You can't find a more beautiful location in the area - we had a great vacation week here.

The property was a highlight of our stay. It was so peaceful and in such a beautiful spot. Have spoken about it many times since returning home.

Such a lovely home right on a beautiful pond located in the forest/woods of Ipswich. Beautiful property, well maintained and friendly owners. Would definitely return!

We arrived July 18, 2023 departed July 30, 2023
From the time we arrived we were dissatisfied. The home was filthy. I called the owner Whitney Hatch, told him that the frig was filled with expired food. He sent his son Hudson to remove everything from the frig , however I was left to clean the dirty frig, do 3 dishwasher loads of dishes,
Glasses, cups everything was dirty. The stove was filthy!!
The windows were dirty, the entire house was dirty the floors , the rugs had stains. The outside fence was broken and hanging needs so many repairs. The worst part of this terrible experience was dealing with the owner , Whitney Hatch. We texted a number of times, and he always had an excuse of why things were not up to par. I explained to him that VRBO have standards that he needs to follow and he certainly was not doing that. Funny, the Hatch family of Ipswich are such activist in the community about land, you would they need to raise their standard in preparing a house properly to rent it out. So that family’s get their moneys worth thinking they are going to have a vacation.
Not for me, it took me a week to clean everything so that we could use this property. Totally Unexceptable Mr. Hatch and family. I have rented many Vrbo and ever walked into something like this. It is of my opinion that this property should be shut down to renting until it is brought up to standard. The Carkonen Family

Very quiet getaway from the everyday city life. Wonderful community of small businesses. The heart and soul cafe in Ipswich is a must breakfast destination.

I loved this place so much. When we first arrived at the property, we thought we might be at the wrong place; tucked away on a private hillside overlooking a pond, it's even lovelier and more picturesque than the listing photos. The house itself is artfully designed, with a smart layout and beautiful finishes. Each bedroom (there are really three, though one is set up as a den) has a private bathroom. The rooms are positioned far apart from one another, which is ideal for privacy and solitude. The house is stocked with everything you could need. The showers had great water pressure, and steamy hot water (a minor detail, I know, but I always appreciate it). The hosts were kind and very helpful. I suppose the only drawback of this place is its (lack of) proximity to town. It's super close to Crane Beach, which is precisely why we booked it. But it takes a good 15-20 minutes to get to a grocery store. We didn't mind this in the least, but I could see it being an inconvenience to some. Overall, I would recommend this place 100 times over. We hope to be back next summer.

Beautiful cottage with a great view
The cottage was well cared for and had plenty of room to spread out. We loved sitting on the screen porch that overlooked the pond, listening to the birds. The location was convenient to beaches and other activities. Our host was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating.

The house was beautiful, clean & comfortable. Host was available for questions or concerns. Surroundings were filled with wildlife! Theere was swan family & a pair of cranes that came for daily visits. Quiet, peaceful & relaxing... Fill with family & friends for a GREAT VACATION! The bug season had just begun so bring spray & candles, Mother Nature rules at this house. ENJOY

The house is lovely in a beautiful setting. It’s also really well located-lots to do within a 40 minute drive.

The property is nice enough, somewhat difficult to find as it is down a long dirt road. The biggest issue we had was the poor quality of the beds and linens. There are 2 twin beds in what should be the master suite and a queen bed upstairs. The twins were very springy and sagged a lot. The queen as extremely firm and unpleasant. For the rates that are charged I was expecting higher quality bedding. The towels were also of low quality and very stiff. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Harvest Moon over the Lake was icing on the cake
Such a beautiful, comfortable house in a serene and lovely setting, two miles from Crane Beach, is a perfect escape from the city. The host is extremely responsive. Swans on the lake make it picture book beautiful.

The house and location were spectacular and the host was very helpful and accommodating, even letting us borrow his canoe to explore the pond. Close to Crane Beach and completely quiet and tranquil.

As we could not go to Paris to celebrate a milestone birthday/anniversary year, we drove to Ipswich in the year of COVID-19. This perfectly beautiful, peaceful sun-filled home on a pond with swans and egrets was lovely. Our hosts were delightful, left great instructions, and wood for the fireplace for the unusually cool evenings. We had a guided kayak tour in Fox Creek with the Trustees of the Reservation staff and delicious take out dinner from Ithikas. It is a very unusual and special setting one hour from Boston.
