We stayed here in 2019 and really wanted to come back. Unfortunately, life got in the way and we had to cancel in 2020 and 2022, but this year we finally made it! Everything was the same as on our previous stay, including our 5-star review. We especially like renting from the actual property owner, who meets everyone at the property to go over everything and answer any questions.
The location is still generally convenient with plenty of restaurants and other shopping within a couple of miles. It's a quiet neighborhood and is like having a private desert park in the back yard. I think that the owner's well-tended cactus garden rivals anything we saw in the local parks as far as variety of plantings goes!
I'm sure that if we ever come back to the area, this will again be our #1 choice of where to stay.

Lots of space, quiet neighborhood, views of beautiful sunrises and sunsets, lovely patios in front and back. Couldn't ask for more.

We liked this stay a lot. It was close to where our relatives live, so we were gone visiting much of the day. Only ate breakfast at VRBO but kitchen is well supplied for any meal. Beds fine, bathrooms fine. Appreciated the nice bathrobes. Since it was December temperatures, we didn’t get to enjoy the back and front patio much, but enjoyed looking out through the glass doors and windows. Peaceful, spacious. Not far from shopping, restaurants, etc. Host was easy to communicate with. Big laundry room with everything you need. Separate room to watch TV or ride stationery bike. Nice place.

Ideal location for the hiking we wanted to do. Two patios were great for relaxing after a hike. Quiet area with a well maintained house. We really enjoyed our stay at Rancho Feliz.

Richard was a great host - he met me at the property for a short introduction, responded to all questions via phone or text, and was very gracious. This was such a nice experience compared to a vrbo rental via a management company.
This is an older home but very well maintained and has a cosy feel. Every household item was provided in the kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms. Both the back and front porches offer lovely sitting areas for morning coffee or evening viewing of the mountains.
I took frequent early morning walks through the neighborhood and felt totally safe and enjoyed all the open desert environment.

We love staying in this home. This is our third stay here and each time Richard has been welcoming and helpful. The property is lovely - one acres desert garden, next to someone who boards horses (a plus for us). It also is only a mile from an area with stores, restaurants and almost any service. Close to Catalina State Park.
The house itself is beautifully furnished, with a kitchen with lots of equipment, spices and basics, a bar cabinet, a music room, a library with a TV, books, and games, and lovely dining area.
It is our favorite VRBO, ever.

We love staying at Casa Feliz. We can see the sunrise over the beautiful Santa Catalinas in the mornings and the sunset behind the Tucson Mountains in the evenings.
The house is located on a quiet cul de sac and is conveniently located near many grocery stores and restaurants as well as our favorite hiking destinations.
The house is fully equipped making it easy to move in and settle down.
Richard, our host was very helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend this rental.

From beginning to end, our host Richard did everything to make us feel at home as we visited our nearby family. The house is beautiful, and everything is in wonderful condition. The outside yard and patios were very welcoming and beautifully landscaped. Everything we could possibly need was provided. The music room was a unique and extra special treat. Will definitely stay here again on our next extended visit.

Home Away From Home
We loved our stay at Casa Feliz. We settled into this comfortable, well appointed rental and immediately felt right at home. Richard met us upon checkin and walked us through the house answering all of our questions concerning it's operations.
The house is in a very quiet residential neighborhood and yet near several grocery stores, restaurants, shopping centers and many fabulous hiking trails.
We have already signed up for another stay next year.

Best place to stay in Tucson
The home sits on an acre of desert landscaping, which gives you an unsurpassed private back patio and "yard." Richard is a very responsive and caring host and will meet you at the property to show you around. The kitchen is one of the best-equipped I have seen in a VRBO, and the rest of the house is comfortable and very livable. The location is on a quiet cul de sac but still has easy access to major arteries that will get you wherever you need to go in the Tucson area. This was my second stay at Casa Feliz, and it will definitely not be my last.

