LOCATION: Casa Olson sits on the BEST private beach in the entire Los Cabos Corridor. This spectacular 6-home PRIVATE COVE, nestled between Palmilla Norte and Palmilla Sur, was developed by the original owner of the Palmilla Hotel. This magnificent sandy beach with private surf spot, safe for swimming, is wonderful for couples and families alike. ON A SCALE OF 1-10, THIS LOCATION IS A 15!
THE HOUSE: This 6,000 square foot Villa offers 6 bedrooms, each with private bath, plus a 7th guest bathroom. The main house includes two bedrooms, including the Master; four bedrooms have private entrances, separate from the main house. A gourmet kitchen, sprawling living room with satellite TV, cd/dvd, wi-fi and a large dining room and wet bar await your arrival.
AMENITIES: This 1-acre estate boasts a large infinity pool, tiled jacuzzi, large pool terraces, beautiful Hawaiian style lawns and gardens, ping pong, billiard table, beach volley ball court and childrens' jungle gym playground.
THE STAFF: The wonderful staff has been at Casa Olson for over 20 years. They are dedicated to making your vacation perfect in every respect. Maid service is included 6 days a week (excluding Sunday's) and the staff will prepare local favorites for breakfast and lunch, including appetizers (cost of food extra). Let them take care of you while you relax with soft music and a tropical drink and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of the Sea of Cortez. *Maid service on Sunday's can be available with prior request.
WATER SPORT PACKAGE: New to Casa Olson is our water sports. We have 4 foam surf boards and 6 stand up paddle boards. The cost is $25 per day, per board. All boards will be waiting for you on the beach in the morning & will be put away for you in the evening. No prior request to rent is necessary. You can decide once you arrive.
Please keep in mind, this home is not part of the Palmilla hotel and there is no golf or club privileges associated with Casa Olson.

Villa was perfect for our group - the location, the accomodations and staff, all exceeded our expectations! This villa is as advertised, and is a great venue directly on the beach, and close to San Jose del Cabo and a short ride to Cabo San Lucas. Would return in a heartbeat!

Our group of 12 adults (6 couples) had the BEST time staying at Casa Olson!! The staff were incredible, especially María who cooked breakfast and lunch for us each day - it was such a treat, and I’m still thinking about those chilaquiles she made for breakfast! The house was immaculately clean each day, as was the 1-acre property.
The rooms were all so private and luxurious with their own huge bathrooms and private entries! This was so great for 6 adult couples (friends) who want time together in shared spaces but also privacy as a couple.
The beach access was such a treat, and you can walk a long ways in both directions! (The beach/sand is rocky and has a ton of shells, so bring sandals!) There are so many neat shells to find, and tide pools to check out at low tide. We watched the whales breach in the water all day - it was amazing!
The pool is huge and has a swim-up bar as well! (We hauled our drink-making ingredients down there, and used the house cooler to fill with ice). The only downside to the pool is that it is DEEP (so you can jump from the balcony above, there’s a gate for it!!) - so bring some pool floats with you. They had a few, but not enough for all of us, and the local stores didn’t have much.
This house is close to everything!! Location is perfect, yet still very private. Have Maria arrange massages at the house for you - best massages we’ve ever had!! They brought 4 massage therapists for our group of 12, and set up by the waterfall - wonderful!!

What a great property! The location is the best on this private beach, Home is clean and has everything you could ask for. Maria and her crew were amazing: they allowed us to completely relax and enjoy our stay while taking care cooking, cleaning, etc. Onsite massages available, close to golf, stores, etc. One of our favorite vacations ever, made possible by this great home and staff!!

