Clean, cute, private. Great nature. The stream sounds were amazing. Perfect stay. I would go back.

Perfect setting for writing, supported by hikes and golf.
The deck, overlooking a wooded valley, replete with sounds of a flowing creek with waterfalls provided an incredible vista and ambient environment for the rustic cabin. Will likely try for another writing getaway soon!

Can’t rate this property high enough. Great location, wonderful deck and view. Excellent communication with property owner. The neighbors, Margaret and spouse, were so helpful and friendly, possibly the best addition to our stay. So much wildlife in the area. We loved every minute of it. The living room space is much larger and more comfortable than the pictures display. So much to do and see in the area, but there were a dew days we just stayed at the cabin to relax because we enjoyed it that much. We’ve vacationed multiple times per year over the past 10 years and have always stayed in VRBO rentals. This was the best experience we’ve had in terms of property owners and neighbors.

If I could score higher, I would. Pictures just don’t do this property justice. We felt at home from the moment we stepped in. Perfect waterfall sound in the background. Hiked from right out the back door. Oh, and the big window view was amazing! Our hosts and neighbors, Marg and Bill, were so sweet and hospitable. Marg even led the boys on a hike. Great food just down the hill and so many great things to see within a few miles. We loved the small town feel. We will definitely be back.

We decided to stay here for a few short days for a winter cabin getaway. We had no problem finding the place even arriving in the dark. We arrived at night and were not expecting so much ice near the top of the driveway (was at an incline). Initially our SUV got stuck on some ice. Luckily Margaret appeared from the cabin next door and helped us navigate better. She was gracious enough to let myself and my baby inside while my husband finished parking. The following morning she came and put more sand and salt out for us which was very kind of her. She even came to check on us. We really enjoyed our stay. Communication was great with the hosts and they even informed us about potential snow and ice prior to our arrival. We loved utilizing the fire pit outdoors and the fireplace inside (both gas and easy to use). We also loved cooking in the cabin and were provided with any utensils we might have needed. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The only con we experienced was that some items like spices and condiments in the kitchen were past expiration. However, luckily we had brought our own. However, we would still highly recommend this quaint cabin. We would love to return in the future.

Beautiful setting, deck and lovely cabin tastefully decorated. Ample cooking equipment & comfortables living room w gas fireplace. Only drawbacks are very uncomfortable old droopy mattress in front bedroom & minimal parking -accommodates only one vehicle esp in snowy steep driveway.

We were there for 5 nights and had the best time. Beautiful views from the wonderful deck. I can’t imagine beating that deck with any vacations in the future. Cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. My 8 year old son and my hound dog had the time of their lives outside. Hope to come back some day.

Our daughter and her family stayed here 3 years ago and loved it. We planned a last minute trip and decided to stay at Bear Run from their recommendations. It did not disappoint. Simple living with a magnificent view of the mountain. Tranquil!

I couldn’t have asked for a better cabin for our stay in Colorado. Completely isolated from any traffic in the woods. The hosts were great and accommodated all of our needs. I will definitely be recommending this cabin to all of my friends

This cozy cabin is nestled among the pines of Green Mtn Falls. It is peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the deck taking in nature. The cabin is also fairlt close to area attractions, i.e. Pike's Peak, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Garden of the Gods, Olympic Museum, among others. Also, close to good restaurants. Cabin was clean and owners friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a quiet, mountain retreat this cabin will not disappoint.

We have never rented a place before, we always stay in hotels. This place has been wonderful, perfectly nested in the mountains surrounded by trees. Even though there are people near by it feels remote and quiet. It was just what we needed and plan on returning.

Stayed here back in September and loved it so much my husband and I came back for his birthday weekend in November. Such a clean, peaceful, and cozy cabin with everything we needed to cook meals and relax. It's a short drive to Woodland Park, Manitou, Pike's Peak, and Colorado Springs. We hope to come back again!

Had a lot of snow while there! We loved it! Enjoyed seeing the wildlife and sitting by the fire pit and indoor fire place. Neat cabin! Would definitely stay there again.

