About this house rental
This 4-bedroom home-away-from-home is outfitted with your comfort, fun and convenience in mind for your time in Woods Hole or Falmouth. Walk or bike to the village of Woods Hole or beaches. Ride, skate, run or walk the Shining Sea Bike Path. Eat out on the deck (or grill your catch of the day!) while any young ones play in the yard or laze in the hammock. Play a game, borrow a book, or challenge a friend to Foosball. Most of all: go to the beach!
Our kitchen has a gas stove, filtered water, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker (and a multi-cup coffee maker), microwave, kettle, blender, and everything you'll need to cook, bake and serve. Our dining room table extends to seat 10 -- or eat at the picnic table on the deck.
Three upstairs bedrooms (each with queen beds) and a downstairs bedroom (two twins) and two full baths - both updated - ensure plenty of room and privacy for your group of up to 8. We have a pack-n-play if you have a young one in your family.
Information on local attractions and restaurants is provided so you can plan your adventures. We enjoy the beaches, the bike path, day trips to Martha's Vineyard, and Cape Cod Baseball League games in Falmouth. Where will you explore from this comfortable home base?

Traci & Matt made it so easy to enjoy their home (it was also recently renovated). PLENTY OF ROOM with all of the necessities for our big family. The AC was so important this time of year and it was quiet, as well. They also installed a whole-house water filter which is needed sometimes here in Falmouth when the tap water smells like "lake-water".

Traveled with 2 adults and 3 older teens. House was great - plenty of space to be together and have their own space. Kitchen was well stocked, bathrooms were clean. Highlight for me was the large deck, we ate all our meals outside on the picnic table. Gas grill, we used bikes for a trip to Martha’s Vineyard. Easy access to bike path to reach beach and village. One suggestion would be to upgrade the deck furniture, such a beautiful spot.

This VRBO is in a great location and the owner has many extras to make your stay enjoyable. We parked our car after arriving and walked, biked or took the ferry to enjoy our week. This house is located by the bike path for easy access to Woods Hole and Falmouth. The beach is 1 mile away, the bikes provided made this trip easy and fun. We would come back again!!!

This is a lovely house at the end of a quiet street with a fully equipped kitchen, nicely upgraded bathrooms and lots of amenities like beach chairs and even bicycles. There are three bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs, and there was plenty of space for the 7 of us. We had our 4 year old granddaughter with us who loved the lego box in the playroom area and of course the beach. There are many beaches to chose from and one day we walked to the ferry in downtown Woods Hole and went to Martha’s Vineyard. There is so much to do we ran out of time! I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who likes peace and quiet at night and lots of activities during the day.

We stayed at Traci & Matthew's house for two weeks, with a rotating cast of family members. The house is well appointed, fully stocked kitchen with all necessary gadgets (including a lobstah pot) that one would need. There's plenty of space for people to all be together, or find a quiet nook for some alone time. We enjoyed the large deck (much bigger than it looks in the photos!) and ate many of our meals outside. The outdoor shower was lovely after a day on the water, and helped keep the indoor bathrooms free.
The location is amazing, close enough to everything, yet very quiet and private at the end of the street. The bikes allowed us to roam around without shuffling cars in the driveway, or getting stuck in the summer traffic.
Our college-aged children loved biking into Woods Hole, Falmouth, the ferry, and all of the beaches.
My elderly mother has mobility issues, and the first-floor bedroom and bath were perfect for her. In the photos, the downstairs bedroom was set up as a bunk, but it was two twin beds which was much easier!
The master bedroom was very spacious (with a giant closet!) and a desk, which allowed for some remote work days.
We miss it already!

This home is very conveniently located close to beaches and the town of woods hole. Easy access to ferries to MV and lots of towns nearby to explore. The home was easy to settle into and comfortable. Really appreciated the access to supplies and laundry. The owners set us up with a few essentials to get us started (coffee, tp, soap etc) and we’re responsive when we had questions. Thanks for a great week!

Very Lovely Home for Our Family Stay
We had a lovely experience staying on Glendon Rd. The street was quiet and the house was within walking distance of the center of Woods Hole. There was plenty of space for the six of us to spread out. Great amenities such as bikes, beach chairs and toys, and a full kitchen. The deck was a wonderful spot to sit, drink coffee, and enjoy the morning. We would absolutely consider staying again!