An Incredible Experience
Just book it! It's not just about the property, it's about the people.
We chose this property to celebrate a very special family occasion. My dad turned 70 this year and we wanted to do something over the top as a family. It was a little more than we wanted to spend, but it seemed like a great location on a beautiful beach. It's always nice when your expectations are exceeded.
All of the rooms are generously sized and well-appointed. We loved the charm of the home and the layout worked well for 3 families including an infant. They even brought in a crib from storage to make our stay more comfortable. We spent most of our time on the expansive main deck with covered areas to hide our white Canadian bodies from the sun. The kids loved the pool and got up the courage to find the "secret" entrance from the top deck into the pool. We walked the beach daily and commented several times how our beachfront was so well protected and swimmable. My son and I snorkeled several times out front. Some days were average but on a couple of occasions it was clear and there were tons of fish to see followed a sea turtle for a while (If you are a snorkeler, check out Santa Maria Beach). The plapa near the beach is a great place for morning journaling and meditation. Or... coordinate a beachside massage while listening to the waves. Incredibly, the beach was NEVER busy. We felt like we had our own private beach.
What made our trip special was the incredible service from Maria, Ugo, and Cecilia. Originally, I stupidly tried to negotiate the service out of the deal (you can't, and you don't want to). The days felt so much longer when you didn't have to cook and clean up after breakfast and lunch. I'm pretty sure Maria was disgusted by the amount of Guacamole and Pico de Gallo we were able to consume! But she never mentioned it and just made us more.
Maria and Ugo were so good at anticipating our needs. I bought a case of beer at the store and then looked at my brother and said, "I guess I should have put the beer in the fridge." My brother said, "check out the cooler, Ugo already has it on ice for us". Cheers Ugo!
Beds were made, rooms were cleaned, towels were folded, laundry was done. Fishing trips were booked, pizza was ordered (in Spanish), massages scheduled on the beach, groceries we didn't know we needed were purchased! IT WAS AMAZING!

Paradise
We stayed at Casa Olson for 5 days in early January to celebrate my daughter's 25th bday with some of her friends. Jennifer was great with communication and so helpful. We enjoyed all Casa Olson offered including Maria and Hugo's meals, being poolside, swimming in the ocean, playing volleyball, ping pong and pool, stocked coolers and always a dry towel waiting for you. Maria's cooking is delicious. Our last night Maria made us lobster dinner and Hugo set up a bonfire. They could not have been kinder or more helpful. Having Maria do most of the shopping beforehand lets you start your vacation the second you arrive! The house opens right to the beach which felt safe and was virtually empty. And the whale watching from the house was an unexpected delight. We used the suggested transportation for the entire week. A couple of updates from past reviews: Bed linens and towels are updated, comfy and like new. You can easily connect to their Sonos indoor/outdoor sound system. The beach was swimmable with a drop off about 10 feet in that at times created an undertow depending on the waves.
We can't wait to come back!

Spectacular!
What a trip! We travel to Cabo pretty frequently and absolutely loved this place! The beach was absolutely beautiful and the staff could not have been better! We had a blast playing ping pong, shooting pool and swimming in the pool and, of course, hanging out on the beach. We will definetely be back!

Perfect location...
Casa Olson is in a perfect location. It accommodates two families comfortably. We were traveling with adult children and everyone enjoyed themselves. We are planning on returning due to the location and the size of the home.

Perfection
We came for my sons 30th birthday. I could not have asked for a more perfect location. The home is amazing. The sunrises are so beautiful. The staff here is amazing! The pool is fabulous! The only bad thing about this place is having to leave! We will for sure be back!

Absolutely wonderful stay! Exceeded expectations!
Our group enjoyed every aspect of Casa Olson - the grounds and house are extremely well maintained, the house is well designed to facilitate large groups (we were 6 couples, plus a few toddlers). The parents in the group particularly appreciated the play-structure and gating around the upper deck to create a barrier from the stairs and larger pool area.
We loved watching the whales throughout the day and using the beach volleyball courts and pool table. Can't wait for our next trip.

Casa Olson is perfection times 10!
Our stay at Casa Olson was much more than we expected - it was the ultimate luxury vacation at an amazing house, in a beautiful location, with an amazing staff. The location is beyond compare with beautiful sunrises/sunsets and frequent whale shows off the coast! The spacious house meets every need and the food prepared by the staff was amazing! We're already planning next year's trip back to this incredible location!

