We loved our stay here! The property was so charming, the view from the porch absolutely beautiful, and our host even welcomed us with fresh pumpkin bread. We would definitely stay again!

Great location for a short drive to town. The house was decorated beautifully with great detail. You truly feel welcomed when you open the door. The large deck was great as well as the view. One thing I noticed in particular, on the back deck is super quiet and peaceful. The king sized bed was super comfortable, but to be honest I would sleep outside for another loaf of that homemade pumpkin bread. What a wonderful relaxing place!

This rental is really a lovely place to stay!
The drive through horse cove is beautiful!
It’s the lower level of their home. Very quiet and
Large area, decorated and cozy. View was amazing.suggestion in the driving directions be sure to stay to the right and not go up the hill
Beds were soo comfortable, great sheets.
The kitchen is small but very well equipped
Loved the banana bread, delicious

We stayed for four nights with our two young children. The property was clean, comfortable and so relaxing. There were lots of games at the house to which we enjoyed playing in the mornings and evenings on the porch. It was so nice to have the option to use the old Edwards club. Cathy was the most wonderful host you could ask for and was super responsive and accommodating to all our questions and requests (and she was out of the country!) We highly recommend staying here!

Excellent house close to downtown Highlands and short drive to Cashiers. Close to many great hiking trails. Very peaceful and quiet place. Perhaps I missed this, but does not have a full kitchen. Outside of that was perfect and spacious.

Our first visit to the Highlands area was so enjoyable! The location was perfect, the accommodations magnificent, and meeting Cathy and Jim was a bonus. Her pumpkin bread was an added welcoming treat as were her suggestions for shopping and restaurants. We look forward to another visit!

Beautiful home, great host, spectacular views, and near downtown.

The property was exceptional! A hidden gem in the Blue ridge Mountains. The property had all the amenities you could need for a mountain getaway.
The property is spacious, has incredible views and all the comforts of a cozy home.
I will only comment on the lack of a kitchen. While there is a microwave, sick and a coffee maker, there is no stove so if you’re planning to stay in the mountains and not go into town to dine, this may be a challenge.
The property owner was so great at communicating any information about the property and left a mostly lovely pumpkin bread for us to enjoy when we arrived. The deck has exceptional views of the mountains a most welcoming outdoor space.
The property is part of a shared home although you have a private entrance and deck.
I will most definitely love to visit here again!

We felt like we found a secret gem in this amazing stay! It was better than imagined, more lovely than the pictures and fully stocked with everything one could need! The porch is huge, the rental is very spacious and the host were very responsive. The freshly baked delicious pumpkin spice bread was such a nice welcome treat as well.
We absolutely plan to stay here again in the future!

We were thrilled with our stay at the Four Seasons Highlands property. Cathy, the owner, was incredibly accommodating and welcoming--leaving fresh pumpkin bread for our arrival. I'm a bit of a bed snob, and the beds / linens were fabulous. That makes a difference in my experience always. The property was also filled with wonderful art and found objects. I would love to stay here again.

Highly recommend this listing! Beautiful views, clean and quick/easy communication with property owners. Drive is about 10-15 mins into town but a beautiful drive especially during the fall months! Sadly we were unable to meet Cathy and Jim but they assisted from afar with wonderful recommendations/suggestions and setting golf up for my husband. We look forward to staying here again in the future and have already recommended this listing to a few family members and friends!

This place is charming, comfortable, and exceeded our expectations from the listing! And that's not the best part... Jim and Cathy were warm, inviting and super accommodating. They were helpful in setting up reservations, suggestions and were available throughout our stay while being very respectful of our privacy. It was like having a concierge at one of the nicest resorts!
Cathy welcomed us with homemade bread that was delicious. Meeting them was an added bonus to our stay.
We will definitely be back!

Nice property. Very clean. About 15 minutes from downtown.
No kitchen in the unit as this is a finished basement. Great views of the mountains. Very enjoyable weekend.

Cathy was an amazing host… A richly appointed interior, super clean, incredible view, she baked us a homemade spice cake which was delicious and also got us reservations into the two top rated restaurants that were completely booked…I most definitely would stay again and I highly recommend Cathy and her property…Thanks for a wonderful stay Cathy… All the best to you!