Where do I begin? The booking process and communication throughout was exceptional. When we drove up to the house I just smiled thinking - wow - this is home for the next week. The house is at the end of a quiet street that has access to a walking and bike path. Everything that you could think of was provided (except the bed sheets and bath towels, of course). There’s a beautiful backyard and deck (with a hammock!). It is in close proximity to the Steamship Authority (ferry over to Martha’s Vineyards) in Woods Hole (although we took the Island Queen ferry from Falmouth because the parking is much easier). We enjoyed walking and shopping on Main Street in Falmouth as well as in Woods Hole. My daughter (who is 10) is interested in Oceanography so I signed us up for a tour of WHOI (Woods Hole Oceanography Institute) - it was beyond my expectations. We hit a new beach every day - each had its own unique touch. Traci knew it was my daughter’s birthday and left her a little something which really added a personal touch! We can’t wait to go back!

This house was perfect for our visit! We have lots of family in the area, but recently sold the one big "family" home where we (I) have stayed for the past 50 years. We decided rather than foisting ourselves on a relative's floor, we would simply get our own place nearby. This was perfect! We did a lot of our own meals and the kitchen is beautiful and was fully equipped for strawberry-rhubarb pie, margaritas, or simple barbecue. We were able to have different family members over each evening, and hosted up to 10 people for one dinner.
The outside space was lovely. I had my morning tea on the deck each day, our older daughter made use of the hammock, and we barbecued several evenings. We used the bikes to get around some and found the trail to the bikeway very pleasant and easy. Several of us used the outside shower - which was awesome! (And helps to keep the bathrooms free...)
The bedrooms were more than adequate for our purposes, and we even had one bedroom to spare so if any of our nieces/nephews were available, we could've hosted them fine.
I would definitely recommend this home and the hosts, who were always very quick with their responses to any questions we had both before and during our stay. I'm hoping it will be available the next time we get to come to the Cape! 💜

Perfect home for a nature-loving family
What a peaceful place.
We loved every moment of our brief stay. The house was very well-supplied and the bathrooms were particularly great. Outside the home, we were able to do and thoroughly enjoyed several of the activities that were recommended by the owners.
My kids did not want to leave!! We would love to come again. ;)

Our trip to Woods Hole was just what we needed as a reset before the fall. We felt lucky to find a rental late in the season and even more lucky when we got to the house. It's a great little house, just like in the photos. What you can't see is that the house has everything thing and more that you need for your trip - from beach equipment to coolers to a well-stocked kitchen and laundry room - everything was more organized than in my own home. We loved cutting through a path to the bike trails and finding a few small beaches just 15 min walking from the house. We used the bikes every day and rode into town or the beach. Traci was super responsive before, during, and after our trip. Wouldn't hesitate to come back to Glendon!

This Woods Hole home makes the perfect family getaway! There is a lot of comfortable sleeping, eating, and living space for adults and kids alike. We enjoyed all our meals on the back deck, which includes a grill and a large picnic table. Clean up was easy with the compact but remarkably roomy dishwasher, an amenity we were grateful to have. The hammock quickly became a family favorite, and it's big enough for two so our kids could share! The owners have thought of everything to make vacationing (especially with kids) easy: There are books to borrow, puzzles and games to play, and DVDs to watch on a rainy day. They also provide bikes, beach chairs, and other gear that is wonderful to have but difficult to travel with. On the basis of the owners' recommendation (they provide a book of restaurant menus and local activities) we ordered pizza to be delivered to Stoney beach at sunset - it was a highlight of our stay! After a day at the beach, we loved the convenience of the outdoor shower, clothesline, and washer/dryer. Easy access to the bike/running path kept everyone in our family happy. We are returning guests and will definitely be back again!

Echoing the other reviews, this is a wonderful Cape home for a family visit. We had parents, 2 kids (5 & 7), and 2 sets of grandparents and the house was a fantastic size and excellent layout to accommodate everyone. We never felt like we were stepping on each other's toes, which is important with 2 sets of in-laws in the house! The kids loved the play structure, the board games, and the foosball table, so they never even got around to watching the kid-friendly DVDs. We enjoyed the bikes and the kids loved walking their bikes through a wooded path to the bike path.
A small detail that made a big difference to me was that every shower, including the outdoor shower, had shampoo and conditioner already there. It is the small things like that which make a vacation rental feel like home, and save a headache.