Amazing in every way!
Between Christmas and New Year each year our family books a vacation property with the hopes of gathering all who can come, to relax and unwind, and be a bit pampered. We could not have chosen a better fit in Casa Olson.
The home and grounds are immaculate, joining true Mexican architecture with beautiful grounds and pool, and oh yes, a sandy white beach right in front! Family of 12 vacation- "AWESOME"
Like all other reviews before mine, we fell in LOVE with Maria & Hugo as well as the rest of the staff. This was our first time not staying at a resort and our parents' 50th. wedding anniversary vowel renewal. The staff stayed late that night and helped with anything we needed as well as cooked (grilled) fajitas that were out of this world. BIG SUGGESTION when you rent the house send Maria to the store before you arrive and take Jennifer's suggestion on the dollar amount. We thought we could shop cheaper, but we did not, plus the time involved.
We expected 2 staff members and were surprised by 4, we wish we would have made arrangements for a bartender for part of the time.
The Size of the house was perfect we were never crowded nor did the house look empty. The common areas were large enough and open enough to fit all 12 of us easily however when you went to your bedroom & bathroom it was like going to a hotel, the rooms are all so private. There is nothing small about Casa Olson, including the multiple steps you have to climb up and down to the beach, or even just to the pool, I did not get from the pictures this property is 2 levels at entry and 4 levels at the back. Of course, the staff brought our luggage down from the top level to the house, but there were still a lot of steps if you went to town or if you went to the beach.
Yes, the property is showing some wear IE: bath towels need to be updated, bedding needs to be updated. Yet the staff keeps everything so clean and tight you forget they are worn.
One area short in our experience, the house (property) is not handicapped acceptable. We had 2 Great-Aunts with us that need help IE: ramps & grab bars we did go to Home Depot and get a grab bar for the shower.
I am not sure if the tide changes depending on the time of year, for us only 1 was brave enough to go out into the water from the beach. The current was very strong and the wave large.
Working with Jennifer on the reservation and until we traveled was very easy, she was always so helpful. THANK YOU JENNIFER!
With all said the good and the not so good, the staff makes it all worth it.
We had a great time and loved it! Every AM a group of us would get up early and go outside on the terrace and watch the sunrise...... they were AMAZING.
You might see part of our family again with other family members.

Gorgeous location, awesome house, great staff!
My friends and I stayed here in May and had an incredible time. Booking and coordinating logistics (airport transfer, boat cruise, and grocery list) with the house manager through VRBO was easy and straightforward. The house is huge and well maintained. House staff have been employed by the homeowners for two decades and are very welcoming and responsive (not to mention great cooks). The location is beautiful and convenient - right on the beach and a short walk to One & Only Palmilla Hotel. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be returning!

I don't know if the location can be beat. If you stay here, don't waste any time effort on money on a whale watching tour because they will be right off shore from this house all day long.
Overall the property could use an update, but other than that it is truly spectacular.

Perfect weekend!!
The house was absolutely amazing, we’re already planning our next trip! We wanted to take Maria and her staff home with us, they couldn’t have been more accommodating and amazing! We woke up to the smell of bacon every morning and Maria was always ready with our margs :) They set up beach chairs for us during the day so we could watch the breaching whales after taking a swim. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

Truly unforgettable vacation experience at Casa Olson
We were spoiled from the moment we arrived. From the stunning ocean views (keep an eye out for Orca whales and stingrays playing in the water), the beautifully decorated house (Bali inspired with each room uniquely special), the delicious homemade food and drinks on a beautifully set table big enough to fit our party of eleven (better than most restaurants), thoughtful details (like robes, hairdryers, cosmetic puffs, luxury linens), beach walk treasure hunts (we found so many shells, starfish, urchins, crabs, seahorse), the family friendly pool (our kids spent hours jumping from the top deck into), there is something to entertain everyone, but the best part of it all was the care we received from Maria, Hugo and staff! They worked tirelessly to make sure we had everything we needed from an immaculately clean house, endless homemade food, covered beach chairs set up daily, filled ice chests, fresh towels every time we used one, a basket brought for our sunscreens, groceries, transportation, recommendations (I recommend Flora Farms for an awesome farm to table experience) and even a coconut opening demonstration. I highly recommend Casa Olson for a truly special family friendly vacation experience

