Our two families (totaling 4 parents and 4 adult children) stayed at the villa for a week over Christmas. The Villa is beautiful, big, clean, with first-rate accoutrements. The view is stunning. The dining areas accommodated all of us whether inside or outside. The people who attend to the Villa -- the concierge, the security guard, the cleaners, and the chefs, were all extremely accommodating, friendly, and helpful. We loved the villa and would be thrilled to have the opportunity to return. Many thanks to Christine for all her help in providing us with such a wonderful vacation.

We had a great time at Sylvie’s property, the staff was amazing and always around in case something was needed. Michael was very nice and making sure we ware confortable. Looking forward to our next stay. Thank you Sylvie for eveything.

Arriving to the property was extremely difficult! We were left without gas, water and electricity! When I contacted the the host they advised that they would try and fix the issues . Because the doors are electric everyone who was in there room were locked in for 45 and couldn’t get out. No AC due to no electricity and it was about 90 degrees. We could not shower or brush our teeth . When there was electricity the door would open and close all night . When I contacted the host he advised that I should let the security guard know who was asleep every time we needed him

Overall the villa is AMAZING. The staff around are very nice and respectful. Only little mishap was the day of arrival villa was not ready until 5, but after that everything else went great! I would definitely stay there again as it truly feels like you are in the middle of paradise!

My experience at La Villa was amazing, everything went super smooth. My family and I stayed from Feb 18-21st. Owner, and all the workers were extremely nice and people. We had dinner made on two occasions and the food was great, ordering was super easy. Pierre knows the city super well and he helped us find 4 wheelers, order take out, anything we needed he was there to facilitate. Owner went by the house every day to make sure everything was running smoothly, he was very nice. House is very modern, with big bathrooms in every room. Decoration is beautiful, I wish I had stayed longer so I could enjoy the house more, I used the hot tub in my bedroom every night and it was amazing, there was always hot water available. I can’t wait to be back to La Villa, I highly recommend for a big group that is planning to travel to Las Terrenas, it is a very beautiful, quiet neighborhood with quick easy access to everything.

Where do I start?...Online the house looks great and it is great, style wise very modern. The problems start with all the equipment. The refrigerator is a health hazard, rusty, stuck together with duct tape and mold in various forms. The oven is difficult to use as all the writing has rubbed off on it. The Nespresso coffee machine didn't work, taken away, but never returned. The kitchen sinks didn't have any plugs, or a washing up bowl, so we had to wash up in a large saucepan. The kitchen units had seen better days. One bathroom shower was hanging off the wall, another bathroom had a cracked sink and was leaking onto the floor. some bedroom lights, even though switched off, continually flickered on and off all night. The couch in the lounge was so stained and smelly, so unpleasant. A big problem was the back up generator which was situated under the house where the bedrooms were came on in the middle of the night and kept waking us up as it was so loud. If you are in the bedroom below the swimming pool, the overflow from the pool is draining and sound like running water in the bedroom which was troublesome for our guests to sleep. Another big problem is You Get Charged for Air Conditioning, but we were unaware at time of booking that there are windows in every room that don't have glass in them only bug netting, so basically you are air conditioning the outside!!!! The house is for Sale so I cannot see the owner wishing to address some of the problems....Take plenty of bug spray we have never been bitten so much as the back of the house house is like a tropical rainforest. Couldn't sit outside after sunset approx 6.30pm because of the bugs, which was a shame because the outside area is very pleasant. The house is NOT in walking distance to the beach. Make sure you take plenty of cash with you for your stay as very few places take credit cards. Including restaurants and gas stations.....One very strong plus side, the staff were faultless, although they don't speak English, they went to the extreme to please.

Great place, super large and luxury. You can have both worlds forest and ocean views. Everything is close by but if you don't want to leave the property their are workers that can go to the stores for you. The most butifull views and place in Las Terrenas.

From the moment we checked in we had Pierre our consierge waiting to greet us. The home is beautiful, the view is beautiful. Janet the cleaning lady does a wonderful job. The owner came by to greet us which was nice. I have to say out other villas I have stayed at this exceeds all of them. Only wish we were closer to the beach but will definitely return. Thank you Alain for sharing your home with us.

Our stay was more than perfect. The house is impecable and the host is very helpful with your needs all the time. Definitely recommend the stay.

My best friends, our husbands and our children gathered to spend quality time and to experience the raw and adventurous terrains of Las Terrenas. La Villa was the perfect place and the smiles on our teenagers and younger children faces was proof of the amazing time we had. From lounging by the pool and enjoying a BBQ, to ziplining through the woods, or enjoying the panoramic views on the beach, each day was perfect. The House was beautiful and nicely accomodated for all eleven of us. Pierre the concierge was attentive and available when ever we needed him. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner by Chef Vargas and his staff, who prepared us delicious meals made with love and lots of pride. Janet came every day to clean and was extremely pleasant. As we boarded our plane to go back home, we discussed next year adventure and hope that the next place we stay is as incredible as La Villa. Thank you for your amazing hospitality. ♡☆♡☆♡

The Villa is beautiful as well as the view. Much better than the pictures. With my family and friends we toured the Dominican Republic for a month, We rendez several villas, this is the best villa we rented, with the best service prorated by the price, The owners Natacha and Alain were very good advice, The staff very helpful and available. As well as Pierre the concierge he guided us to the best places. The villa is very clean and functional and the cleaning staff are very discreet. I will definitely come back.