Our family stayed for a few weeks in June while we did some work at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole. The house is in excellent condition and had a ton of room for everyone. The large deck out back with the grill and big yard were a huge plus. The kitchen and bathrooms are brand new and we had plenty of room to spread out.The neighborhood is quiet and kid friendly. The owners were kind enough to leave all sorts of beach stuff for us to use which the kids appreciated. The location is great. While this house is not on the beach it is vey convenient to the bike path from which you can easily get to a number of different beaches. It is a 3 minute drive (10 min bike) to Woods Hole, and maybe a 10 minute drive (20 min bike) to Falmouth, so it is very well situated. We highly recommend staying here and would certainly consider coming back next year!

We are a young family with 3 kids and we were there with our friends with also 2 young kids. the house was perfect: convivialty, comfort, anything that we need was there. We were able to go to the village by foot and by bikes and it was not a nightmare!!! Everyday we were going to nobska beach by bike on a nice little path near the house. This beach is the best beach ever: quiet, not crowded, lovely and in front of Martha's vineyard! The woods whole village is also cute and welcoming. For the groceries, we took the car for 15 minutes and we found everything! Seriously, it was our best family "super chilled" vacation!!! Thanks to the owners who were super nice. For sure we will make it a Tradition! Marcelline from Montreal.

We were quite happy with our stay at this home in Woods Hole. We only used 3 bedrooms, and didn't spend much time at the house, but we were very comfortable there in the evening. The owners communication was great. They also provided the basic necessities and a welcoming bottle of wine. The house sits on the end of a quiet street, an easy drive to restaurants, the Woods Hole Institute and SEA. There is also an easily accessible trail, although we didn't use it. Hope to stay there again!

inviting home in a wonderful location
I stayed in this home with my husband, brother and sister in law. The home is on a quiet dead end street, and is very private as it is surrounded by lovely tall trees in the back and sides, and shrubs in front. This made the side porch very inviting and private, and we spent time eating on the table there, and in the hammock enjoying the privacy and beauty of the trees. The listing photos depicted the home accurately, and the owners were very responsive in answering questions and helped to make the experience feel excellent.
At the end of the driveway there is a small path, that when taken will lead one eventually to the shining sea bike path, which is delightful as it covers many varied terrains in the area. My husband and I enjoyed walking it toward Woods Hole, passing the ocean and a lighthouse, as well as woods, and got to Woods Hole proper,(not far away) where we stumbled into happy hour at the LandFall restaurant, and enjoyed drinks and some "fish bites" for .35 cents and another beautiful view of the ocean!!
We enjoyed Woods Hole and this home, due to the walkability to the Ferry to Martha's Vineyard also! It is completely walkable from the house along the shining sea bike trail, and no worry about parking your car!
Also, the oceanographic Institute and the Marine Biology Labs in W.H. were definite draws for us.
Woods Hole has some interesting history as well! You will have to go to hear about it. I recommend the tour of the institute, marine labs, and going to the holding tanks, where you can hold some of the sea creatures of Buzzards Bay. It is thrilling if you are a newbie like me, to ocean creatures.
Back to the house...besides being in a wonderful location, the kitchen is newer and a delight to cook in, and the beds are so comfortable! The home itself has a casual well thought out elegance in decor, a large inside dining table, many beds to go around and plenty of bathroom space . If you want to visit Boston, it is also very close to Boston, unlike most of the rest of the cape. We visited three different beaches while there, all with their own character. We packed the picnic "satchel" from the home, and went on a picnic to Plymouth, and toured Plymouth Village, which was only 50-60 minute drive from the house.
We all thoroughly enjoyed this home, and I would highly recommend it.

Great family retreat
My family and I spent nearly 2 weeks at the property and it was the perfect retreat for all of us. The large backyard allowed the kids to run around and enjoy climbing the trees and the swing set. The house had everything we could have needed and the hosts were incredibly helpful with suggestions for places to go around town. We particularly loved Wood Neck Beach about 15 minutes away, and can't wait to return.

Great Cape Cod Escape
We had a wonderful weeks stay at this property in Aug 2012. The house is rustic and charming- the new kitchen was fabulous for cooking (which we love). The owners were fantastic to work with- very accomodating and offered tons of advice and answered questions quickly. We highly recommend this house as a base for exploring the Cape and all the wonderful things it offers.
