Cool location, on a winery, on the bike path, has farm animals right out in the backyard, very spacious house and is beautifully quiet.
Those are the positives. The photos of the outdoor space are very misleading. The grass and weeds were so high we couldn't use it, and the outdoor furniture was rotting. There were random tools, broken bikes, and 4-wheelers sitting outside. We booked this place because we were traveling with kids who love to play outside, and it wasn't really an option.
The house was clean at first glance, but there were lots of bugs/spiders and cobwebs throughout. The house had a smell as if it were just wiped down with a wet rag rather than using any cleaning products. I know this wasn't the most expensive place to rent, but it just could have been better.

This is the second time we've stayed at the Winery rental and we love it. There are four of us attending a sewing retreat nearby and this home is located perfectly, close-by to our retreat conference room.
We love the fully-equipped kitchen as we take turns cooking each night and then sitting in the living room area to relax. There's a walking path near-by that's perfect for a refreshing stroll through the area as well.
A repeat stay should be enough to let you know how much we like the property.

Vacation rental had a great location to wineries in the Sebastopol area.

Everything was perfect about our stay! The place was clean and spacious. The winery on site was a real treat!

we enjoyed much about the property... the bedrooms, the kitchen, the common areas were mostly good. a minor annoyance was the lack of closets in two of the bedrooms.
the biggest complaint was the strong chemical smells from cleaning products. the living room had a overwhelming fragrance that smelled like it was embedded in the curtains. the laundry room was full of cleaning products and the smell was so overpowering we had to keep the door shut the entire time and even then it leaked out. One family member was unable to stay due to the odors.

We’ve stayed here twice. It’s a beautiful home inside and charming country feel with farm animals and trails to walk. Wine tasting with Julius at Ektimo was really wonderful. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars overall was due to the crazy price this year compared to last and the first bedroom where I slept, the mattress is on its last legs and needs to be replaced (I slept horribly😞) we love this property and the surrounding countryside

This is a great property for a group visiting Sonoma - would absolutely stay again!

2 king ensuites were great and hard to find. Everything we needed was there. Liked having goats and lamas next door!
Outdoor area could be better - lawn furniture, flowers, etc

Great place to stay!
Had lots of stuff you needed when flying in from out of town and staying for a week. Our kids enjoyed talking with the goats.

Sonoma County stay
Had a great time at the property with another couple that we travel with frequently. There was plenty of room to spread out in the home and had a kitchen equipped with all we needed. We loved all the animals onsite and say "hello" to them each morning before leaving for our day of tasting. The property seemed so far away in the country, but in actuality it was so close to everything. Loved our stay!!

This house was a good value compared to many houses in the SF / Napa area, but was a bit farther out than we had anticipated. If you're looking for remote, this is a perfect house though!
Pros - Value, size, farm animals outside, pond
Cons - Tall weeds in backyard made area unusable, limited cable options, no privacy curtains in bathroom

Lovely property, pleasant stay
We enjoyed the house and the grounds, especially the nature sounds at night coming from the pond. The house is spacious and clean. The wine tasting at Ektimo was fun and we brought a couple of bottles home with us. Would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay! The property was beautiful and charming, surrounded by fields and home to a few farm animals (no noise issues though). Another great amenity is that it's right off a biking/walking trail that traverses Sonoma County. We enjoyed using the trail for exercise and to walk to a few nearby wineries. The home was comfortable & beautifully furnished, equipped for basic cooking. A note: the wifi can be a bit finicky in different rooms, but 3 of us were able to use the wifi to work remotely at the same time. We gladly accepted a free wine tasting at Ektimo Winery, where the home is located, and really enjoyed the wine and chatting with the winery manager!

The pictures of this home does not do it justice! This place is exceptional. Large rooms and just laid out and decorated very well. Jerry was nice enough to allow me to give my daughter a baby shower there and there was plenty of parking as well as plenty of seating inside. I will definitely rent agin next time I am in need of a place in Sonoma wine country.

A retreat getaway
Four of us attended a weekend retreat in Sebastopol and this house served as our base for the 4 days we were there. We each had our own rooms with only two of us having to share a bathroom which makes it easy. The best feature was the ginormous table next to the kitchen where we made shared our meals - really nice. The area is quiet and adjacent to a great walking trail. Great house and location.

Very comfortable and roomy. Minor things: lighting is a little problematical - Many switches, not sure what some work. Heating is uneven from from to room. But, overall, very satisfactory.

Location, location, location! Older property, but in good shape. Perfect for 2 couples since it has 2 master suites. The location was perfect for traveling wine country.

