About this house rental
This brand new 5 bedroom + loft custom built home is a true luxury rental. The home is 5000+ square feet with hardwood, tile, and carpeted floors throughout. It features a large family great room with cathedral ceilings and a 60' flat screen TV, a wood burning fireplace, a pool table, as well as a full size sports bar with 2 50' flat screen TVs. Adjacent to the great room is a hot tub room featuring a 7 person Marquis Spa with a Bluetooth stereo. The kitchen will please the gourmet chef in you with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a center island that has an additional service sink and wine fridge and a dining table for ten. The master suite has a private bathroom with a custom walk-in rain shower and a jetted tub for two. There are three additional guest rooms and a bunk room with full/single, single/single bunk beds and a loft with 2 single beds which overlooks the great room. The walkout basement has a mud room for all your ski/ boarding equipment and an additional living area perfect for kids with a TV, air hockey, foosball, and a Ms.PacMan machine. There is also a gym with free weights. The backyard has a large deck equipped with a BBQ and dining set, a fire pit, a sledding hill for the kids, and a large wrap around covered porch.

We traveled to Don and Rakell's property in the Mt. Snow area in July 2024. Our group consisted of 18 people (10 adults, 8 children) and two dogs. We all fit comfortably and the house met the needs of the group. There are four private bedrooms and there is an open loft with two double beds that overlooks the big family room. The basement had a double bed and a queen pullout couch. Our group enjoyed the firepit, basement game room, and the big family room which has a pool table and a "sports bar" area. The driveway fits our six cars with no issue. Overall, the house was clean and the kitchen had what we needed (bring extra paper towels and napkins).
Do bring your shampoo/soap for the bathroom. Towels, toilet paper, and hand soap are provided.
Unfortunately, the hot tub was not working while we were there. Don did have a maintenance person come to fix it a couple of times before we arrived but the problem was a bigger fix than anticipated. Don did reimburse us for that inconvenience. Communication with Don was great, he answered any of our questions and concerns promptly.
If in the area again, we would stay again.

Our family of 17 enjoyed our stay together in West Dover. The amenities were nice with plenty of room for all of us to spread out. Went into town to the brewery and just outside of town to a distillery and country store. Very relaxing sitting on the front porch on the rockers while the sun came up. Even though it rained all weekend there was plenty to do in and around the property. We all enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace and the game room/pool table, too.

Although the weather did not cooperate and the ski conditions were not terrific, most of us did ski some and we all loved the house. Location was close to the mountain and food markets. The house is larger than we anticipated from the pictures, which provided enough space for all of us to be together for meals and family games after dinner, but also allowed for some alone time when needed. The grandchildren loved the air hockey table and the Pac-Man. The hot tub was also a hit with everyone. And the gym was used to get some exercise when the rain prevented skiing. The kitchen had everything we needed. The host was also very helpful answering questions before we arrived and was extremely responsive when we had a question during our stay.

The house was beautiful and my group really enjoyed the stay. The kitchen was fully stocked and made dinner preparation for the 10 of us easy. The living room with bar, pool table, and fireplace was a great spot for us to hang out and relax at the end of the day after skiing and snowmobiling. The hot tub was just what was needed after a day out on the slopes. We also enjoyed the downstairs "game room" and played ping pong and air hockey a lot. We would definitely come back!

We loved staying at this property. It was spacious, plenty of room for a party of 18. The dining room table even fit everyone! We planned our stay for superbowl and a skiing getaway and it checked off all boxes of what you would need. Would def recommend and stay in the future!

We had such a wonderful time at Don and Rakells house. So spacious, great kitchen and dining room. Loved the bar , pool table and comfy living room. Hot tub with the views of snow and woods were great! Don was very accommodating with any and all questions or requests. Our family had a great time here and would definitely love to come back!!!

Don’s house is a great place to stay with a large ski group. The location was perfect, easy to get to town and Mt. Snow, but in a secluded location. We loved the setup of the large bar, multiple televisions, and a pool table in one room. Also having a large indoor hot tub to soak in after skiing was the best. Highly recommend staying here.

Rented Don’s house for a long ski weekend with a group of 20 friends, and it did not disappoint! It comfortably slept our entire group – the bar area was amazing and the hot tub was perfect! The location was convenient for a quick drive to Mount Snow or a number of breweries. Don went above and beyond and helped us to return a pair of ski boots that were accidentally left behind as well. Highly recommend this place – we will definitely be back!

We had a great time renting the ski house for two night three days with father and sons for our annual ski trip to Mount Snow. The owner Don is very responsive, and we did have a small issue which he took care of immediately. Everyone was very happy and we would rent from Don again.

The Common area, with bar, pool table, big couch and fireplace was amazing! We loved it! We had a room for everyone. And the kitchen area is even better and more spacious than it looks in the photos! Loved the long high dining table. We had 15 for dinner, all together at the table! We loved the hot tub...indoors with windows looking at the snow all around! We loved having ping pong. The mug room works so well to hang your coats and leave your shoes. Very Very comfortable! A wonderful family week!!!

It was the perfect location for our large and always growing family. 12 adults and 3 young kids. We only had a short stay for a surprise 60th birthday and it was just perfect. Great space and games to keep everyone spread out and entertained. Thank you for everything.

