The spacious upstairs loft features queen size and full size beds. There is one single rollaway available for extra sleeping downstairs. Kids love the separate bunk house out back. Kitchen has all the features of a modern home with a dinning table and bar. Bathroom has a shower/vintage claw foot tub combo along with a washer and dryer. All towels, linens and paper products are provided. There is a covered wrap around porch that features views of Myrtle Point, gorgeous pine, juniper and oak trees. Cabin is as stated. It is very deep in the woods. Payson is 40 minutes away. There is a small general store about 3 miles. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay
but a few hours. Our rescue kitten fell from the lift, luckily she wasn't hurt. But it would've been hard to sleep knowing it could happen again. We don't blame Gino, just didn't work out. Don't let this review sway you. If you like seclusion, this is the place.

Gino is an absolute rockstar when it comes with being a host as well as someone to spend time with. It was such a pleasure to get away and unplug from the daily grind of the city. The cabin is clean, quaint, beautifully tucked away in the pines which truly makes you feel connected to the environment. Thank you for everything Gino, my wife and are can’t wait to come and stay again.

My fiancé and I had the most perfect stay at the cabin. Gino was a spectacular host. The cabin is perfectly suited - and we had everything we needed for a comfortable and blissful stay. We even got engaged there - so needless to say we’ll be back. Thank you Gino - and thank you Nigel!!!❤️

We had a good time and enjoyed meeting Nigel, and the beautiful forest ambience.

Our second time back and it’s still the perfect place to get away. The cabin is cozy and welcoming and located in such a beautiful place. Gino was very helpful if anything was needed.

This cabin was perfect for our girls getaway. We wanted some thing off the beaten path to relax and unwind, and this fit the bill Gino is a wonderful host. Very communicative always responding within 24 hours or less. The house was exactly as it was described. The directions were clear and we had no issues. We saw elk in the backyard across the fence. Air conditioning was perfect and overall we had a wonderful time and I would definitely come back, it is a rustic lodging and is secluded. Which is what we wanted and why we chose this place. It was easy enough to get into Payson. We also went to Willow Lake and had no issues.

If you're looking to escape, want to get away from it all, this is the place. Backing up to just the forest, the elk put on a wonderful show early in the morning. Hike right from the gate. There's a spring that flows behind the property that wildlife come to visit. During the night the forest sounds will serenade you to sleep. It was absolutely the best!
Gino was the perfect host, a very kind-hearted man. He checked in daily to make sure all was well. The cabin took me back to my childhood with the vintage/cabin/western look; very similar to the cabin my parents built when I was young back in MI. Bed linens, throws, guilts and towels were top notch. Gino recently put in AC so we were very comfortable despite the unusual high temps.
Even our Lab, Annabelle, had the best time playing with Nigel, Gino's Irish Wolfhound, hiking with us and looking for wildlife. We already miss it and we'll be back again soon!

Gino was exceedingly friendly and gave us tips on the best times to see elk as well as other great destinations across Arizona. Would love to stay here again!

Our weekend get away was great! The little cabin was perfect! Beautiful back yard with a flowing creek. National forest behind the cabin for endless hiking. We brought our 2 dogs and they got along great with The owners dog, Nigel.
Cute little restaurant/bar down the road.
We would defiantly stay here again.

What a relaxing weekend we had! Gino is a great host and made us feel very welcome! Our 3 dogs got along well with Nigel, Gino's dog/small horse. We had plenty to do and see right outside the cabin, and it's a short drive to Woods Canyon Lake. Gino kept us stocked with wood for the fireplace. We enjoyed looking through and watching old movies. Thank you Gino! This was exactly what we wanted/needed for us all to reconnect.

We are so happy to have found this wonderful cozy cabin to take time away and celebrate a birthday and relax. The cabin was very comfortable, warmed by a nice wood fireplace as well as efficient electric heaters. We slept great in the loft bedroom, enjoying the gorgeous night sky and mountainside view from the upstairs windows. Another plus was not having TV reception which forced us to unplug and reconnect with each other, read and just "be"! Our labrador had the time of his life playing with Nigel the Irish Wolfhound and exploring all the scents and sounds on the property. Gino was a gracious and responsive host, and we hope to be able to return in the near future!

This place was beautiful and relaxing. It has everything you need to make it your home away from home!

The cabin is as cute as can be! So many creative touches in construction and decor. And the setting is awesome. Out the window you can see the sun dappling the valley through the pine trees. Out the back door, across the yard, and you are in national forest, with beautiful places to walk and hike. From the porch, we watched the woodpeckers playing and listened to songs of many different birds. We needed a place to be quiet and rest, and where our skittish dog wouldn't be barking at a constant stream of people coming and going in the neighborhood. We can't imagine any place that would have been better! Thank you, Gino!

We had a fun weekend up north. The cabin was great. Perfect location in the middle forest. We had plans to go to Woods Canyon lake, but had to change due to a thunder storm. We actually preferred the thunder storm.
The only thing that we recommend is clearing the exterior of the cabin of spider webs and other pets nesting around lights.
Thank you Gino for being a great host and checking on us the first night.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gino’s cabin. At first I thought we would be tripping over each other but it is layed out very spaciously with an outside deck and bunkhouse. We did have perfect weather which made our time there amazing!! Thank you Gino!!

very relaxing
I think this is our doggies favorite place in the whole world. Gino is awesome. Only complaint was our dog Milo was disappointed that there seemed to be fewer squirrels to chase this year.

We have stayed at many properties across Arizona and this is by far the best. Yes, it is 8 miles off the main road, but that was better then being at several that traffic could be heard at night. The location was fantastic.
The cabin appearance and decorations was really fabulous. with many western/ cowboy decorations that was wonderful. Also, the kitchen utensils, plates, cups and glasses was plentiful and good quality.
The cabin was very clean, and Gino was very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Great out of the way relaxation spot
We loved our getaway in this charming little cowboy cabin. Roasted s’mores, watched an old movie with our kids, and got some outdoor time in the pines. Highly recommend! Loved all the nostalgia with the cowboy decor.

Gino greeted us as soon as we drove up on the property and was immediate helpful. He let us settle in then stopped by to check on us to make sure we had everything we needed and let us know he’s just down the road if we need him, honestly that was nice to know. Our dog loved the freedom and we loved the spending time walking the wash behind his property. There’s no doubt we’ll be staying here again in the future. Thank you for your hospitality, Gino!
