if you ski in small groups however we found it fine. That said if you were ever locked out the owner lives directly opposite and offered to let people in if required.
The entrance hall on the ground floor has storage for skis and boots however it would be a tight squeeze to accommodate enough equipment for ten skiers/boarders. We didn't struggle as half of us chose to rent a locker in the village centre to save carrying our equipment back and forth.
There is a ski bus stop about 50 metres from the front door. This could be busy first thing in the morning. It's quite a walk into the centre/lifts but not an issue if you leave your ski gear in the village. I wouldn't want to walk it in ski boots though.
There was a pizza place next door that did takeaways that came in handy as we arrived early evening. There is also a small bar with restaurant a few steps from the apartment. There are a couple of other restaurants further along the main road towards the village centre, as well as a Casino supermarket and a butchers. The Casino is the nearest place to get bread in the morning but doesn't open until 8am. There is a bakery this end of the village that opens earlier if you want to get out for the first lift. It's around a 30 minute round trip if walking.
Overall it was very enjoyable.
