About this villa rental
From a family summer home to an American film set!
The Limoneto di Lulù offers its guests a lovely open space in a modernized eighteenth-century building, equipped with a charming lemon garden of 1200 square meters with a panoramic view of the town of Minori and the Mediterranean sea. The interiors are furnished with artistic Vietri majolica floors, and are equipped with all the necessary comforts for a relaxing stay.
Our beloved garden hosts the timeless calm, the authentic scents and the magic of the Amalfi Coast thanks to its renowned lemons (certified Sfusato Amalfitano PGI), cultivated with love and dedication by our family for 20 years. Sitting and relaxing in the garden, pampered by the silence of nature and the suggestive panorama, will be for our guests a pure and authentic way to fully enjoy their Amalfi experience.
In March 2019 we dealt with a group of "special" guests, welcoming an entire film crew who chose the Limoneto as the set in which to set the film "In Keaton's lemon garden". This ambitious project, centered on a tormented love story between two different cultures lived in the shadow of our lemons, will be nominated for 2 of the most important independent overseas festivals!
The Limoneto di Lulù is located a few minutes' walk from the characteristic beaches and alleys of the town, teeming with shops and restaurants with gourmet proposals. Minori is a strategic choice for a stay on the Amalfi Coast: it is in its center and retains the charm of authenticity not contaminated by tourist overcrowding. Small and picturesque, it is also renowned as "City of Taste" for the excellence of its restaurants and local gastronomic proposals.
Il Limoneto can be reached on foot in a few minutes from the town center. On the promenade of Minori there is the main bus stop and the port from which ferries leave: our guests can explore the entire coast by land and by sea! Public transport is also well connected with Sorrento, Salerno, Naples and Pompeii: you are spoiled for choice.
The entrance road to the Limoneto is located at a stop of the local panoramic bus / shuttle that runs throughout the day.
The guests will be welcomed directly by me and my family in person: we will take care of introducing them to the magic and history of our centuries-old lemon grove. We highly appreciate the curiosity of those who want to discover the best of this timeless place: this is why our guests will have full assistance during their stay for any question. It will be my concern to provide advice on itineraries, restaurants and unmissable destinations: the Amalfi Coast will no longer have secrets!

This little slice of heaven is beautiful! It is even more special because of the host family. Mario greeted us and gave us a little history of the lemon grove, the town, his family and the home. It was such a pleasant experience. We really enjoyed speaking with him.He was also very patient and kind as we were much later arriving then we had hoped. And when we arrived he was waiting for us with a little welcome gift as well.
The home is adorable and the grounds are so very special.
Be aware it is a steep walk to and from the town center with many stairs. It is very much worth it but could be a little too difficult if you have walking challenges.
I would stay here again, we didnt want to leave. My entire family agrees that among our stays on this vacation including Rome, Minori, Capri, and Amsterdam this is by far our favorite. Thank you so much Mario and family! We could not have had a nicer time! You have a slice of heaven there and we hope to return again!

Mario and his family were so generous and welcoming. We truly felt that they had our best interest at heart. The property is incredible, filled with peace and tranquility. We cannot recommend this place enough.

We came to the Limoneto to finish off our 16 day honeymoon and after 11 days of running around cities like Paris, Lyon and Florence, we felt a breath of fresh air arriving to Minori. Mario was an excellent commuincator and his dad Franco helped us with oir bags up the steps where Mea was waiting to give us a tour of the property with fresh authentic pastries and homemade limoncello and cold water. We worked up quite a sweat climbing up to the property with our luggage, but it was worth every single step. When you step onto the terrace into the Limoneto, the aroma of the lemon trees, the Mediterranean sea and all the flowers surround you and an incredible view of the sea emerges. It felt lke a dream every morning and we had to pinch oursleves waking up to that. We not onlt celebrated our honeymoon but also a birthday while we were here and it was so memorable and special, we wish we could teleport back. We finally felt like we were on vacation, sitting on that terrace having slow mornings, listening to the ocean, drinking lemon water and espresso (which Mea had pre ground the beans for us, she also went out amd got some jams and pastries for us for the mornings and some pantry basics including pasta of course to give us a base if we wanted to cook at all). Space was perfect size for us and it was so charming. The tiles and orginal arch ceilings were beautiful. PLUS the air conditioning saved our lives, it worked very well.

