***Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed***
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency in recent years. Although sargassum is an unsightly nuisance, it is largely seasonal in summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.
Should sargassum be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation. We try our best to work around mother nature.

The outdoor space at this house is fantastic!!!

Lovely quiet location with space for our family of 5. All our needs were met!

Wonderful setup on the bay. Perfect peaceful place to relax. Located in a great spot within walking distance of Rum Point for pickup by Red Sail excursions to Sting Ray City. Also close to Starfish Point and Kaibo.
We loved lounging by the pool and the beautiful view.

I rented the property for a group of four for four days. Checking in was easy and convenient. The property is accurately described on VRBO, but the glaring issue was just how unclean the property was. The property was tidy and organized, just not clean. For example, under the ottoman in the living room and in the corners of all the bathrooms was a layer of thick dust mixed with hair from previous renters.
Also, the air conditioning unit for one side of the house was not working at all. It took a couple of hours to reach the property manager, Judy, about the A/C. Her phone would ring and ring, but there was no way to leave a message. So, I kept calling. She eventually answered her phone and addressed the issue the next day. The room was hot all night but the ceiling fan helped. It was repaired the next day and worked fine after that.
One annoying issue was that the tv remote we found next to the tv did not work. I opened it up to find that it did not have batteries in it. But then an hour or so later we found a newer remote (in the kitchen) that did have batteries and worked perfectly well. So, why would they keep an old broken tv remote out in the living room where guests would confuse it for a working one?
Its not a bad place if you don't mind a little dirt but management and housekeeping here are much less impressive than I've seen at other VRBOs I've rented.

Great family home in Rum Point
We really enjoyed Just for Fun. The bay and kayaks were wonderful and the pool was great for cooling off after a day of excursions or fun at the beach. The home had just what we needed and was very comfortable for the five of us. The property manager was a little difficult to reach but beyond that, it was a wonderful experience.

Awesome vacation retreat!
Private, pool and hammock areas very relaxing. Plenty to do right out of you back door in bioluminescent bay and Rum Point right down the way. The house was exceptionally clean and had everything we need to have a spectacular vacation. We will back back!

lovely and relaxing kitchen very well equipped
Villa was clean with more than ample outdoor space in a very nice area. There is quite a bit of construction in the area so expect some noise for the next several months. For us, it was not a huge factor but very noticeable. This home had the best stocked kitchen of any rental we have every used. Our property manager Jody was very pleasant, attentive, and helpful on the 2 occasions we had to call her. I feel she works very hard at her job and would do her best to address any issues within her power. The home was clean and was nicely decorated. Someone has tried to attend to the details. I would encourage the owner to update a couple of the kayaks. One has no seat that we could find, so I strapped the life jackets together and stacked them to make it work. A 2 person kayak would likely do the trick. The small kayak is for a child and is hard to paddle even for a small teenager. The bioluminescent bay is the real deal. One of the best things we have ever done. Rum point is not quite, but basically across the street. You will have to go there for the beach. There is no beach behind the house. If you are thinking there is a beach in the area like seven mile beach there isn't. If thats what you want you will need to stay on that side of the island. All of the beaches in this area that we found were very grassy. Starfish point and kayaking around the area were fun. There are no grocery stores in the area so stock up on your way. There are 3 restaurants in the area that we all enjoyed. We would definitely go back.

House is more dated than the photos
We were very excited about this house based on the photos. When we arrived, we were underwhelmed. It is smaller than we imagined and more dated than the pictures suggest. The most glaring example of this is the couch, which is just kind of old and run down. But there are broken tiles , some of the screens in the porch area were ripped and the washer/dryer was surprisingly loud. There are enough basic supplies to do your cooking if that is what you want to do, but there is virtually nothing in the way of basic food items, so you will need to purchase those and they are very expensive on the island and you have to drive pretty far to get to a real grocery store.
The pool is nice, but the "spa" part of it does nothing extra. It doesn't get warm, it doesn't have jets, and I couldn't even find a way to turn on a light for it. It is nice looking out on the bay, but honestly, if you are going to Grand Cayman, I would suggest a house on the ocean. The beaches on the island are incredible and the bay is just not something you would want to swim in. We hoped it might be at least okay for kids to play in, but that isn't possible as the water comes up to a barrier wall.
The property manager did take care of some things for us (the screens were fixed and when we discovered only 4 beach towels, despite having more guests than that, they did drop off more) but completely ignored another request. I went to use the grill and within 5 minutes, the propane was empty. I called two people on my contact list, emailed two people, and never even got a response. Nobody answered the phone, nobody replied to my email, nobody asked if it was taken care of. Nobody lifted a finger. And this exemplifies my overall problem with the house; instead of being proactive with the property and making sure it is in good shape and ready for your arrival, they are reactive and will only address what you bring up. You are paying too much for that kind of service. I definitely would NOT stay in this house again and I don't think I would book with Grand Cayman Villas again, either.
My advice: find something on the beach, ask a lot of questions about the house, and pay close attention to the reviews left by others.