I stayed here by myself for an autumn weekend getaway. The wooded property is beautiful and serene. The cabin is adorable and outfitted with everything you need. The owners' sister and husband live nearby and were very kind to introduce themselves and make themselves available if I needed anything. Communication with Christy was excellent, and booking made simple. There are several amazing hiking trails nearby, and it's a quick drive to Pike's Peak, Manitou Springs, Woodland Park, and Colorado Springs. There's no lack of things to do in the area, but my favorite activity was sitting on the deck beside the outdoor firepit at night to watch the full Hunter's Moon rise! Before checkout, I booked another weekend stay at Bears Run for my husband's birthday in a few weeks. Can't wait to come back!

We have vacationed in Colorado on a yearly basis for the past 20 years. This was our first time to lodge and use Green Mountain Springs as our base camp. Besides the town being absolutely darling, great shops and fantastic food, the scenery and location was incredible. Then the cabin...The cabin was fantastic! It was cozy, clean and the attached decks kept us snapping pictures long after a long day of sightseeing and activities. We met Mike, the owner on the first day and he was very welcoming and informative. I would strongly recommend this cabin and stay for anyone looking to take in all of what Colorado has to offer!! We will be back. :)

We had a fantastic stay at Bear Run. Secluded, yet close to restaurants, shops, hiking trails, lakes and more. We saw snow in summer (granted it was top of Pikes Peak, but still a relief from the long TX summer). We saw lots of mule deer and a bear the first evening. Very clean and nice cabin with one of the most incredible decks ever.

Perfect stay in Green Mountain Falls
Cute perfect cabin for a small family. The outdoor space is priceless. Wished we had more time to explore all the area has to offer. Hosts were perfect and we thank you and highly recommend.

Comfortable place to stay
Cabin was great for 3 people. Other homes were barely visible from the deck through the trees and we enjoyed the sound of the creek below. Easy access to Colorado Springs, Woodland Park, Pike's Peak, and hiking areas to the west.
Be aware, the cabin is located at the top of a steep, curvy dirt road. If you're coming from sea level like us, you may not want to take walks directly from the cabin because you'll have to deal with a lot of uphill to get back.

Wonderful cabin
Property was everything and more from the on-line listing. The sounds of water from a nearby creek(not visible) from the deck and watching the wildlife was wonderful. Close to all the major attractions...but who wants to leave.

Snow in may
It was awesome. We were hoping to see the mountain tops with a little snow on them. Little did we know, we'd see the whole range covered. The cabin was great. Furnishings were great - we did a little cooking. We were expecting a cool place for a vacation, but got an exceptional accommodations .

18th Birthday Present for my son
The property and location are beautiful! The cabin was perfect for my son and I. My son had two friends spend the night on our air mattress in the front room and had plenty of space. The little town at the bottom of the hill is adorable with the pond was a great place to walk the dogs and there is a Walmart right up the street and other stores a little further up the hill. So cute! Mike the neighbor introduced himself right away and let us know if we needed anything and the owners were very responsive as well! (Lockbox code changed) I would definitely recommend.

Get away Green Mountain Falls
Absolutely beautiful and wonderfully hospitable hosts. Perfect for a very romantic hideaway and perfectly situated for treks into the mountains or down into the attractions in Colorado Springs. We loved it and look forward to returning anytime we are in the area.

Great cabin
Bear Run had everything we needed. We enjoyed dining around the fire pit, listening to the relaxing sound of the creek, and star gazing at night. It was perfect for our dog. He loved lying on his bed in front of the fireplace.

Mountain Getaway
Everything was great! Very clean, cozy cabin in the mountains. Had 6" of snow the first night we were there. Saw lots of deer in the neighbirhood, and our kids loved it! The only suggestion I have is to bring your own TP. The provided paper is what you might find in a port-a-john. Everything else was great!

Woodland
We could not get the keys out of the box to unlock the house door. With no cell service it was a challenge to call owner. After finding someone willing to let us use their “land line” and MANY voice mails left. They finally answered and gave us the correct code. The directions aren’t very clear either, but we finally found the place. The cabin is cute but I’m not sure if it’s worth the hassle.