Our stay in Limonetto was wonderful! Mario maintained open and clear communication before, during and until we left to ensure everything went well. When we arrived we were greeted by Mario's welcoming and hospitable family. They helped with carrying our luggage up the stairs, showing us around the apartment and sharing their delicious homemade lemon salad, limoncello and local pastries - all delicious! The lemon grove and the view to the Mediterranean sea was truly magical and relaxing; we spent memorable moments sitting under the lemon trees drinking coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The walk to town is about 7 mins and we were able to enjoy the local food and atmosphere. Please be aware that you will be staying on a mountain and so there is a lot of walking and stairs to get to and from Limonetto however, we drove. If driving, be aware that the roads are windy, narrrow, with people walking on the roads, cars parked on both sides, and parking is limited. Regardless, Mario helped in securing a parking space for our stay near the Limonetto which was very convenient. Mario made sure we were well cared for during our time there. Limonetto and its hosts made our overall stay in Minori a spectacular one. Grazie mille to Mario and his family in helping us build long lasting and beautiful memories!

Such a lovely stay. The family was wonderful and shared information on the local area and they surprised us with wonderful desserts. We felt spoiled. The patio was such a delight as well. One caution for those that may not be in a position to climb stairs, this home would require steps which is often the case in this region but nonetheless worth mentioning. I would HIGHLY recommend this home. My 13 year old daughter is still sharing stories of the fun we had staying in this home.

The owners are very thoughtful and go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. Absolutely recommended and we will stay again. The only downside is lots of steps. Exercise is good!

My friend & I had such a lovely stay in Mario’s Limoneto home. The home was cute, clean, and comfortable. We were greeted by Mario’s sweet parents upon arrival. Mario’s dad was so kind & insisted on carrying our suitcases up the stairs to the home. Mario’s mom provided us fresh lemonade from the lemon trees of her garden. She also provided us with homemade lemoncello which was absolutely delicious. The best lemoncello we’ve had! Mario’s mom was just the cutest in being so proud of her garden & lemon trees as she gave us a tour of the backyard. The outdoor space was absolutely adorable & picturesque with all the lemon trees. There was also a view of the water & the cutest small church up on the top of the hill. Mario & his parents were also so very sweet to provide us with pastries upon arrival and during our mid week stay. The pastries were so delicious!
Mario was very helpful, easy to communicate with, and was quick to answer any questions we had. He provided us with awesome restaurant & transportation recommendations.
Minori was just the cutest quaint town that we absolutely loved! We always were so glad to come back home to Minori after spending day trips to the more touristy busy crowded towns nearby. We loved the quietness of the town which was very relaxing to end the day. We also loved that the famous bakery Sal di Riso was in Minori and found ourselves grabbing pastries there daily. We highly recommend Mario’s Limoneto home & would definitely stay there again!

Thank you to Mario and his family for sharing with us their beautiful place. The Limoneto di Lulu was the perfect stay on the Amalfi Coast, away from the crowds. We enjoyed the great view of the sea, the charming lemon garden, the short walk to the beach and the great hospitality of the hosts. At our arrival, we were greeted by Mario's parents with local pastries and Limoncello and immediately felt like part of the family! They helped us with the car parking and provided recommendation for restaurants and places to see. We had a great time and are looking forward to come again soon. Grazie Mille!

My signifcant other and I had a great stay at Limoneto di Lulu. The view and garden are truly breath-taking-- even better than in photos. The apartment itself is cozy and well-suited for a couple or perhaps family of 3, and the outdoor space is large and perfect for meals and just hanging out with a glass of wine.
The town of Minori is quaint and easy to navigate, and a welcome break from the craziness of surrounding areas. It's worth it to visit the other (bigger) beach towns, but plan ahead for semi unreliable bus schedules, and grab a few groceries on your way up to the cottage for lazy mornings or snacks as the trek down is about 15 minutes round trip up hills/stairs. Totally manageable, but just a note.
Upon Mario's suggestion, we took the ferry in from Salerno, which was straightforward and easy, as was check-in due to Mario's very specific instructions. Mario and his family are very hospitable and willing to help at a moment's notice, including carrying my heavy suitcase up the 70+ stairs to the apartment- very grateful 😊. He also had plenty of recommendations, and booked us a reservation at the nearby Torre Normanna, which had incredible sea views. Overall, was very sad to leave our little terrace garden and grateful to the Santonicola's for the experience.

