This beautiful home is perfect for Families! Private Pool, Close to the Beach. Perfect for family gatherings, the open floor plan includes a great room with vaulted ceilings, big screen TV, and home stereo system, plus a well equipped kitchen with granite counters, center island with 2nd sink, new appliances, and a huge family-style dining table. French doors from the kitchen open onto a wonderful covered deck where you can sit or rock and enjoy the scenery and fresh ocean breeze. Our beautiful 5 bedroom home can comfortably sleep up to 12. Along with the Great Room and Kitchen, the main floor also has two master bedrooms with private baths, a bunk room, a half bath, and the full size HE washer and dryer. The second floor has two bedrooms, another full bath, plus a loft (with sleeper sofa) overlooking the great room. The new, eight-foot by 18-foot, in-ground, swimming pool has a fully-furnished covered patio with lots of comfy seating and room for outdoor dining, plus a large gas grill. Another refrigerator, microwave, and a TV are conveniently located near the pool, as well as a semi-private outdoor shower room with both hot and cold water. We have room for covered, garage parking of 2-3 vehicles (depending on size), with space for at least one more in the driveway. Located one block to beach, one block to grocery store, walking distance to Tybee Pier and Pavillion, lots of great restaurants, and shopping.

This is a nice, big house that accommodated our multi-family stay. There was a little confusion with the property managers about how we were supposed to park, but once we got that figured out all went smoothly. The house has a nice, small pool, is an easy block from the beach, and is conveniently close to the market. We had a great week and would come back.

The house was wonderful. The house & kitchen were well appointed & it was a great location. Close to the beach, grocery store, restaurants & shops.
We did have an issue with the internet all week, but the rental company worked with us to find options in order to take care of work & school needs.

Family Trip
- Good location to the beach BUT the pictures are VERY deceiving. The house is located on a VERY busy and noisy road.
- Communication could have been much improved on what the house has for guests. The property manager had us almost renting beach equipment for the entire week. Thank goodness we waited as the house had plenty of umbrellas and chair, wagon, etc. We did rent a pack and play and when we arrived the house had own. I asked the property manager about these accommodations and they were completely inaccurate.
- A beach house should accommodate and have beach towels
- MINIMAL kitchen supplies. You should have at least the basics of salt and pepper.
- Bathrooms and Bedrooms we’re comfortable with plenty of space
- Easy check in and check out
- Garage needs cleaning out of damaged beach chairs, equipment. Could be dangerous area for kids
- Lots of pool work for those staying at the house. Having to fill the pool, etc.

Great reunion!
We have a group of friends that get together every 2 years. We all thought this was our best one. The rental was great. Location was excellent. Really enjoyed having the pool. Plenty of room and privacy. Would recommend to others.

Tybee Thanksgiving
We just returned from our amazing Thanksgiving retreat to Tybee. This trip was extra special for our family because both our mom and dad have late stage cancer. We arranged this trip so that we could all get away together for some happy memories. It was a success and so very special! My only complaint which isn’t really a complaint, more something that we meant to mention to management. There were so many thoughtful details! However, one of the beds was broken on the first floor and so was uncomfortable to sleep on, the wagon for the beach had a flat tire, the coffee pot didn’t work (Thank God there was a backup!!), and the grill was out of gas. If it hadn’t been a holiday some of that could have been easily resolved by us. Anyway, all in all, the home was beautiful, definitely accommodated all of our large family, was literally a 5 min walk to the beach and provided the back drop for some priceless memories with cherished members of our family. Thank you so much!

Great trip
Tranquility house was a great house for our girl's trip. We just wanted time to relax and enjoy one another's company. The house suited our purpose perfectly. The house was very clean upon arrival. 1 block walk to the boardwalk to the ocean. The pool is small but was perfect for the 6 of us. Kitchen is very well stocked. The only thing we couldn't find was a blender. We walked to restaurants for dinner several nights. The beach was not crowded at all. The house had plenty of bath towels, etc. Hot water was plentiful when showering and great water pressure in the showers as well. We had a wonderful trip. Thank you to the owners of Tranquility House.

Pandemic Vacation
Overall our experience was very good. The great room area (LR, DR & kitchen) is conducive to everyone being together and yet the bedrooms are tucked away for privacy. Our group had 7 adults & 2 small children so the pool was a bit small & shallow for our liking but nicely secluded from neighbors. Quick walk to the beach which was not crowded. Tons of beach/pool accessories available (including beach towels). On the downside, there are multiple bicycles in the garage which we were planning to use but they were locked up & when we called the office we were told that the owners don't want to carry liability insurance for them & so they couldn't be used. These bikes should be removed from the garage and from the online listing pix. Also, instead of dining out due to Covid concerns we chose to get carry out or cook in. When we opened the outdoor grill it was caked with grease and food. It then took an hour to clean it before we could use it - yuk! Those issues aside, our stay was wonderful & relaxing.