View from the Tree Tops!
Our family of 3 had the best stay at this lovely property! First, the view is just spectacular. You have this instant connection with nature as you are one among all the trees...beautiful view of the mountains with clouds nestled in the gap. The oversized covered porch was ideal for morning coffee, playing cribbage, and enjoying an after dinner beverage. Second, the interior is finished with white wood on the floors, walls, and ceilings adding to that tree top feeling! We loved the location of the King Bed as we had non-stop views of the vista. Side note, the bath towels are some of the nicest I've ever experienced! Last, the location to downtown Highlands was very accessible...only took 10 minutes to get into town to visit our favorite shops....Mountain Fresh Grocery, Annawear, and Dutchman's!
Our hosts, Jim and Cathy were very responsive and made us feel right at home! We will definitely stay here again (if they will have us)!!

Perfect August Weekend
My brother and I waited until last minute to book our annual mountain/hiking birthday trip. Decided to go to the Highlands this year to beat the heat. We were lucky that this property was still available given how close it was to downtown highlands. Going forward, this property will be our first Choice!
When we pulled up to the property, the owner greeted us and showed us around. You could tell they put in time on effort into making guests feel comfortable. They provided us all of the knowledge necessary to feel like we were locals.
The property itself was super clean and the deck/porch with the Mountain View’s wildly exceeded our expectations! We’d recommend this property to anyone visiting the highlands!

Had a wonderful experience in the cabin . Very friendly owners - Made the check in very easy and very helpful in facilitating Golf and hiking advice.
The cabin is very spacious and had ample room for a family of five. Also had a comfortable porch to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful mountain air .

We had a terrific trip to the Highlands. Staying at this suite was wonderful. The hosts were so friendly and engaging (only as much as you request in terms if interaction) with local tips on hikes, things to do etc. Jim even rescued us to redirect us to the right direction on a hike.
The suite is separate and below the primary residence with its own entrance and patio. There is a kitchenette w minifridge, coffee machine, ice machine and utensils. Very thoughtfully laid out space given restrictions in the kitchen. There were lots of games for kids, high speed internet for work we had to do and comfortable patio furniture. Short fun 15 minute drive to the main strip for pizza, restaurants, etc. We highly recommend and if we are lucky maybe we will get to stay again in the future. What separates this stay was the personal touch from the hosts who really helped make our short trip a great one.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at the Four Seasons Suite on Chestnut and have Cathy and Jim as our hosts. Upon arrival, we received a text from Cathy that there was a loaf of pumpkin bread for us on the deck near the front entrance. It was still warm, delicious, and a nice surprise.
In the weeks leading up to our visit, Cathy was very responsive each time I had a question. She gave us outstanding dinner recommendations and we took her up on every one of her recommendations.
We had memorable dinners at On the Verandah, Wild Thyme Gourmet, Madison’s at The Old Edwards Inn & Spa, and Meritage (we got takeout). We also had excellent lunches at the Mountain Fresh Grocery (pizza and cookies) and Slab Town Pizza.
Cathy remembered things I mentioned to her in our many texts prior to our visit regarding things we were celebrating and relayed those things to the staff at Madison’s, which made it a very memorable dining experience.
One of the many reasons we chose the Four Seasons Suite was because of the access to The Old Edwards Inn & Spa, as well as the Old Edwards Club golf course in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Jim accepted my invitation to play golf and he gifted me with his local knowledge of the course and the surrounding community.
The front nine of the course is through the lush mountain valley and the back nine takes you to the top of the highest ridges with several hundred feet of elevation changes on some holes. Absolutely stunning.
Our first-floor suite of the three-level log home was amazing with a private entrance and three sets of French doors leading to the deck.
Other memorable features of the suite were the beautiful mahogany floors and the spectacular bathroom and brick shower. The kitchen area room has everything you could ask for including a small frig, sink, microwave, ice-making machine, and washer and dryer. The Bose stereo playing relaxing music when we arrived was also a nice touch.
The nearest waterfall to the cabin was Secret Falls, and it was awesome. There are two viewing areas, one up close that allows you to walk in the water or on rocks and get right under the falls, and another to the right that gives you a different perspective and to see the water cascading over the rocks and into the creek below. You can also safely cool your feet in the water there. We also saw Whitewater Falls, Silver Run Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Dry Falls, and Sliding Rock Falls.