We are so glad we chose to stay at Mario's family home. It is a perfectly sized apartment for two people, with thousands of fragrant lemons in the backyard. Mario was very responsive and extremely helpful when we had any questions, and he left us a detailed guide with restaurant recommendations and transportation notes. His family gave us a very warm welcome upon our arrival, and his mother even left us some treats to enjoy during our stay. These are very kind, welcoming people, and they take very good care of their home.
We enjoyed Minori the most out of all the towns we visited along the coast. It is much more quiet than Positano, Amalfi, or Capri, and it was an easy walk (with some stairs!) to the neighbouring community of Maiori. Though it rained during the length of our visit, it was still breathtakingly beautiful and most outdoor activities were still enjoyable with an umbrella.
If you have mobility concerns, you should be aware that there are lots of stairs leading up to the property. We were definitely in better shape after staying here for a few days!
Thank you Mario (and especially his family!) for opening up your home and making our vacation so special. We hope to come back at some point in the future!

We had a pleasant stay in Minori, a nice home base for a few days on the Amalfi Coast. There is a fantastic hike up to Ravello and it is a fairly quick trip by car, bus, or ferry to Positano. Check in and out were easy and it was a quiet, clean and convenient place to stay!

We had a wonderful 3 day stay in Minori. The property is a short walk from main beach and town. We also hiked up to Ravello using the path that runs right by the property. The property is very clean and well equipped. The best feature is the patio under the lemon trees that look out over the ocean. We had a couple of breakfasts and even a nice dinner on the patio. We will be back to vist Mario, Mea and Franco again. We can highly recommend this rental property.

Charming, lovely hosts and apartment
We enjoyed our stay at Limoneto!! Mario, Mea and Franco are such wonderful hosts who do anything they can to make you feel at home. Franco greeted us and helped us with our bags. Mea was waiting with fresh squeezed lemonade when we arrived! Mario was also incredibly helpful with recommendations and great advise of what to see along the Amalfi coast.
The apartment is quaint and has everything you need. And the lemon grove terrace is like a little piece of heaven.
Minori is a great place to base yourself from on the Amalfi coast with easy access to buses, ferries and walks to all the main spots. The restaurants are great and the town is not overrun with tourists so it’s a relaxing getaway.
We cannot recommend this spot enough.

A beautiful place to stay
We had a wonderful time. The Flat is beautiful and clean. In the little kitchen you‘ll find everything you need to cook if you don‘t want to go out for dinner. The inly thing we missed would be a little cutting board. The Lemongarden is a great place to spend some time, read a book or just enjoy the beautiful view.
Mario and his parents are very nice and welcoming. They will make you feel comforable. They even picked us up at the bus stop.
Also Minori is a pretty little town, with a nice seafront and a few restaurants/ bistros to choose from. Not as touristic as Amalfi and nearer to Salerno where you can take the train. You will have to get used to walking some stairs in Minori because the city is located on a slope. We loved it there! If you consider spending some time at the Limoneto - do it! :)

A beautiful apartment surrounded by lemon trees
We really enjoyed our stay in Limoneto di Lulu. It's a beautiful property in the heart of Amalfi Coast, only 10 min drive from Amalfi. The lemon garden is simply stunning, with beautiful views of the sea below. We loved sitting and eating outside. Mario and his family are gracious hosts. They spoiled us with homemade lemonade, fresh tomatoes from their garden, and delicious pastries for breakfast. You can see that they love their beautiful property and want to share the wonders of the Amalfi Coast with their visitors. They made us feel very welcomed.
Parking on the Amalfi Coast is difficult and expensive, so the designated parking available to us ( at extra cost) was very convenient. If we ever go back to the Amalfi Coast, we would love to stay in the Limoneto again.

Lovely apartment on Minori hillside
This was a lovely little apartment perched on the hillside of Minori. It was very clean and comfortable, and the terrace in the lemon grove, which had an sea view, was lovely and relaxing. Mario and his family were extremely helpful and welcoming, and their love for this property was obvious. Their suggestions for restaurants were great.
Potential guests should be aware that there are quite a few steps up to the property. If someone has mobility issues, it would be difficult for them to get to it.

Magic Among the Lemons
We had a wonderful 3 night stay in Minori, enjoying the beauty of the Amalfi Coast and the wonders of Pompeii. The hosts were so kind and gracious. They truly love and are justly so proud of this property overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean. It was lovely sharing the lemon orchard with the guests from Mumbai who were staying in their other next door apartment. And Linda, the person who oversees their parking is A-mazing -- kind, helpful and very funny.

How often do you get to stay in a lemon garden
Fantastic spot to relax, to contemplate, maybe even meditate. It is a real working lemon garden that has a large patio with a sea view underneath the fruit trees. The apartment has been tastefully renovated and is tidy. Mario, whom we did not meet, and his wonderful parents, whom we met several times, did everything they could to make things work and make us feel welcome. An unforgettable experience.