Fun Time at Just For Fun
This was our first visit to Grand Cayman. We were originally booked at a villa in St Croix which was heavily damaged due to the hurricanes and our vacation was canceled. I searched for villas in Grand Cayman and Just For Fun popped up and our vacation date was available. This villa did not disappoint. After visiting Seven Mile Beach on one day of our stay we were so happy that we chose this villa in the North Point. It was very quiet but close enough to walk to Rum Point for dinner/drinks or other fantastic restaurants in the East End. The villa was clean and well stocked. The pool was refreshing after a day of sightseeing. Other high points were the kayaks they supplied which we used every day, especially at night to see the bioluminescense which was absolutely amazing. The private sandy beach was also a plus and the private dock was perfect for our private charter to pick us up to bring us to Sting Ray City. If I had to make any suggestions it would be to have the spa tub heated and to have a cooler and beach chairs available to bring to the lovely beaches. However, these minor things would not cause me to choose another villa. Our family thanks you for making our stay so enjoyable.

4.5 Star Stay! January 20 - 27
We loved our stay! We are family of 4 w/ twin 4 year old boys. They could not get enough of the pool. The layout of the the house was extremely conducive to our needs. Bathrooms were located on either end of the home, as were bedrooms with the common space being in the middle. It was great that you could see out from the kitchen and living room all the way to the pool, to always have an eye on the children. There was a nice short 150m walk to the beach. Beach and sea are beautiful. The location and home are great. Only reason, I would not give 5-Star. 1)Bathrooms needs to be updated 2) Couch cushion covers needs to be changed, they were clean, but looked dingy and aged 3) Tiles around pool need to be reset and glued (there were a few "floaters").
We would absolutely come back again. A great family vacation, home & location. Thank you to all.

Amazing Place!
This house everything if your planning on staying at Rum Point with 2 min walking distance from Rum Point Bar & Restaurant. I highly recommend this house if your staying in this area of the Caymans!

Expectations exceeded!
We were scrambling for a last minute vacation spot since Irma ruined our St. Thomas plans. The house and location were amazing. We spent every day in the fabulous pool and walked down the street for delicious frozen drinks at Rum Point. Chartered a boat from Silver Thatch and the awesome captain, George, picked us up at our dock. While the more reviewed restaurants get all the buzz, make sure you stop by Over the Edge Bar and Grill.
Our hearts are with everyone affected by these terrible storms but found a true gem in the Cayman’s at Just For Fun!

