You'll love the interior of this 1 bedroom (Queen-size bed), 1 bathroom (large shower) log cabin with log walls, log ceiling beams and hardwood floors throughout.
The Log Cabin has fascinating features, like the original walk-in closet & built-in bookshelves. Even the vintage wood kitchen cabinets with rope pulls are adorable! We outfitted the dining room with an oak table and kitchen chairs made with rodeo cowboy upholstery! In the living room there is another oak table with hand-painted bears and bear claws on it, a loveseat and 2 rocking chairs.
We provide great high-speed Internet, TV with Roku and Hulu, games, puzzles, cards, and lots of books, magazines and brochures about the area, history, events and cowboy and Native American art and culture.
The Kitchen is Furnished with a Stove, Refrigerator, Microwave, Toaster oven and Coffee maker. Cooking utensils are provided along with pots and pans, glasses, coffee cups, silverware and dish towels. There is a storage closet with brooms, cabinets and shelves for your extra kitchen items and cleaning supplies under the sink. Coffee and filters, sugar, creamer, salt and pepper, coconut oil and a few other items are provided.
The Cabin is decorated with Antique & Mid-century Modern furniture, Southwestern patterns & artwork of Native Americans, Cowboys & Arizona nature and wildlife. We did some renovations including a new refrigerator, toilet and water heater, so there's nice hot water and good water pressure for the shower!
We scrubbed the floors & logs then put a bright, fresh coat of paint in the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen & living room. We've added new curtains, door locks, a keyless entry, hardware, grill and outdoor seating. The front porch has a Flagstone floor with a bench & rocking chairs where you can sip your coffee in the morning or wine in the evenings while you watch the birds and wildlife. We've had a lot of the yellow finches, roosting mourning doves, ravens, and a ladder-backed woodpecker lately.
In front of the cabin we've added native grasses & a seating area. Past the meadow (newly sown with Poppies, Lupines & Southwestern Wildflowers) Miller Creek runs seasonally after snows or Monsoon Season. In back of the cabin an herb garden grows with oregano, sage, mint, rosemary and thyme. You're welcome to cut a few to take home!
When in season, there are also penstemon, salvia flowers, clematis, sweet-smelling jasmine, butterfly bushes and grapevines of Chardonnay and Muscat.
In the Bedroom, a high Queen-sized Pine Bed reigns over the bedroom with Iron Scrolling and a deep Serta Perfect Sleeper Pillow-top Mattress on top of box springs. You'll feel like the Princess and the Pea on this massive bed! Don't worry--there's a step stool to help us shorter folks! High-thread count sheets, a cottony quilt, blanket and three styles of pillows are available to you: non-allergenic bamboo, doctor-recommended, cervical support or anti-allergenic poly-fill. Wall Lamps provide lighting for night-time reading. The rustic walk-in closet holds built-in shelves for clothes, a chest with a key for clothes or valuables, plenty of room for hanging clothes, a full-length mirror and an ironing board and iron.
The bathroom is clean and bright with a window, new grout in the shower, a pedestal sink and a toilet to which we've added dual flush...up for one, down for two. A medicine cabinet will hold your sundries and there's lots of fluffy bath towels, hand towels and washcloths! Shampoo, conditioner and soap are provided. We try to be non-wasteful with healthy products in bulk or if you prefer, you can choose sample sizes.
The Western theme continues in the Living Room meeting a Mid-century flair with loveseat, antique chairs, and a vintage rocking chair. An iron coffee table with Southwestern cutouts and a a stone top compliment the design. A TV is provided with Roku and Hulu and there is High-speed Internet for streaming movies.
We'd love to have you come visit. There are so many things to do in Prescott and surrounding areas, whether you're driving through on a short visit or staying longer. As the cowboys say in Potter's Cowboy Slang, You're "as welcome as a pat straight flush"!
We also have a 2 bedroom cottage, if this does not suit your needs or is booked. The VRBO number is 883663, "Sparkling, Renovated Cottage". We'd be happy to accommodate you there too!

