Beautiful hotel, beautiful surroundings. Breakfast is ok, buffet style. Dinner is buffet-style too. Nice room, but very warm and no AC.
Dinner is buffet style, you pay 49 euro's pp, and an extra 5 euro for a coke, 0,3l water or a beer. The food is average, I found a piece of french fries in mayonaise bowl on the buffet. It all feels like being trapped; there's no other restaurant nearby, and bringing food onto the premisses is not allowed. The Maison du Gardinier, the building we stayed in, is beautiful and equipped with a large nice living room, with a kitchen. However it's not there to be used by guests.
The pool: nice pool, smelly Hammam, bees everywhere, broken or at least worn sunbeds and sundeck. Even in the middle of summerholidays the pool closes at 7pm. From ten on, the pool is part of the wellness and to be used as a floating bassin for the elderly. Even though there were no elderly, children have to move out.

Not very large room, only one small window could be opened, however, fan was provided. Comfortable bed.
Breakfast was not included. Small saunas.

the location, the breakfast, the dinner, the service
too many steps without banister, no plan of al the possibilities, no plan of all the buildings, reception too hard to find....

The views are lovely, and the general surroundings are very peaceful. The swimming pool area is amazing, it has a seperate pool and play area for children and then mini pods for the sauna and a steam room. They have loads of garden games you can borrow and board games. We have 4 children and the space for them to run around, swim and play football and mini golf were great. The family room was great with lots of beds and blacked out windows.
There is no lift so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs, which is fine as it was only 1 floor. Luckily it wasn't that hot when we were there as our family room got quite hot and these is no air conditioning and only a tiny flat. There are very few restaurant options in the area. To get to our room there is a long stone path from the car park to the room so it's very hard to roll a suitcase so you have to carry it. The rooms were quite basic with paint knocked off the wall but beds were comfortable.

We adored this place: an old castle, wih many side buildings, each of them decorated with a lot of character. Situated in a forest, on top of a hill, great views. There is a nice pool, saunas, hottub. Many activities to do in the neighbourhood, they provide games, there is a nice bar with several cosy rooms, tennis, mini-golf, ...
dinner is rather expensive (€49/pp without drinks)

Incredible facilities, beautifully decorated and amazing value for money!
It was all amazing!

The building and facilities are amazing and good staff
The restaurant was out of keeping and only served buffet style food though it was very expensive. I expect more than mini beefburgers and lasagne as hot dishes on offer. Not allowed to finish a glass of wine out of the restaurant whi h is ridiculous

Perhaps the best breakfast we have had for a long time in a hotel !
I was hesitant on how to evaluate this establishment as it really is quite magnificent. A lot of care has been given in refurbishing the guest area and the furnishings are well on trend. Sadly no so for the shower…my husband (73) slipped and hurt himself and was very shaken. We of course mentioned to reception what had happened and the young lady said she would report it to her superieurs. I even wrote them to say it was a shame that with such attention to detail, that the shower was not slip proof. I strongly suggested slip proof shower mats. I did receive a standard copy paste type of reply…. Dear…….. then a blank as my name had not even been added…. No further communication was received. A little note from a ‘superior’ asking how my husband was doing would have been courteous and gracious but sadly nothing…. I write this as I hope that slip proof mats will be installed to save someone from seriously injuring themself.

The landscape on the property is incredible. The rooms are ok in the House of the gardener. Cleaned with kettle for tea and coffee. Bed was comfortable.
Zero facilities/comfort in the common parts. There was not even a cup to have water although a kitchen with microwave was in place. The fridge had attached to it and was closed with a lock?! And in the sitting room full of tables with chairs was clearly written “do not use the tables for eating”. Maybe they were contemporary art :)) totally counter-intuitive, cheap messaging. I was very disappointed by this lack of comfort in common areas. Not recommended for groups as you will be confine to your room if is raining outside, like it happened to us.

beautiful place with nice personal

Just a beautiful location with lots of space, the room was large enough with quirky bed spaces the kids loved aged 8 and 11. lots of trees to climb and places to run around. bar area and dinner was easy and relaxing again with games for kids to play close to bar. great deep sleep was had by all!
check out could be better at 12. no bath robes and coffee not strong enough . play area could be updated and spruced up a bit.

The location, the bedroom, the views to the forest and land... an incredible getaway spot. The bar and resting rooms had the perfect balance between coziness from the old building , and freshness from a tasteful interior design.
De lock of the door to the bathroom didnt work, and the instructions of the heating system weren't very clear.
4.1
beautiful location and comfortable room
an addition of things not working/present that gave us a lesser experience (cold pool while announced at 32 degrees, electricity failure so no sauna nor hammam, no wood for the fireplaces, no more eggs left to cook at breakfast half way through, etc)

I came here for an overnight stay in mid-November. I had stayed here before for a work event but did not have the chance to make the most of the facilities. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. There are a lot of outdoor activities available and you can borrow a lot of equipment.
I really enjoyed the Maison du Jardinier. It is a very cosy and a short walk to the Castle, where the meals are served, and the wellness area. The common area, with the fireplace in the evening, is lovely.
The dinner was exquisite. There were so many choices and everything was very nicely cooked and using good quality ingredients.
The staff were all very helpful and and friendly.
It was a perfect relaxing weekend and I'm looking forward to my next visit already.

The hotel area was very large and beautiful, with a lake in the valley and beautiful castles. The breakfast was also very nice. The pool area was great too, and fortunately it's all so big that there are never many people in any one area. For instance, when we went swimming in the pool, we were the only ones there.
The room was a bit small and warm, and didn't have airconditioning. Fortunately there was a fan but it was still quite hot.

This is the most beautiful place we have ever been to. Perfect for families. Great value for money.
Nothing comes to mind.
