****POOL GUIDELINES AND RULES
During winter months when the swimming pool needs to be heated, the water temperature setting is set at 84°F. Our Jacuzzi amenity is set at 100 degrees.
The actual swimming pool water temperature may be or may not be at 84 degrees since this largely depends on the air temperature and wind factors which are not within our control. If a cold front approaches and there is a big drop in the temperature, the water temperature will drop also even though our motor is still set to run at 84 deg. Owner or Agent cannot be held accountable for the water temperature. Owner guarantees that the pool heater is set at 84 degrees for the pool and 100 degrees for Jacuzzi. If on the rare occasion that the air temperature drops below 50 degrees, most pool heaters will shut off due to the strain on the motor to keep it from burning out. There is not anything anyone can do to override this safety feature.

Our family drove down from MN and we were very pleased when we got there. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and the back yard pool area was fun even in the Feb rain. The view is breathtaking. The balcony’s offer a relaxing space to unwind and listen to the lullaby of the ocean. The kids enjoyed the short walk to the beach, the hot tub and having a nice driveway to park the golf carts. Great family friendly amenities We would stay again!

Great Experience, perfect spot!
The property was spotless when we arrived. Access code was given in plenty of time before our arrival. The layout was perfect for our family and friends. 1st level entry with bunks for the teenage boys, and a private bedroom/bath for the "chaperone" adults, plus a pool table and easy access to the swimming pool to keep the teens occupied.
The second level is the heart of the beach house. The kitchen (with labels on the cabinets) was well laid out. Plenty of room to cook, eat, and relax. Great balcony view of Gulf Blvd, and the Gulf itself beyond the public beach access. Speaking of Beach Access, it's simply a walk across the street. On this same level are two bedrooms, a utility room w/sink, outside stairs to the pool area, and a small desk nook.
The top floor has a master bedroom with a king-sized bed, an outside balcony just above the 2nd-floor balcony (same view). Adjacent to the Master is a small closed bedroom; however, the occupants must share the Master Bath or use the 2nd-floor bath, not a biggie.
Overall there is plenty of lighting with TVs and fans in every room. The AC performed very well (downright cold!), just remember to keep the door closed when checking in or out. The humidity can freeze up an air conditioner in no time. We had no issue with the AC as we made sure we had someone man the door as we moved in and out.
We had an incident with a shower door but the property manager stayed on top of it and took care of us. Not too many negatives here. We would have liked some darkening curtains or shades for our late sleepers and a garden hose by the outside shower to wash off our beach gear but those are minor inconveniences. The pool was like bath water, again a minor inconvenience, but what do you expect in the summer heat. Nevertheless, we used it quite a bit as well as the BBQ pit.
We've frequently vacationed in So Padre for the last 30+ years and have rented many beach homes and condos. Aside from one we rented several years ago right on the beach (which was much smaller), this is the best rental experience we've ever had.

We loved the beautiful home. The manager went out of her way to make us comfortable and dealt immediately with a few small requests we had. The kitchen was equipped with anything one might need. All in all, it was perfect for us and our family.

Great location and property for a large gathering!
This house is at a prime location! It is directly across the street from the beach with no blocking houses, so you have direct view. Right in front of property is beach access. Also, the house was clean, had ample room for a large gathering, and nice private pool. The property manager Mattie was very responsive to texts and extremely helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

2. No laundry detergent to wash required load of towels.
3. Bunk bed room outlet below TV sparks. VERY DANGEROUS.
4. Entire house in desperate need of upgraded bed linens. Most are very shabby. Had to purchase and wash sheets for the master and pillows for several family members.
5. Second floor tub would not drain. My husband had to use coat hanger to clear drain before we could use. (The cleaning crew should have discovered this if they had cleaned before we arrived)
6. Lots of ants around the pool area.
7. Burners on gas grill rusted through.
8. Moldy shower curtain in bathroom connected to bunk bed room. (Housekeeping Replaced day after we arrived)
9. Mold and mildew around master bath shower door/wall.

Only thing I would advise owner/manager: I have stayed in multiple Vrbo’s and this was the first house that did not supply an abundance of simple necessities- trash bags, TP, laundry detergent, paper towels, etc. I would expect these items to be stocked for the entire stay- not just a few or none at all. Especially with the price of this rental these things should be provided. Every Vrbo I have stayed in- houses all over the country, have had these amenities furnished for my entire stay. Also- the ice machine in the main kitchen never made more than 10 ice cubes a day. That definitely needs to be fixed. But overall my family enjoyed our time and South Padre in general. It was a great house and destination for our end of summer vacation.

It worked out nicely being we had such a huge range of ages from a infant to teenagers to older adults. NO mats at front/back door and tile floors which were slick. No bath mats in 3 of the baths. They were quickly delivered.
Required to wash towels when departing yet no laundry soap was available.
No dish soap or spray cleaner for daily clean
Only 6 trash bags for our entire week.
Only 6 rolls of toilet paper for 16 for an entire week.
No broom, which was delivered when the mats were.
Very good at communication but we noticed many areas that were negelected when cleaning. We even changed an air filter.
We have stayed at many VRBOs over the last 10 years and this was a great property that seemed a little neglected and lacked that "love" feeling that we are used to getting at our other large gatherings.
We are not being unrealistic, its just hard when you have to run to the store right off the bat to get things that should be available. We always replaced what we used and left much more, this time it was not the same.

The house was perfect for a family vacation. Mattie answered any questions we had and is so professional & nice. Access to the beach was literally across the street and seating on the balcony with the ocean view was perfect. Definitely will stay again!!

The condo was beautiful, clean and so close to the beach. Our multiple families had plenty of room to spend time together or to be able to spread out and take a few hours to just relax on our own.
We loved being able to go to the beach, then come back to the condo, rinse off in the outside shower and then get into the heated pool or hot tub. So amazing and relaxing. Definitely recommend this place. Great for large groups.