Incredible home and experience!! A MUST Stay!
I can't say enough good things about our stay at Casa Olson! Jennifer was incredibly helpful and responsive from day one. Before we arrived, Jennifer provided me with all the information I needed (and wouldn't have known), which made our preparation for vacation that much better.
Casa Olson has everything you want: a beautifully decorated home with plenty of space for friends/family, your own private beach, an infinity pool and hot tub overlooking the water, sand volleyball court, inside/outside dining, ping pong and pool table, etc. (I could go on and on!).
Most importantly, Maria and her team were exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Maria greeted us with food and drinks, as well as a tour of the property. She always had breakfast and lunch prepared for us, and even stayed late to cook dinner for us (Maria is an exceptional cook). Every day the beach chairs were assembled, towels were fresh, the coolers were filled, the fridge was stocked, beds were made, the house was spotless -- needless to say, we were spoiled.
I have already recommended Casa Olson to all of my family and friends. Our group is looking at the calendar and trying to find another week where we can make it back to Casa Olson!

Wonderful Vacation in Mexico
We had the most wonderful time at Casa Olson. We have three boys, ages 8, 5, & 1. All of the boys had a great time. We stayed at the home with another family and had plenty of room. Maria, the house manager and cook did a remarkable job cooking! We were attending a wedding at the Palmilla and it was a great escape from all of the activities. We would highly recommend Casa Olson to anyone visiting Cabo or San Jose!

From my experience of having the chance to be there,Its been one the best times I ever had. With all the fun activitys and the relaxation, there is no stoping the fun. I got to admit, I may be 12 years old, but from when I was there my time was awesome. From playing volleyball with my siblings to swimming in a enchanted pool, The fun just got started. With the best food money can buy. The beach is perfect for swimming surfing paddle board jet skies and much more to do. This should be one of the best you'll ever stay.:)

Casa Olson is fantastic! Not only are the accommodations lovely, but the staff really made it SO nice for us! They were so warm and welcoming, and helped make the vacation just what we dreamed of! It was a really fun getaway for our family of young adults! Great pool, fantastic location, beautiful ocean vistas, great stereo and "toys" to play with! We even had beach volleyball games with Cabo neighbors! It was very memorable and we can't wait to go back! Thank you to everyone at Casa Olson!!!!

We've been staying in Cabo for 9 years and usually stay at Palmilla but this year we brought our entire family and friends so we rented Casa Olson. The house is very nice and very traditional, but the location is on the most amazing stretch of beach in Cabo....no exaggeration!! Maria and her staff could not have been nicer. Breakfast and lunch daily were all the traditional mexican foods we loved, plus new ones. She prepared a birthday dinner for my husband that was delicious and they created a fire pit on the beach with all the fixins for smores. They could not have been more accommodating!!! The only downside is that the house is in need of updating, although some bedrooms were very new. We stay at a villa/home every spring break so I have to compare it to others we've stayed in. But regardless, hands down this house is sitting on prime real estate with other bigger and more updated homes flanking it on either side. It's a gated community, very safe and the guards were incredibly friendly. It's just a short ride to the Mega Market and Costco which have everything, although we rarely went because Maria and her staff shopped for us. The kids loved it especially playing pool, ping-pong and jumping into the pool from the terrace above! GREAT vacation!! you won't be disappointed! If you go...best Charter is Zig Zag catamaran thru Baja Sailing adventures. Jorge and Israel are great. Boat is beautiful! Best romantic location with view is Sunset da Mona Lisa. So cool!! I may even like it better than Las Ventanas...different vibe. Really good food, music and interesting space is Don Sanchez in San Jose.

