Disappointing experience

I booked the place in November 2022. I was supposed to be there on the 2nd of July 2023. On the morning of the same day, I received a note that they cannot accommodate me. The apartment was occupied by other people all the days and I have photos to prove this. 6 hours before my travel I had a hard time finding accommodation and not to cancel my trip. They lied to me and they are asking me to rate them like nothing happened. Today 16/7/2023 after 14 days, my credit card is still blocked for the amount I was supposed to pay in cash on site. Stay away......

Lovely apartment in Zaton

Lovely apartment 2 good sized bedrooms Air conditioning TV with English language movie channels 5 metres from water's edge Beautiful views Hot tub (but we couldn't figure out how to make the water hot) Walk to 2 small supermarkets Peaceful and tranquil 10 mins drive to Dubrovnik

The only take cash payment when you arrive, which we didn't expect. Very expensive. I'd say the price is 50% too high compared with other accommodations we booked in Croatia. The kitchen was not particularly well equipped: but owner was very obliging and supplied things that we requested. No washing machine, so we had to hand wash. The shower flooded the bathroom 3 times during our stay The terrace and the three sun loungers were also being used by other residents (permanent residents seem to live in the 2 floors above). Most days the terrace was occupied and we couldn't use it until late afternoon. One night the other residents stayed on the terrace all night talking and playing music which kept the occupants of the front bedroom awake for much of the night. No formal check-in / check-out system.
