You'll have a wonderful time at the beach staying in this beautiful two bedroom unit. NEW FLOORING AND LIVING ROOM FURNITURE. This condo has a queen bed, one double and one twin. This unit has many repeat customers; the price is right, the view fantastic, and the unit cozy. The bathrooms are fresh and modern, with walk in showers in both. Reservations include linens and towels with freshly made beds. Unit rents Saturday to Saturday. Located in Building B. NO PETS ALLOWED.

Cozy two bedroom condo for a quick night away.

Views from this unit are amazing! Could have sat on the balcony every day. Unit was nice but very dated. Unit was clean and had good selection of cookware. Summer Winds as a whole needs some updating. Buildings look very shaky with metal support poles on the outer balconies. Thankfully that wasn’t on our unit!

Mixed bag. The resort was awesome. Staff was great. Unit was a huge disappointment. No water when we arrived. Kitchen was very poorly stocked. There were 4 dinner knives available. Bathroom are small and no place to hang up wet towels. No hooks anywhere to hang beach towels, keys, hats etc. The couches were new and fine but beds were not comfortable. Especially in the second bedroom. The old dining room furniture is not beach friendly. Did not want to sit on embroidered chairs with wet bathing suits. We have stayed in over 30 beach condos and resorts. This resort rates high but unfortunately not the unit.

Had a great time overall. Great views of the beach and directly over the pool. Short walk to both. Kitchen could use more (and better) pots/pans/bowls. There are NO knives that cut anything besides butter. There is no space for storing your groceries as the few cabinets are full of junk. Property listed that it slept 6 and listed the couch as a sleeper sofa. There were even sheets provided for it, but there was no sleeper sofa. I emailed the property management day 1 and got a reply that simply said that the owner replaced the sleeper sofa with a new couch and no one had updated the website. Had to use an air mattress.

Very clean upon arrival with an incredible view of the ocean and the pool. Lots of room for my three adult children, one with a friend, and myself to sleep and just hang out. Only a short walk to the trash compactor and other amenities on the property. The Summer Winds staff was friendly and did a great job! We’ll definitely be back!!

The light filters through making it difficult to sleep for people who like the dark. The kitchen needs bowls with lids for leftovers and an Air fryer would be nice. Good vacation
We loved this property overall, the grounds and pools were pristine, but the unit we stayed in needs some attention! The water leaked badly around one of the shower heads, the carpets are worn and need replaced, and 2 kitchen drawers were broken. The TV's in the bedrooms did not have cable access, and the AC was not strong enough to lower the temp in the unit below 72°. In the bedroom on the west side that was in contact with the afternoon sun, the temperature was sweltering, and we had to go purchase fans to be able to sleep. In all, it's a lovely place, beautiful view, and very efficient for what we needed. However, I would hope the owners or property managers will want to give a better experience to their visitors by investing a little money in updates and repairs.

Nice private resort
Summer Winds is a well kept private resort on the beach with plenty of amenities. The location was perfect for having coffee in the morning and watching the water. The kitchen needs updates desperately due to several drawers falling apart but it was well stocked with everything you need to cook. I do feel bad for the owners who trust a cleaning company to clean for them between guests because the place was disgustingly dirty when we arrived. I had to clean the kitchen and the table due to both being sticky and full of debris. We found empty water bottles, left by another group, under the beds and behind living room furniture. These were minor issues to deal with so we would highly recommend friends to stay in this resort, and we look forward to returning in the future!

Great place!

Summer Winds 333
We stayed 6/19-6/26. Finding the realty office to pick up the keys was a little tricky as Google Maps takes you a little off course. The condo was a bit dirty when we arrived. Dust was on table tops, the exhaust fan in the master bath was CAKED with dust and there was dust hanging from the master ceiling. After finding layers of dust by the master boxsprings on the bed frame, I gave up. I did, however, change the furnace filter and clean the vent as best I could. The resort was really nice. The pool was clean, the fitness room was well taken care of, and the beach was great! Shelling is not great in this area, but we took a ferry to Bird Shoals and found a ton of Sand Dollars!

Beautiful view
The view is lovely and the location is great. As others have mentioned the condo could use an upgrade but that was not a surprise as the pictures give clear expectations. I do think the bedding could use an update as the comforters are very thin and the mattresses aren't great. Overall it was a nice stay.

Exactly what we hoped for
This place was perfect for a getaway for our family of 5! The condo is situated SUPER close to the beach access and the pool, with a great view of both. Which is exactly what I wanted. The place was not crowded at all so we could practice social distancing easily. We were so close we didn’t have to pack everything up for the day to hang at the beach- we could easily go back to the condo for lunch and then return as desired. However, taking a foldable wagon to lug chairs, toys for the kids, and a small cooler was a great idea. The decor is a bit outdated but that is something I would totally expect for someone’s second home being rented. You’d never want to put nice stuff in there that other people could ruin. Everything was comfortable and it had everything that we needed- but we made sure to read the information carefully of what you should bring so we knew to bring things like hand soap, etc. Check-in and check-out were super easy. There are a couple things close by (Dollar general, a couple restaurants, etc,) but most restaurants, shopping, and grocery shopping was at least 10-15 minute drive away. It didn’t bother us because we didn’t go out too much but it’s something to keep in mind. The condo grounds and facilities were all very clean and well maintained. The only issue was the water/shower/rinse station on the stairs to the beach and inside the pool fence stopped working or was shut off after the first two days so we had to walk over to the pool area to use the hose they provided every time we needed to rinse the sand off. Mildly inconvenient because there was often a line up of people all trying to use the same hose. The weather was perfect the whole time! Overall this vacation was exactly what I was hoping for and we had a great time! I would definitely recommend!

We loved our stay and vacation. The pools were great, the condo was clean. I found myself wanting to redecorate (living room furniture was comfortable but very old). The kitchen needed some love and re-organizing. It was missing a lot of things I would have expected and we had no place to store our food. Those were just small things though. The space felt larger than most 2 bedrooms condo's, they just needed stools at the counter for the kids to sit while I cooked.

The entire condo is just outdated... between the patio furniture, the living room furniture, the kitchen supplies, everything. The saving grace was the view and location to the beach. While the actual condo was well maintained, the property itself was not. There was bird feces all over the stair handrails, and parts of the steps were falling apart. Considering the amount of the HOA for these condos, I would have thought their would be more care taken to the actual property.

I loved the condo and location. Had horrible customer service when it came to contacting the management company they wouldn't respond all the time and when we called they never answered all the questions the first time. We had to evacuate due to the hurricane and they did not help with advice or information needed to know. We live in Iowa and didnt know if we should leave, how far to get away from the beach, or if we could stay at the condo due to generators. I asked about going somewhere else and a refund because the evacuation became mandatory and they advised me no refund was allowed and I could stay at my own risk.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The unit was very clean and spacious. The view was perfect and we actually enjoyed being away from the larger pool as it was quieter. I wish the kitchen had been more stocked with items. We had to go out and buy a few things like sharp knives and cutting boards. We made do with the rest though. The beds could be a bit more comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!