Sebastopol gem!
We had such a great time staying at this property. Was exactly what we needed and was very clean. Would definitely stay here again!

I'd stay again
Nice ranch home. Up graded in all the right areas. And clean to boot. The pond was dry, but, the drought doesn't help!

Great Stay!
The house was exactly as advertised and quite comfortable for all of us. Jerry was very responsive to all our questions.
We made dinner one night of our stay and would say the house has pretty good kitchen amenities (appliances, pots, pans, dishes, glasses). The house had basic spices like salt, pepper, garlic powder, oils, but as expected we did bring our own specialty spices, utensils, etc.
We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the goats and alpacas in the paddock and walking the nearby the community trail.
We had an amazing tasting at Ektimo winery. Julius was a fantastic host, very knowledgeable and full of great stories.
Great place to hang out and relax. We’ll definitely be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Julius and Lee made themselves available for any questions that we had. Great house for 3 couples., we used as our base for wine tasting in Napa., canoed down the Russian River. Would stay again!

Jerry was very accommodating and nice. Loved the location, close to trails, and surrounded by vineyards and an on-site farm. We didn't get to do a tasting at Ektimo, but they gave us a bottle of Sauvignon blanc so will definitely drink it. Home was spacious and had many kitchen amenities to cook breakfast and dinner. Thumbs up!

The amenities of this place were highly lacking. There we no clean dish towels ,bath towels were crusty and had to go buy our own, no hand soap and no shower soap or shampoo. Beds were hard as a rock and the over all feeling of the place felt run down. Very depressing!! on a positive note the goats and llamas were adorable and the walking path was great. oh the photography on the walls was a nice touch. I highly urge the owner to give it a fresh coat of paint, new linens and most definitely stock with towels and soaps. lastly this place needs a deep cleaning and massive amounts of fabrize the odor was horrible. hope this helps.

We spent a week in this very comfortable home located on the Ektimo Vineyard property. House was spotless. Rooms were spacious. The washer and dryer was a huge bonus! Jerry, the property manager, was very responsive.
Loved the private wine tasting in the Tasting room! And, it was fun having goats as neighbors!

This place had a lot of potential, but no one wants to rent potential.

Nice place but needs some maintenance
Nice property, accurate listing, well furnished but master bathroom was missing toilet roll holder on wall, one of the towel racks there was held together by packing tape, another towel bar was missing but had hardware left on wall, fixture over master bath sink was missing cover, kitchen fan had been replaced and had wire running across front of cabinets instead of properly hiding wire, light switch plate in master bathroom missing screws, paint needed on master bedroom wall where some sort of control panel had been removed, cobwebs in kitchen and laundry room, etc.

Lots of space, beautiful scenery, nothing fancy
If you are seeking luxury accommodations, keep searching.... Otherwise, you've found the best spot possible! It was clean and spacious (both inside and outside) with all the amenities we needed. We had 6 ladies for a kid-free bachelorette weekend and it was great to have so much space to get ready and chill out. The THREE bathrooms and TWO King beds are what sold us on this listing, an excellent layout for an adult weekend getaway. The beautiful scenery and walking trails were a huge plus!
The host had a thinly stocked kitchen (literally only 6 wine glasses at a winery? And, the coffee maker is only an 8-cup! We had to make 3 pots each morning, ha!), but we found ample tools & dishes to prepare meals. We did have to run the dishwasher after EACH meal due to so few measuring cups & utensils. They also had a generously stocked laundry room - we were able to borrow a cooler, a steamer, and had full laundry available.
Bedding was all very comfortable and Jerry was at the house within seconds the two times we needed something. He does live on site, so it was a little awkward knowing he could be just outside our windows caring for the animals - but he was very respectful and we never felt uncomfortable.
I would 100% stay here again. Thanks for a great experience!

Lovely location in winery. Fun to have goats, llamas, chickens, and ducks on property. House comfortable and nice for family. Yard and grounds needed to be mowed, bushes, roses overgrown. House has great potential. Needs top sheets on bed and light blanket for summer. Had comforters that were too hot for summer. It was right near a walking trail that was lovely to enjoy the country side. I would stay there again.

There is a large open kitchen, dining and living room space with updated appliances, heat/cool system, substantial table / dining space(s) and big beds and bedrooms and ample bathrooms. It’s at the end of a very quiet winery (free tasting & wine included) parking lot but that adds to the charm. You can sit outside and enjoy the many birds on the adjacent pond, feed the kid friendly goats next door or enjoy easy walk/bike to Forestville, Graton or Sebastopol. Great for families with kids - our 5yr old loves watching the animals and riding her bike on the near by path. We’ll be back!
