About this house rental
Tarawera Trout Woods is a popular perfectly positioned lakeside holiday house. It is situated on a beautiful part of the lake. This property also features on my 2 Lakes Holiday Rental site if your preference is to deal directly without fees. The magical view facing to Lake Tarawera can be seen from many of the rooms. The North facing deck with the BBQ, is great for social gatherings or enjoying an evening drink.
The lake edge walking track is easily accessible in both directions and the lawn is great for picnics and ball games.
The large jetty can handle multiple boats and the water is well protected from prevailing
South Easterlies, Southerlies and South Westerly winds. Fishing from the jetty can be quite productive when using the right technique.
Tarawera Trout Woods is suitable for two families holidaying together or 4 couples. It is also suitable for corporate team building events.
The 2 bedrooms upstairs are accessible by outside stairs. The lounge room has a wood burning fire for chilly winters and the bedrooms have oil heaters for cold weather. A TV and DVD player are supplied. A landline telephone for local calls only, and ADSL broadband is provided. There is limited mobile phone reception in certain parts of Tarawera.
The stainless steel kitchen is well equipped and has a magnificent view of the lake. The lovely Lockwood signature stained exposed pine is evident throughout the house.

Great location especially having own jetty and easy access to property with boat. Children love wandering down to lake for a swim and kayak. We have spent about 9 Easter’s at Trout Wood.

We stayed for my daughter’s wedding. 9 adults and a baby. Having areas split up, upstairs and downstairs and three bathrooms was very convenient for us. Lovely view over the lake.

Such a great place to stay! We loved every bit. The house was perfect for our family and kids. Having 3 separate bathrooms really gave us our own individual spaces.
Perfect having the jetty out the front that we could see from the house, we had 2 boats tied up there.

This is a first class property. We found it in very clean condition. The instructions provided by the manager were clear and concise. A very well appointed property that has a bit of everything. We had an awesome and relaxing week with great weather.

Master bedroom and lounge of house were great. Not ideal if you have small children and plan to have them in upstairs rooms as this is only accessible by outside stairs.

It is a very specious, cozy and well equipped holiday house with everything you need for an exciting family holiday. It is right at the lakefront, has it's own jetty and kayaks and there are plenty of things to do. We have enjoyed every minute of our stay and would love to come back. Our kids rated it as the best holiday house we have stayed so far at Lake Tarawera.

Excellent lakeside property positioned in a sheltered bay (except from Northerly winds) with good boat jetty, Well set up with seperate bedrooms and bathrooms, ideal for couples or groups, or families with children. Comfortable, with lenty of space to relax with well maintained equipment and facilities and large north facing deck. Top spot.

Had a great stay by the lake. Beautiful views & lovely with the fire going inside. Even had the fire made ready to light for when we arrived.
Only 15 mins from Rotorua so perfect if you plan on doing all the tourist activities.
