Great location
4.5
Very impressed with the cleaning work the staffs done during daytime. Keeping the property tidy and clean.
Not far away from the bus stop, and easily accessible.
Staff explaining the information very clearly and good Onsens are introduced to us.
I have made the restaurant reservation before flying from UK to japan but none was booked. When we arrived, most restaurants are fully booked and the staff immediately help us to reserve other options. However, maybe due to communication issues between staffs, we didn't get any reply about the booking so we go out to buy some instant noodles and snacks back to eat. After we finished the dinner, another staff knock the door and told us the reservation that night was made but we already full.

Very nice staff and good breakfast.
Location is ideal.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, plenty of options to choose from.
Slight walk to the snow; 10-15mins. Bed was not the most comfortable however considering the price, it could have been worse.

Great Location and Great Stay. Free Local Shuttle to Ski hill only 30 second walk away. Breakfast was best we'd have in Japan through our travels. Great Shared shower and small onsen in basement. Ski storage/ boot room was large and dried out the hear every night. Staff very friendly and helpful and speak English. Traditional sleeping, room was clean and spacious even with 4. Highly reccomend the stay.

Loved the location and the breakfast was fabulous
Best of all the very friendly staff who went to great lengths to book restaurants for us
would love a communal area to sit and chat at the end of the day

Friendly, accommodating staff, comfy futon, clean toilets and showers (honestly, I'm quite particular but these were super clean and nice), good variety of food at breakfast, and a good location - about 10 mins walk to the Nagasaka ski area. The heater in the room gets warm really quickly so you'll be nice and cosy.
The walls are paper thin - someone opening their door down the corridor sounded like they were coming into our room. But guests were really considerate so it didn't disturb us. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs.

Great location, standard sized rooms and amenities. Staff helpful in providing restaurant recommendations.
We were given two bath towels and 2 hand towels for our 4 night stay. when I asked at reception for an extra towel (both bath towels had been used and were still wet) the reply I received was “Sorry, we can’t do that. This isn’t a 5 star hotel”.
All good. We expected basic accomodation, however for close to $500 AUD a night (50,000yen), I expect an extra towel if I need one.
No heating in hallways or shared bathrooms.

Good value for money, the manager Sunny was super helpful giving us advice on onsens and restaurants, even booked a restaurant for us.
no parking on site and stairs only to get up the third floor, we did get help moving our suitcases.

Great spot close to all of the restaurants and bars (about a 2 min walk). Delicious breakfast with a great range of options. Staff are super friendly and offer helpful recommendations. An awesome futon experience!
Bedroom walls are thin and so it can be a little noisy
A little far from the ski resort (about a 15min walk) -l

An incredible location right in the middle of Nozawa and very close to a shuttle bus pick up to the gondola. The staff were lovely and always helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The staff alone made this place wonderful. They are the best.

Friendly, cosy place. Great location (very near bus stop and central in the village). Clean and bright. Superb breakfast buffet. Excellent value for money.

the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast spread was absolutely amazing! really makes your morning pretty special with the home baked bread;)
the futon that they prepare was also very comfortable!
the walls are a bit thin, so you can hear the people next door if they are talking loud.

15 mins walk to the main ski lift, very friendly staff and a nice clean tatami room. bathrooms are shared but also very clean. would stay again.
overall had a good stay! no complaints

warm clean and comfortable.

Great location, right nearby center and bus station, 10 min walk to the gondola if you avoid carrying your ski equipment (you can leave it at night at some of the ski rental shops there). Comfort level good for such minshuku style hotel, everything looks clean and fresh (incl. freshly backed bread in the morning which was so tasty ;) and staff is very nice, fluent in both Japanese and English on top.
3.5
Staff is very friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The distance to the bus terminal and ski shuttle bus is amazing and very convenient. Breakfast was good and even serve fresh fruit!
Walls are not sound proof and you can hear everything including neighboring rooms. Shared bathroom and shower. Room size is small. Despite these, we would stay again.
3.5
Breakfast is buffet style but best bread in town made by resident Meister baker Adi. Gets you ready for the day on slopes.
Needless to say, a natural hot spring is what they need in a town whose name means Nozawa Hot Springs.
4.5
- Very hospitable hosts and staff.
- Great breakfast with superb bread.
- Relaxing common areas.
- Everything was very clean.
- We arrived very early but could check in anyway.
- We had no complaints.

Both the facility, and the staff exceeded my expectations. I will definitely stay here again. Given the price, this minshuku is first rate. Everything is very clean, and convenient from the good quality slippers at the front door, to the tatami mats in the rooms The heating in the rooms is good. Breakfast included home made bread, and muffins. However, what really made my stay was the staff, particularly Carolina and Adi. They are the very best at what they do. Truly 5 star hospitality. All of their recommendations were also spot on. From the Italian pizza shop to the furusato bath.
We had no negatives at all. I didn't use the showers, as I showered every day when I went to the Onsen baths outside the hotel, so I can't comment on that.