Great Party Getaway
The owner is exceptionally responsive, which made for a stress-free experience from start to finish. There are many things to do around the house, which made for an enjoyable and comfortable experience for all guests regardless of interests. There is also plenty of parking!
The furniture is older and a bit rickety and the pool table had some debris on it and there was only one pool cue that wasn't broken, but it did not detract from our experience at all.
The hot tub was a crowd favorite and the bar is phenomenal! There was tons of firewood for the fire pit and fire place and propane for the grill.
We will certainly be back again!

Excellent Stay !
We had a 50th Birthday party getaway in this house with large group(19) and had very comfortable stay! The property manager communicated really well, sent us the instructions for checkins and checkout and answered our questions promptly. The checkin and checkout were contact free and went very smoothly.
The house itself was very clean. The bar area is really nice and big. There is a propane grill outside which we could use.

Beautiful home!
This house has everything you could imagine and then some. We had a large group of 14 both family and friends and the house is so large and spread out we could all enjoy everything very comfortably. It could use some repairs for minor things but overall the house was amazing!! The area is wonderful and we enjoyed hanging out and relaxing with so many fun activities right in the comfort of your own home. I would definitely highly recommend this home.

We spent a week at this gorgeous house, relaxing in front of the fireplace, hot tubbing, playing pool, and enjoying the scenery. It was the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We had a blast.

Great stay
We had a great time stay at Don’s for our ski trip in Mt.snow which is 10 minutes away. The house is spacious and is bigger than in the pictures, very clean. We are 10 adults staying comfortable there and don’t feel like we are on top of each other. Dan is a great communicator and very responsive. Thanks Don!

Large house, close to skiing and full of amenities
Our family had a really great time at this rental. It had everything we needed for a fun ski vacation. The proximity to Mt Snow was great. It had enough bedrooms for our 4 adult daughters and their significant others to sleep and have privacy. We really enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and fireplace after a day of skiing. (Thanks to the owners for supplying wood!) And the great room/bar area was a great space to all hang out together.
We did have a few minor issues that didn’t detract from our stay, but really are just a matter of cosmetics/expectations. I wouldn’t exactly describe this rental as “true luxury” as the description says. Based on the price, description and previous reviews, I was expecting this to be a top notch place in pristine condition. It definitely was not. Some of the furniture is broken and/or worn out. The master bedroom has bare bulbs with no light fixture. Window treatments are broken, shower curtains hang crooked with too few hooks. There are partially painted ceilings and walls. Tiles are broken and missing throughout. A burner on the stove doesn’t work. And it needs a good top to bottom cleaning. The bar and bedroom furniture were very dusty and there were lots of remnants from the previous occupants. (We could tell they had a New Year’s Eve party from the kazoos and streamers still found strewn around).
The owner was very, very responsive and willing to address any issues that we had, including offering to send over a cleaning person. It’s just that nothing was major enough to interrupt our plans or warrant immediate attention.

This is a great property for a large group. The hosts are very good about communication and respond quickly to any questions you may have before & during your stay. The house has spacious bedrooms and is kid friendly. Some items in the house could use some repair and updating. Wifi is not very strong so just be prepared for it to take a little time to send things or logon to websites if you need to do so.

Great retreat
Had a work group of 12 head out for less than 24 hours. House was exactly what we would have hoped. Everyone got their own bed, the open living room creates a “community” type of feel that you could lounge on the couch, sit at the bar, jump in the jacuzzi or simply stare out at the fire pit into the snowy backyard. All in all we had a tremendous time and will certainly go back!

A great property for relaxing vacations
We stayed with few friends and kids at this property which is in great condition and also found it very clean. Don is very prompt in replying the messages and was kind enough to allow late checkout. Living room area is huge and pool table in that area was icing on the cake. Kitchen was fully equipped and clean so as bathrooms. Overall we all enjoyed equally and returned back with great memories. We will surely rent this place again for future vacations.

Quiet time in Dover VT
Just returned from a low-key getaway with friends and family in West Dover. We had a blast at Don's mountain mansion! Plenty of space to hang out, plenty of wood for the fire, and plenty of laughs. It was a nice quiet area which is exactly what we were looking for. We will be looking to returning for a ski trip in the future.

Excellent house and experience
The house is actually much bigger than it looks in the photos. The massive great room with a full bar, TVs and pool table was an incredible space for our groups golf weekend. The house was very spacious and clean. The host was very responsive and detailed. Would reccomend to any large group.

Amazing Stay
Don and Rakell's house is amazing. Despite poor weather for much of the weekend, we all had a blast. The amenities (hot tub, grill, fire pit, outdoor seating, ping pong table, pool table, bar, full kitchen, several TVs, etc.) and the other accommodations (spacious rooms, comfortable beds, ample towels, etc.) were perfect for what our group was looking for during our short two night stay. Don and Rakell were also very on top of communication and were always reliable in getting back to me regarding questions I posed leading up to the weekend. I can't recommend this place enough!

This house is in a great location very close to Mount Snow. The house is well appointed with all the basic supplies to get you started. The pictures are accurate however the is even better in person. Loved the hot tub after all the skiing and snowboarding. A+ for the owners who were easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We would definitely rent this again! Cheers to Don & Family
