About this apartment rental
This charming house is located in the village of Câmara de Lobos, just 15 km from the city of Funchal.
Casa da Praia is a historic fishing village with amazing direct sea views and has been carefully restored and decorated in 2018 by an antique collector. The House has three independent apartments in the same building with unparalleled quality.
Sir Winston Churchill visited this picturesque village of Câmara de Lobos in 1950 and painted a marine landscape representing the bay.
Each apartment is fully independent and has its own style, fully equipped kitchen (modern facilities allow you to cook with ease), bathroom and living room with private balcony sea view (first floor) and terrace (top floor).
Câmara de Lobos is the most important fishing village on the island of Madeira and is known for its gastronomic fish and meat restaurants, such as Ilhéu e Vigário, pubs and a special local drink from Madeira, called "Poncha".
On the slopes of Câmara de Lobos there are the famous vineyards of Madeira, such as Sercial and Malvasia.
Our guests will be able to visit the Ilhéu de Câmara de Lobos, a cliff overlooking the sea that resembles an island that for many years was the home of the fishermen of the area.
This area has recently been renovated and has a beautiful garden with perfect views of the city and the ocean.
Also in Câmara de Lobos our guests can not miss Cabo Girão.
At 580 meters, it is the highest viewpoint in Europe.
This lookout has a suspended glass platform and is one of the most popular places in Madeira.
The nearest Levada is the Levada do Estreito, which starts in Garachico, and is ideal for those who want to explore the vineyard's views of the island.
