About this apartment rental

The Caribbean is a low density complex, with only 32 units to share all the amenities. We have a heated indoor pool, beach side pool, grill area, fitness center, sauna and steam room.

The Caribbean is located on the West Beach away from the traffic, and 1.4 miles west of Hwy 59. We are right down the road from the Hang Out and many other fabulous restaurants.

Our unit is located on the 7th floor with beautiful oceanfront views. Our condo was renovated with beautiful new cabinets, granite, faucets, mirrors, lighting, flooring and accessories.

A new high balcony dining set is ready for those romantic candlelight dinners. A large flat screen plasma tv in the den and a DVD library for your enjoyment. Each bedroom has brand new top of the line bedding, beautiful flooring and wall-mounted tv's. We also provide luggage racks in each closet and beach chairs for your use.

Perfect smaller property right on the beach. 32 units/ 8 floors with elevator. Unit was beautiful just as photos show. Had a slight communication delay at the beginning, but we got past that and everything from there on was smooth sailing.

It was just me and my sister and our two dogs. I think what I love the most about the place is that the balcony actually seems to be on the beach and we saw dolphins every single day in the morning and in the afternoon.

The condo was beautiful, very clean, and right on the beach. My sister and I and a friend of ours, along with my little dachshund Lilly had a great time. We relaxed and enjoyed the beach and the condo. The owners were very nice and attentive. Will definitely stay again!!

What can I say. I never offer reviews but truly felt the need to this time. We arrive and the condo floors were so dirty that we had to wear shoes until the manager found someone to clean them. The bathroom tub/ sink/ etc had not been cleaned. It still had sand and soap scum in the bottom of the tub. The shower curtain liner was so moldy it was disgusting and I ordered a plain liner to use for the time I was there. . I told them about the condition of the bathroom and they angry and did not have someone clean it! I requested a partial refund from the owner due to the condition of the condo and he accused me through Vrbo of extortion saying I offered a good review for money. I never mentioned a review to him! He then continued with harassment and threats. He threatened to “come get me out of there”. I told him about a leak around the bathroom faucet and he threatened me with the police! Accused me of doing something to the tub and accused me of not letting the management company in to investigate the situation. As soon as the management company called, I called them back and explained what we had noticed and told them we were not going to use the tub. We scheduled an inspection appointment for 9AM the next morning. At this point I refused to have any further contact with him. I continue to be concerned because I don’t know how much of my personal information he has. I probably will never go back to Gulf Shores because of this awful experience.

Loved the balcony view. Easy beach access. The long wooden walkway goes right to the beach! The condo has everything you need. Bring food and your clothes and enjoy. Would stay here again!

Wonderful time. Fantastic view and right on the beach. I don’t think you could have easier access to the shoreline. VERY clean with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The owners were also very accommodating on such short notice with the special circumstances we have regarding our blind daughter and her companion dog. Fantastic stay, thank you!

Our stay was good. The beds were ok , my son and his wife said the king bed was very uncomfortable. My bed the queen was great. Kitchen had everything we needed except for ice maker and they were in the process of getting that fixed. When we first entered the condo there was a funky smell and later we figured out it was the vacuum cleaner. We grabbed it to vacuum some sand out of the master that was left from the previous guests and it stunk up the condo. A combo of wet dog/smelly feet. The parking is ridiculous. If I have one vehicle I should have a place to park without having to go across the highway in the dark with one crummy street light that didn’t stay on the whole time. For the amount we paid we won’t stay here again, due to not having a parking spot.

Scott and Michelle's condo was perfect for our group of four guests. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed having a well stocked kitchen with plenty of kitchenware so that we could cook dinner and enjoy the meal out on the balcony. Super convenient access to the beach too! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is a perfectly-located 2 BR condo in a small building on the west beach of Gulf Shores. The unit is beautifully furnished, clean and well stocked with towels, beach chairs and pool toys. The owners are responsive to every question-even one at 10:00 PM. This is a terrific place.

We come to this bldg because it’s dog friendly. This was about the 4th time we’ve stayed at this building but first time in unit 704. The condo is painted a dark color with dark furniture and “art work”which was kind of depressing especially since it rained a lot and we were stuck inside. Cheep towels and linens. The MBR mattress had a loose fitting plastic cover which was bothersome. I’ve learned to bring my own linens. Nice kitchen appliances but ice maker didn’t work. Nice toilet paper (one roll each bathroom) and nice paper towels in kitchen. Best to call owners directly. Some texts went unanswered but weren’t urgent.

We arrived on Sunday and the condo gave the impression to be nice and clean, but if you LOOKED deeper you found deep dust and dirt and MOLD ALL AROUND the condo. (MBR shower in corner, second bedroom ALL AROUND CEILING EDGES wall with window on it.). The ELEVATOR BROKE and only ONE elevator and we are elderly and on the 7th FLOOR. NEEDLESS to say this was the icing on the cake! When you are 73 and 74, you have NO RIGHT to be climbing ANY stairs. The sheets were horrible with SAND IN THEM, BOTH bedrooms, as well as sand all on the floors in the 2 bedrooms. The condo had ripped and stringy linens!! We left on Thursday as we couldn’t take the stairs anymore. We booked this trip as 2 of our daughters were in other condos close to us and would come to visit and bring us food. HORRIBLE

Condo was very nice and updated. Located directly on the beach so just a few steps and your feet were in the sand. Only approximately 32 units which we liked because it was not crowded. Building is Pet Friendly which was nice but really don't have a designated pet area. We were told you had to take your dog to a grass area by the road which is dangerous with traffic. Indoor pool was advertised as heated but to be honest, the ocean water was warmer than the pool so never used it. That is really the only negatives, would recommend staying here as the owners communicate well and the condo is nice.