A perfect family vacation!
I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to stay at a vrbo home that doesn’t have these amenities. Anything you need to entertain 3 kids was there! They loved taking a wagon ride to lunch or dinner, just a few blocks away. The beach carts were easy to load up and take everything in one haul. Unfortunately the beach canopy only had three working legs when we arrived but upon learning this the owner had all intentions of replacing it. We set up the provided crib and comfy crib mattress and high chair for our almost 2 year old in about 10 minutes and it was so nice to not have to travel with any of it. Excellent clean home with plenty of beds and bedrooms! We thought the pool might be small but honestly with 6 adults and 3 kids it was just right. And so nice not to have to pack pool and beach towels!

We just got home from our stay at tranquility house and it couldnt have been better!!! We had 17 people. 11 adults and 6 kids. The house has so much baby equipment and we used all of it! the wagons and beach supplies were all so helpful! The beach is a short walk, and the pier and grocery store were all walking distance. The house was huge and very clean. We spent alot of time on the balcony and by the pool. The detail the owners put into this property is incredible. We will definitely be back!

Girls Weekend
The house had everything we could have needed for the long weekend. They were fully equipped for the beach with plenty of gear for a large group. It was a short walk to the beach but they had large carts built for the sand which made it easy The rental staff was great and the owners were incredibly helpful! Great place for a family vacation with all amenities needed and a fantastic location
Our family of 10 - including 2 children under 4 - had a fantastic time here. We’ve never had a place so well equipped! Lots of beach equipment, bikes, pool toys and rainy-day things (that fortunately we didn’t really need.). The location is perfect - a short stroll to a beautiful and clean beach, and a convenient IGA nearby. Sue and Jay were great hosts. The place was immaculate when we arrived. The furniture and linens in top shape. Fully equipped kitchen. We hope to be back!

Wonderful stay!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Tranquility House last week. The house was very clean and seems to have been recently updated. It seems Sue and her family really thought of every detail when preparing the house for guests- all beach equipment was provided and everything was organized well. It was icing on the cake that baby gear was also included since we were travelling with a young child. The house was on a busier road but the fact that the main living quarters and front porch are elevated above street level makes it feel more secluded. The beach was an easy 1 block walk away which we did multiple times per day. I would highly recommend this vacation home!

Beautiful and well maintained. Perfect for a family
My family and I stayed at this house in early October. The house was a perfect place to host a getaway. On top of that, the owners were such a joy to deal with. The one note I'd say for future renters is that there are a lot of rules...Personally I appreciate them because it shows that they put great care into maintaining the house not just for you but for future guests too. The pool was sparkling and clean, and a great option when the family didn't want to load up and walk to the beach (which is a long block away). They have so many bikes, beach toys, chairs and everything is so well appointed, all you have to do is show up with your luggage. They are also extremely kid friendly (There is a crib, a pack n play, plus beach appropriate strollers) The grocery store and a couple of restaurants are within a very short walk which makes it extremely convenient. (Word of caution, this grocery store has a limited selection so shopping and the bigger grocers before arriving on Tybee would serve you well). I would without a doubt stay at this house whenever my travels take me back to Tybee! Thanks Jay and Sue your house is beautiful!

There were 15 of us and we all slept so comfortably. Sue had everything we could think of needing and was so accommodating if we needed any extra assistance. This is a beautiful house just a block from the beach. We will definitely be coming back!!!!!

Perfect Family Vacation! My family flew from Pa, Wa and Tx. We had such a wonderful time. Sue was so accommodating and helpful. The house was decorated for Christmas and it is just a walk down to the beach, super clean fully stocked with everything we needed.

Weekend at Tybee
We took a weekend trip to Tybee and stayed at Tranquility House. Sue and Jay were so helpful ahead of time and quick to respond to any need we had. The house was spotless and well stocked with anything you would EVER need at the beach. We didn't have to bring any chairs, towels, etc. The house is only a short walk from the beach (at a cross walk) and the pool was nice to have in the backyard. The beds were really comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for making dinner for 9. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, but at the same time there were spaces big enough where we could all sit and be together. Can't recommend this house enough!

Amazing getaway
Spent a nice long weekend at the Tranquility house....wish I was back there! The perfect combination of accommodations and hospitality would be difficult to explain except to say it was perfect. The house has everything you need, the beach is across the street and several restaurants within walking distance. Savanah is a $5 trolley ride away, stops at two island locations. Sue keeps this property beautiful and truly wants your stay to be your personal getaway. The house itself is imaculately clean and well stocked with everything you need. I highly recommend the a Tranquility house for your next getaway, a great place for the southern touch of hospitality.