Great experience & perhaps the best said an example for what a Home Stay is all about. We stayed here for 2 night 3 days. It was a guys trip aimed at relaxation. Very neatly maintained property & most courteous people I have come across in the near past. The chirping sound of birds was a welcome way to greet mornings during vacations. Awesome food!!! Will have to mention that team are exceptional.Three cheers to the entire team. thank you

Myself and 10 other woman came on a trip together. We had an amazing time. The hospitality shown to us was more than five stars. The staff were amazing and friendly. We felt safe every night. Alain, was amazing, fast responding and treated us like family. I will return back one day to stay again. The house is everything you see in the pictures and more. Job well done!

The house was beautiful and as pictured but there were MANY issues experienced throughout our stay and I am not sure how they have not come up in previous reviews. 1) Multiple of the bathrooms (including master) had barely any water pressure. We were 9 girls and could barely wash our hair. The bath in the master took well over an hour to fill up. 2) The huge bath in the side house only came out COLD water. 3) The concierge burst into our house in the middle of the night after some of us had just taken a bath - luckily we had just put on our clothes. Apparently he was checking since the water was running so long (yes because there was NO a water pressure). It was COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE and downright scary for a random MAN to come in a house with 9 girls in the middle of the night. 4) No privacy in general with the staff. The security guard should be watching outside the house but instead was focused on looking at the girls in the pool until one of us said something. Maid literally took the entire day (at least 8 hours) to clean when we were having a pool day at the house. 5) House was not well stocked. There was no extra toilet paper anywhere in the house we had to continue asking for it throughout our stay. No kitchen basics such as salt / pepper / oil. 6) Worst of all when we told the owner about all of the issues above he seriously just shrugged and walked away. Did NOTHING to address them, fix the water pressure, water temperature, talk to his staff etc. 7) The last day out of no where the gas on one of the stoves started going off (continuous clicking noise and we could smell gas). Alain did NOTHING to help us, didn’t even come up to the house. Pierre was nowhere to be found (all of a sudden when we need him). We were frightened - gas going off in the house is scary !!! The security guard was trying to help but did not know how to fix it. Finally after over an hour Pierre showed up to turn off the gas at the tap. Overall we still did have an amazing trip, the house is beautiful and spacious with gorgeous views. Chef Daniel cooked us a nice meal (note if you want specific items you need to notify him a day in advance). We loved the outdoor areas and spent lots of time lounging by the pool. But, there were so many issues and it was really appalling that Alain the owner did nothing to address them. The house has many “for sale” signs up so maybe he just doesn’t care anymore.

I just returned from a 5 night stay at this beautiful property. We absolutely loved this property. We used the chef Daniel’s services on the day we arrived for lunch and breakfast the next morning. We were a group of 4 & we definitely felt that it was overpriced for the groceries. We gave him $80(4,024 pesos) for groceries which in DR is a lot. Daniel said he would provide us a receipt and he did he spent $3200 pesos on “food & ingredients” to cook and he said the remaining $800 would be used on salami & cheese that he didn’t get a chance to get while shopping. (FYI we went to the same supermarket 2days later & spent $300 pesos on the same salami & cheese. On top of the fact he “bought expensive” groceries he actually had the nerve & took the ingredients back with him & didn’t leave it in our kitchen. For example we needed oil & we couldn’t find it in the house. I had to call Pierre & he didn't bring it back until we insisted that we needed it since they bought it with OUR money. He literally told me I didn’t need the oil since there was a pan of used oil in the oven from the previous day he made us breakfast. Although I initially thought having a chef for a $100 was a great bargain, nowhere did it state we would have to buy our own groceries as well fight to keep them after we’ve paid. We literally paid $180 for a lunch and breakfast for 4 people. And didn’t have anything left over in the fridge. That’s pretty ridiculous if you ask me. The lady that cleaned the villa was very great. She was very nice & personable & always made sure the villa was tidy before we came back. The younger boy Michael was also helpful whenever we needed a quick errand done he was always available. He made sure our pool was cleans along with the grounds. Aside from the little mishaps we enjoyed our stay in this villa, Pierre the concierge we met him & then barely ever even saw him. Unfortunately he was injured with his leg. I was expecting having a concierge in our villa he would be checking in on us every day asking if there is any tours or information we needed for the day. That didn’t happen. In fact the only time he came voluntarily was to finally check on us until check out just so he can make sure we didn't break anything. if you are considering booking this villa I recommend renting a car. This villa isn’t close to anything & taxis charge $30 each way. Also buy your own grocery prior to arrival. That way if you want a chef you can just pay the service.

Had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property over our Thanksgiving holiday. The owner, Alain, is wonderful and very accommodating. Our flight home wasn’t until 8pm and check out is at 11am. He called me to tell me that we can check out anytime. I thought that was so kind and generous of him to offer. We really weren’t sure what we were going to do for all of those hours. Pierre is their 24 hour concierge. He’s so friendly and helpful. Janet comes each day to wash dishes and clean rooms. There are also others who come to the house each day, to fix landscaping and clean the pool and various other things. Overall, this was a great pick. Alain is also very responsive. Any questions or concerns I had before arriving, he answered very promptly.