This was our second time to Caymen, after a day visit from a cruise two years ago. We weren't sure where we wanted to stay, but decided against Seven Mile Beach area because of the crowds. The North Side seemed to get good reviews, so we gambled and it payed off. Overall, I loved Grand Cayman and the house was a great home base from which to explore.
Points on the house location.
1. Great location on quiet side of the island. Virtually no traffic and very peaceful.
2. Construction was going on across the street. It didn't bother us much and we got a discount because of it.
3. Rum Point Club down the block. I wasn't super impressed with it. The swimming area was ok. There are better beaches on the island. The restaurant and bar were super expensive and the food was mediocre at best. But you can book excursions to snorkel or go to Sting Ray City there. That was convenient.l
4. The house is actually on a bay, not the ocean. It was fine, but we couldn't really swim there. There were jelly fish in the bay while we were there. My kids did kayak though. We tried to see the Bioluminescence at night, but weren't lucky enough. Not sure if it was the timing or what.
5. We were a quick five minute drive to Starfish Point which was a nice beach.
6. There is no grocery store nearby. There is a place called Chisolms about 5 - 10 minutes away, but the prices were really high there. Stop on the way in at the corner of Hirst and Shamrock. There is a decent IGA there.
7. You'll need to plan a couple of day trips to go over to the more touristy things on the other side of the island. There are some beaches over there definitely worth checking out (Cemetery Beach was a favorite).
Points on the house:
1. Very clean.
2. Great pool. Very well kept. This was awesome for the kids.
3. Had outside showers for when we got back from the beach so we didn't have to track in all of the sand.
4. Kitchen is kind of stocked. I've done other VRBO rentals with better kitchen equipment. We could have used some sharp knives for fileting fish (or at least a sharpener).
5. The living room furniture isn't that conducive to family gatherings. We wanted to watch movies a few nights and it was a little uncomfortable.
6. The beds and bedding were all fine. Again - everything was clean.
7. We had enough towels, but did have to launder them a few times. Mostly that's because my kids have an issue with hanging up their towels.
All in all - I would recommend.

Perfect Girls' Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was ample room for all six of us, and the pool was roomy enough for all of us to enjoy. The screen-in porch was a lifesaver for our evening chats as it protected us from the mosquitos while allowing us to enjoy the environment of the bay. We had such fun at night stirring the water with an oar from the kayaks to see the luminescent plankton in the bay.
The Rum Point Club was just steps away and they helped us pull off a wonderful surprise birthday party for one of the girls in our group. They are probably still talking about the private steel drum concert in the Wreck Bar and the flowers that adorned the table (and us) and the gourmet cake (all of which the catering manager transported herself from the other side of the island). A great place for a meals, drinks, music or water sports. While the villa is a bit of a drive to Seven-Mile Beach and downtown, we preferred having a private pool and quiet time compared to the activity of the more populated part of the island.
There were so many quaint restaurants we found on our travels to other parts of the island, and EVERY ONE of the people we met on the island were the most friendly we've ever encountered. Charming island, charming people, gorgeous scenery!
The property manager was always a phone call away for questions and was very helpful. We would have preferred having a few more towels for our group to avoid laundry chores, but other than that, the villa was well-stocked and clean. She probably would have provided extra towels had we asked. Loved having a free phone to call the U.S. and another for island calls.

Perfect!
We recently had the pleasure of staying in “Just for Fun” out on Rum Point. I can’t imagine a more relaxing vacation venue. The location was fantastic, right there on the cove, with the ocean just across the street. It was water, sky, clouds, palm trees, and more water. We really appreciated that we were far from town, and, yet, there were great dining and eating spots within easy walking and biking distance. The house was very comfortable, organized, and well laid out-- very much like being at home which added to the ease of our stay. We look forward to our next visit to Just for Fun!

Great island experience!
I’ve been visiting the Cayman islands for over 15 years, and Just For Fun is the place I look forward to staying most! We love how it’s fresh and updated with all the conveniences we’re used to at home...Not to mention having your own private pool and beach! The free wifi was great to be able to Skype, and it was cool the house has a phone that makes free calls back to the states. It's was a great island experience

A vacation in Paradise!!!
We came from eastern Europe and having to travel from such long distances, we plan our vacations carefully. This one was an epic experience for our family. The privacy of the villa gave us a complete escape to enjoy ourselves together. Yet the convenience of being able to walk to nearby restaurants on the beach gave us an opportunity to meet others and have a great time. We particularly liked Rum Point which is a less than 2min. walk across the street is a casual yet beautiful bar/restaurant experience. My husband especially loved the different local rum cocktails. My favorite place was the nearby Kaibo restaurant where they have live music and on certain days of the week all you can eat barbecue buffet. We always love coming back to our own place after a long day and relaxing in the hammock by our private pool.
We loved our vacation! Without realizing it, this island beach house is located right on one of the few bio-bays in the world! A highlight of our island stay, was being able to kayak at night right off our own private beach and see the bioluminescence light up off our paddles. One of the boys jumped in, and it was amazing seeing the blue bright fire-y light show he created swimming around in the bay. We are definitely coming back and bringing our friends.
