About this cottage rental
Cottage on the Lake!!
Northern Bruce Peninsula Short Term Accommodation Class A/B permit #NBP-2021-557
Welcome to our beautifully restored waterfront cottage on scenic Lake Huron. Enjoy a clear view of the crystal blue waters of Warner Bay from the living room, or the huge second story deck. The original cottage was built in the 1970s and we were lucky to purchase it in 2009 from the first owners. In 2018 we made the leap into a full renovation to expand the capacity and make it super family friendly. We tastefully finished the interior with natural wood trim, solid wood doors, and ample natural light. You can relax in the same comfort of a modern home with the upgraded electrical, water filtration system, new plumbing, clean and modern bathrooms, and safety with CO and smoke alarms per modern building codes. This place has the charm of a waterfront cottage, but the peace of mind of a brand new home. On calm days the bay is amazing for canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding and swimming. The shoreline is rocky and does require some attention until you reach the smoother part of the lakebed. It’s shallow for quite a while and the clarity is stunning on calm days. Some type of water shoe or sandal is recommended. Enjoy an open fire by the shore or relax on the deck and listen to the water lapping against the rocks. Tobermory is less than 10 minutes by car and close enough to cycle for those wanting some exercise.
*** Occupancy Limits ***
Due to the Municipal Short-Term Accommodations (STA) bylaw we are limited to a maximum of 10 guests sleeping at the cottage. This limit further states that the 9th and 10th guests must be children aged 12 years or younger. We have beds for 6 adults and 4 children/youth (bunk beds). Therefore we can have up to 6 adults (18 years or older) + 2 youth (under 18yrs) + 2 children (12yrs or under).
We apologize for the complexity of the guest limits, and encourage you to seek more information on the bylaw from the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.

We had a lovely time in a house that met most of our expectations. The location in nature is wonderfully quiet and it's only about a 10-minute drive to the Tobermory harbor. Shopping options are also nearby. Overall, it's a great place for relaxation.
The house is fully furnished, generally clean and spacious. The kitchen was well-equipped and towels were provided. Bed linens were available for an additional fee.
On our first day we were a bit disappointed due to the incomplete cleaning but Clinton made an effort to resolve the situation to our satisfaction. We appreciated that we could reach out to Clinton at any time and always received the necessary support.
We thank Clinton for our time at the Lake Huron Waterfront House in Tobermory.

Our family of 7 includes three generations, all of whom enjoyed our one-week stay very, very much. The house is spacious and clean. It's well-equipped. It's secluded and quiet. The views are terrific. We found the house to be utterly congenial, even rivalling the considerable attractions of the Bruce outdoors.
The owners saw to it that all our needs were accommodated promptly, even out-of-the-ordinary ones occasioned by some wild weather.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and hope to do so someday.

Our family had a very nice stay at Buddy’s Bay! Location was perfect, both close to the water and a short drive away from Tobermory Harbour. A few items were missing upon arrival but the host was very easy to contact and brought the items needed for our stay in a very prompt manner. Would recommend to others and stay again!

Had a wonderful time at this spacious, clean cottage in a sublime location. Hoping to come again! Would recommend owner clarify in listing that cottages need to bring their own linens as well as blankets. Very helpful and responsive owner.

We loved the property. The view was amazing, the property was clean and well-maintained. There is a nice, big fire pit as well for relaxing around the fire in the evening.
Communication with the owners was great. Very responsive and helpful.
The lake house is 10 min from singing sand beach, 5 min from Tobermory downtown and there is a grocery store (Foodland) nearby.
The only thing was that the lawn chairs on the balcony were cracked/broken and one of the guests fell and was hurt. Also, be careful when sitting on the logs around the fire. Don’t lean back as they are not stable.

It was a wonderful opportunity to stay in this charming and friendly home. The owners were very accommodating and quick to respond to our questions, providing helpful tips to enhance our stay. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed, including dishes, silverware, and other cooking essentials. They also had a variety of board games and a great selection of movies.

This is a great home in the most gorgeous setting. It feels like a private beach. The owner responds to everything on time. There was no light on the whole area and we were provided with lanterns and everything we needed.
I didn’t read the contract and sheets and towels are not included but when we got there I called and it was resolved right away. Great place, great service, super clean. Would stay again

Lovely property. Very spacious and relaxing. My visiting brother and sister wanted to see Tobermory and the location of the property is a short drive from the places we wanted to see. And most important of all, the owners responded quickly to our questions.