Relaxing desert retreat
From check in to check out, a very smooth process. The house was well equipped for cooking or just kicking back after a day of hiking or golfing. The back yard was beautiful, especially relaxing with the lights in the evening. Close to a variety of cafes and markets, very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful retreat
Richard is a wonderful host and his home is beautiful! From the minute we walked in we loved it. We instantly felt comfortable, it was a wonderful retreat from the heat of summer. The outside area was amazing, beautifully landscaped with a variety of cactus and different areas to sit and enjoy - we always started and ended each day enjoying the view. We would definitely come again!

Rancho Feliz is a special place
This is a gun place to rent in Tucson. With almost an acre of desert land making you feel quiet and alone while actually being in a nice little neighborhood and only a mile away from a major intersection. Lovely, welcoming home well taken care of by the owner.

Perfect base for activities
Our group included 2 parents (55+) and 2 18yo. House was extremely well furnished- beautifully decorated and lots of practical amenities (laundry supplies, kitchen utensils etc). Outdoor areas very comfortable. Able to drive to lots of great hikes. Resident screech owl who lives on front porch was adorable!! And host Richard excellent. Highly recommend!

Case Feliz Rocks....
We spent 8 nights at this awesome desert home and wish we could have stayed the entire month. Everything about the description of this house is accurate and yet the description doesn't quite capture it all. The house has everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay plus so much more! Who wouldn't enjoy a guitar or a keyboard, bicycles, welcoming fresh flowers and biscotti? If your goal is to spend time outdoors, you won't want to leave the quiet serenity and comfort of the wonderfully landscaped backyard or the front patio. We loved hearing the gentle sounds of the horses nearby, the neighborhood rooster in the morning, and the resident owl who greeted us most mornings. The bed was comfortable, the linens were soft, and the wifi worked well as we needed to work some while we were there.
Richard was a wonderful host who greeted us upon arrival and gave us a mini-tour before heading out. He's really thought of everything to to make this rental an awesome experience.

Couldn't have been better!
We stayed at this aptly named 'peaceful desert home' for 6 weeks, and loved every day there. As one of us had to work from home we really appreciated the layout, separation and space in the house - pictures don't do it justice. It was so comfortable, practical and well appointed. Had everything you'd need, plus! It was clean, the beds comfy, and felt like home. So much natural light with the all the windows and skylights. We loved sitting outside soaking up the desert scenery which was lit up so nicely at night. We enjoyed strolling around the property through the day, and seeing what wildlife passed through at night from images on our game camera. Front and back patios have sun, shade and views; there is ample parking. The neighbourhood was quiet and felt safe. The location is central for hiking and scenic drives, and is within walking distance of stores and restaurants. Richard was awesome to deal with. He was always quick to respond, was very accommodating, friendly and professional. We'd book again in a heartbeat.

Relaxing Mountain View Retreat
We loved our stay at Rancho Feliz. Richard was a wonderful host . Everything we needed or wanted was provided.. we loved the views of the mountains from the front courtyard and spent every afternoon in the back enjoying the lovely desert cacti and birds. The home is very conveniently located to shopping and restaurants and yet is tucked into a cul-de-sac with no traffic . We were hard pressed to go out we were so comfortable . It felt like home. We will definitely return to Rancho Feliz in the future. Rod and Carolyn Miller

Oro Valley visit
We stayed at Rancho Feliz in Feb 2020 and had a wonderful time.
We liked the convenient location, the house is in a quiet neighborhood, and the large property provided a nice area to walk. We could watch the sunrise over Pusch Ridge from the front patio and the sunset view from the back patio. The house itself was roomy, had a well-stocked kitchen, a separate TV room and a convenient laundry room. The music room was nice, too. The owner, Richard was very attentive, responsive and helpful. We especially appreciated the terrycloth robes that were provided. All in all, a great place to stay!

Rancho Feliz is an amazing property that stimulates every sense. The house had every detail anyone could desire while away from home right down to yoga matt and a printer! The setting of the house was perfect and created a feeling of being a part of a living desert as you felt engulfed in daily life amongst such a wild variety of birds and bunnies visiting every day.