Beautiful home
Tranquility House is a perfect home for a larger gathering.
Our party of 14 - four adult couples and and six children ranging in age from 1-7yrs of age - found it to be perfect. The home is well laid out and we never felt cramped. This home is extremely well maintained by Sue and Jay with lots of little extras that make your vacation effortless. The kitchen is well appointed for those like us to cook in every meal. The location is quite close to the beach - an easy walk, even with the little ones. For those who are elderly or disabled, be warned that there are lots of stairs! The pool and ample outdoor areas both on the large front porch and next to the pool are an fantastic bonus. We found ourselves relaxing in the pool every evening after a long day on the beach.
Sue is extremely responsive and personable. Overall, I don't think we could have had a better experience on Tybee and we cannot wait to return.

Chillin' on Tybee Island
I booked our vacation for Tranquility House for our family of 6 and three extended family members; all adults. Sue could not have been more helpful prior to the booking, after reserving the home and during our stay. She responded almost immediately to any email and/or text I sent with the most helpful information whether it be suggestions on Savannah tours, restaurants, or traffic issues. Tranquitlity House is quite lovely. We had ample room for the 8 adults. Everyone's bed was comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The pool is smaller but still plenty of room to splash around and cool down after a day at the beach. Included with the rental are multiple bikes and everything you could possibly want or need for a day at the beach. It was wonderful to be able to load up sand chairs, the big canopy or a small umbrella for shade, a cooler etc. on one of the pull carts and take that to the beach for the day. Tybee Island is a small, lazy scenic island to slow down and enjoy a bike ride, walk on the beach, paddleboarding, or kayaking. It is an easy 30 minute drive into Savannah for sightseeing, shopping or dinner. We would not hesitate to stay at Tranquility House again and give it our highest recommendation especially considering the added bonus of such a great owner/host!

Extraordinary home - and Hosts!
We booked our first family (of 16) vacation with Sue and Jay at the Tranquility House and WOW - it was fantastic! Everything was perfect, down to the super comfy bedding, plentiful linens, and well equipped kitchen. Our grandkids really loved the on site pool and we loved being able to lounge and enjoy watching them have a blast.
The walk to the beach was great and only one short block away. We spent alot of time there. Our only regret is that we didn't look through all of the beach chairs, coolers, etc that were available to us earlier in the week. We found that there was EVERYTHING you could ever wish for and then some but this was on Thursday and we were leaving on Saturday. That was our own fault because Sue did an outstanding job of listing everthing on the website.
My kids kept saying "Wow, they thought of everything!" I'm sure our next beach vacation, we'll be in touch with Sue and Jay to book this wonderful, amazing, beautiful home of theirs once again!

Great family vacation home!!
We just came home from our stay at the Tranquility House on Tybee Island. All I can say is.....WOW! This was my side of the families first time going on vacation together and this house was perfect! The kids loved the pool and the beach is a short walk away! The house was very clean and the owners, Sue and Jay actually made a point to personally meet us! There is plenty to do within walking distance of the house and some great places to eat both in Tybee and in Savannah! We want to thank Sue and Jay for opening their home for such a great vacation for our family and we would recommend this house to anyone!!!

Tranquility House: Our Family Beach Week Destination for the Past 4 Years
Four years ago, after selling a townhouse in a mountain resort community in western North Carolina,
we were approached by our grown daughters with a desire to establish a family beach week each summer. They wanted to go to a laid back family beach with limited commercial development,within 5 hours driving distance from Atlanta, a place that would accommodate our grandchildren, ages 1-12 at the time, and they wanted us to find a large house where we could all have private space with sufficient bathrooms, but they especially wanted large common spaces where we could cook, eat, play games and watch movies. Because we had two toddlers, they wanted it to be no more than a block from the beach. Given that wish list, we all began using our online skills to find likely candidates.
When we came to Tranquility House, our hearts stopped and so did our search! It was everything we were looking for and more. It has a lovely lap pool, perfect for children of all ages-- and their grandparents. It is beautifully furnished and perfectly maintained by owners Jay and Sue, who are warm and hospitable hosts as well as meticulous landlords. Other than groceries and sunscreen, almost anything you could possibly need to have an unforgettable beach week is provided, including a closet full of board games, a bookcase filled with movies for young children, a beach cart and canopy, along with beach chairs, toys and bicycles.
The evaluation forms guests complete at the end of a stay asks for items which would make their stay more comfortable and items which need to be repaired or replaced. Having made 3 requests last year, for a large electric buffet pan, separate trash and recycle bins for the kitchen, and new towels, we were delighted to find these items had been purchased this year. Keep in mind that we only made these requests at the end of our third year--not a bad record.
The cleaning crew for Tranquility House does a superb job of keeping the house in tip-top condition. Our daughters remarked on entering last week how clean everything looked and smelled. Kudos to this crew!
Everything including the grocery store is within walking distance, and though we have toured Ft. Pulaski and taken in a movie or two in Savannah, we are there to enjoy the beach, and prepare almost all our meals. We do enjoy Sundae Cafe and the younger set enjoys Sting Ray's. The fireworks show was the best. Teens enjoy walking to get ice cream at shops along the front. We hope to return many more years