All the other reviews were spot on. This place is amazing, and the pics don't do it justice!! I've stayed in many places in Cabo, and this one is far and away the best. Great location on the best stretch of beach in Cabo. And the house has everything: nice bedrooms, kitchen, living room with all amenities, and a beautiful pool/jacuzzi area.
And to top it off, everyone we dealt with was fantastic. Amanda was very helpful on the front end. And Maria and her staff at the house are great. Be sure and have Maria cook her great breakfasts and wonderful dinners.
All in all, just a great experience. Couldn't recommend this place more. We'll be back for sure.

We celebrated my husband's birthday with our kids and grandkids in this amazing place! We have rented wonderful vacation homes before, most recently in Tuscany, but this place wins hands down! Prior to our arrival, many of the details were addressed and handled by the outstanding staff. From Amanda, the property manager; Pilar, the local property manager; and the housestaff led by Maria, every need was addressed and then some. From the minute you step on the property you are treated like royalty with a house and view that are incredible. The pictures don't do it justice because it is jawdropping! The house is warm and inviting and a virtual museum of artifacts. Beds were comfy and rooms were spacious. Beds were made for us daily and fresh towels were provided in bathrooms and at the pool, spa and ocean. Shade and chairs were set up daily on the beach, but we barely used them, because the kids never wanted to leave the pool. The beach was practically deserted, but that could be because it was hurricane season and Hurricane Marie did decide to drop in for a visit. There was something for every age... playground, pool table, ping pong, board games, movies, wifi. Massages were arranged onsite for us, which everyone took advantage of almost everyday. The only downside to this beautiful place is that you have to leave! We will be back with friends and family as often as possible.

Well, what can i say that hasnt already been said. the place is amazing. I took my sales team down there for a 5 day stay. there were a total of 10 of us. we are all energetic, love the adrenaline rush and really play hard on vacations. this place has it all! It also provided us privacy that was well desired after a hard days played.
The staff is amazing and very helpful. If you might be wondering about any communication barriers, dont worry because there wont be any. Anything you need can be taken care of. We brought in Massage Therapists, rented paddle boards, and the works. No problems at all.
The meals were amazing, the Chef we hired for one night was also spectacular. The staff set up a tent on the beach for our use each day, took chairs out there and set them up, and supplied the fixins for our beach bar.
We rented a van. Getting there the first time will be confusion, but after getting there once, it'll be easy from that point forward. Both San Jose and San Lucas are easily accessible and easy to reach.

This place is absolute heaven! We stayed with two other families a total of 5 children ages ranging from 4 months- to 9 years old and not one of us, wanted to leave! Four days was certainly not enough time in this sanctuary with it's own pristine beach, private beautifully maintained pools and cool welcoming rooms. We have since disgusted it's location is ideal and we prefer it to houses we've rented in Hawaii - The staff was so accommodating and delightful to wake up to everyday - dream vacation!

My family and two other families recently stayed at this amazing property. In total there were 11 of us with 5 being children. The house was super equip with activities and plenty of place to play for the little ones and ample space for the whole group to relax and enjoy.
The house was super relaxing and the beach and pool were perfect hangouts for all of us. The staff is A+ and I will 100% recommend this property to all my friends.

We had enormous expectations and they were exceeded. We went as an extended family (3 generations) and it was our best family trip ever by a wide, wide margin. The house was great for what we wanted, but would also be great for all kinds of groups.
The property is stunning and has a terrific layout for a group. The main house and patio provide an excellent area for people gathering, but if you want privacy the bedrooms provide it. All of the bedrooms are very nice, nobody felt like they were getting a subpar room. The house and furnishings are very well done, but not so "precious" that you feel uncomfortable - perfect for the beach setting.
The location is perfect for all activities - swimming (rare in Cabo), lounging on the beach, volleyball, surfing, fishing, golf, shopping...we did all of these. Our group spanned the ages of 12 to 75 and both ends of the spectrum had lots to do.
The staff, led by Maria, is fantastic and made the trip truly special. She made all of our meals, which were delicious, and helped us in so many other ways - keeping the place looking great and also helping us arrange activities with her local knowledge. She is also extremely friendly and great to be around.
Finally, I had never used VRBO before and it went very smoothly. Amanda was my contact, she was extremely helpful.