The house was a perfect place to stay to explore the Bruce Peninsula. Loved the view/water access—we enjoyed our coffee on the shore and paddle boarding and canoeing. The house was very clean and was close to Tobermory. It was great having a large grocery store nearby and we love the little bakery down the road.

Everyone in our group liked this cottage. It’s quite and clean. It has excellent view of the lake from the deck. We all loved the large open kitchen and dining room, especially the wooden table, we ate there, played cards there, had really good time. The location is perfect. Just 11 minutes drive to the two national parks, and 12 minutes to the town center of Tobermory. Will definitely recommend to our friends.

Our family of 5 along with visitors from Europe stayed in this beautiful home. It is large enough that everyone has an abundance of space. The beds were very comfortable and the space was very well maintained and clean!! The addition of the ping pong table and dart board were a welcome surprise. With just a few minutes drive to some of Ontarios most beautiful, scenic hikes and waterways this home has it all!! Thank you

We had a fantastic time during our stay at the property! The place is incredibly spacious, cozy, and beautiful. It's conveniently located close to Tobermory's attractions, which made it easy for us to explore the area. We were impressed to find that the property included all the utilities and cutlery that we needed, which added to our comfort. Another plus is that the cottage is dog-friendly, so our furry baby was able to enjoy the trip with us. Thank you for having us.

The Host was awesome and the booking and checking in process was extremely easy to do. I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful cottage. Great spot away from the busy downtown but close enough to enjoy whenever we wanted. Came for the outdoors and hiking which was wonderful! Waterfront and upper deck were great spots to hangout. Dog friendly which was so great (Captain Lee's & Tobermory Brewery dog friendly patios). Very well equipped kitchen and lots of living space. Would stay again. *learned from a local if coming up to do numerous hikes look into Canada Parks pass as parking does get pricey.

Thanks Clinton for your excellent communication prior to our arrival. We had a wonderful time in Tobermory despite a couple of rainy days. The kitchen was well stocked and the cottage was very clean. The waterfront was as depicted in images - it is shallow quite a ways out so good for our children although water shoes are essential. We appreciated the snorkelling equipment that were left for our use. The main floor was a bit warm in the afternoon but had cooled down by night time to make sleep comfortable. The lower floor was always cool and good for an escape from the heat. One thing to note- we did bring our own linens as requested but didn't realize that also meant duvets/blankets, so bring those as well unless that changes in the future.

Very nice property and a great location in a nutshell. More details: we were two families (a family of four with two teens and a family of three with one teen). The place is super convenient for two families -there are two bathrooms, so each family can have their own. Two rooms with twin/bunk beds are great for kids. One is located on a lower level, so one could have noisy teens there or the opposite - if one have smaller kids who require a quieter setting - this lower level bedroom is ideal. Great family room with movies, games and a ping pong table for a rainy day is awesome. Beautiful balcony with patio furniture and BBQ to enjoy the sun and the lake view. Nice outdoor fireplace with wood benches and lake view. The access to the water is shallow, so it is convenient to launch a canoe or paddleboard. The water is very clean. The bottom is rock, so one would require water shoes to go deeper in the water where they could swim. But this is typical for this area. The house is well equipt with everything one would need to feel comfortable during the stay. We were pleasantly surprised to find a greating card and a couple of local beers to welcome us as returning customers. This was so nice of the owner! We definitely recommend the place and we would definitely come back!

My family and I had a great time staying at the lake house. It was a great place and location to unwind and relax. We really enjoyed the surrounding nature and blue water all around. The house also offered a lot of entertainment and activities for us to do. Clinton was a great host and easy to communicate with. Thanks for everything!

AMAZING Place
This cottage is beautiful and just a few steps from Lake Huron. The balcony has an amazing view of the lake and complete bbq equipments to enjoy the view with great food. All house was sparkly clean, they have a full equipped kitchen with everything a family might need, a large dinning table that fits 8, super comfy sofas on both floors, LOTS of games to entertain both kids and grownups, and a shed fully equipped to enjoy the canoe and lake. Communication was always fast and I can recommend enough it. We will return for sure!!

Plenty of room for 7. Beautiful new “cottage”. Everything you could wish for. Amazing views. Plenty of games, books, magazines for rainy days. And then there is the ping pong table. My 15 old nephew’s new obsession. Truly a great place for a family getaway. Love the sound of the waves at night.