My husband and I loved our stay! Dave and Karen were so excellent at communicating with us and providing everything you needed. I appreciated how they let us in earlier than expected because we were tired from our long flight. We enjoy cooking so it was excellent to have spices and basic food necessities like oil and butter already there. Highly recommend staying here as it just is perfect to get away from life's hustle and bustle😊 and enjoy the birds and rustic charm

Nestled in a serene forested area just off the road, this quaint little cabin offers the perfect blend of peace, privacy, and proximity to downtown Prescott. Surrounded by greenery and the soothing sounds of nature, it provides a cozy retreat ideal for those seeking solitude and relaxation. Despite its secluded feel, the cabin is conveniently located just a short 5 minute drive from the shops, restaurants, and attractions of Whiskey Row in Prescott, making it an ideal getaway that balances tranquility with accessibility.

This accommodation is small but was perfect for my wife and I. The log cabin is cozy and exudes rustic charm. It is very comfortable.
It has a small but well-equipped kitchen, which is perfect for us because we don't like to go out for every meal. There is no dishwasher, but we are okay with doing the few dishes we would use for meals. All dishwashing detergents and sponges are included. Cellophane wrap and aluminum foil were also included, as were little things like toothpicks! All the cookware was in good condition and ready to cook any meal you could imagine. They have a first aid kit, too, but fortunately, we didn't need it. Cards, puzzles, and games were provided for leisurely evenings around the gas/heater fireplace. The small unit provided ample heat as it got pretty cool in the evenings. The Roku TV worked fine.
The bed was comfortable, but the bedroom was small. It was fine for us, but if a large person was staying here, they might have a little difficulty negotiating the small space in the dark. There is plenty of room for clothes in the bedroom closet, which includes a dresser.
The bathroom does not have a bath, but the shower worked just fine, and shampoo and soap were provided along with toothbrushes and other bathroom necessities.
There is a Weber grill that was very clean and ready for a BBQ. Speaking of clean, everything was spotless!
Dave and Karen were great hosts, and we highly recommend the Prescott Hideaway.

I wanted a get away to a cozy log cabin and found this place. The owners have managed to think of all the little things from all the kitchen utensils to lots of information on things to do locally.
The cabin was spotlessly clean, loved the gas fire, and wanted to stay longer!

Dave & Karen went out of their way to make this such a wonderful stay..we enjoyed a well stocked pantry, received a lovely gift of champagne to celebrate the NYs and even toys for our two pups. This hideaway was secluded and the surroundings beautiful. They had plenty of things to read, music to listen to and movies, games, everything that is the comfort of home all wrapped up in a cozy comfortable cabin full of nostalgia decor. We absolutely loved staying there and highly recommend a stay there, Dave & Karen go above and beyond to make the stay magical & memorable!

This was the cutest little place ever! Absolutely perfect! And if the house wasn’t perfect enough the hosts, Karen and Dave are absolutely wonderful! We had our pups with us and Karen and Dave so thoughtfully got them a little toy EACH! George and Ringo were over the moon! Love it and will for sure be back!

We had hoped to go kayaking at Watson Lake while in Prescott but it was unfortunately too cold. Not to worry! There was so much to do in town that we were not disappointed. We went to the farmers market just a few blocks away, then spent the day watching the Christmas parade and courthouse lighting program. Then capped off the evening at the Sharlot Hall Museum Frontier Christmas. Heading back to this cozy, warm cabin at the end of the day was perfect. We plan to go back when its a bit warmer and try kayaking and hiking and other nature activities.

It was a great weekend the cabin is perfect you feel like you’re in the middle of the woods! Great host’s and we really had a great time
6.0 / 10.0
This is a true, tiny, quaint log cabin that (from the inside) brings you back decades. A bit over-decorated with pictures and posters galore, but city water is nice rather than well water. Owners were very kind and allowed me to maintain my privacy for the week... that was appreciated!
On the down side... this is not a cabin in the woods, or isolated in any respect. Nestled into the middle of a rather busy neighborhood, the traffic noise is a constant irritant. Walmart near by, Fry's grocery down the street, and a busy stop and go intersection just off the property takes away from the rustic feel you may want.
Overall a nice stay.
But I would find a more remote cabin in the future.

Stayed 5 days, central location allows easy travel to all areas of Prescott
10.0 / 10.0
Dave and Karen met us when we arrived to show us around. They have a great binder that has everything from the history of the log cabin to favorite restaurants in the area. So many little things that added to the charm and convenience for our stay... like a flashlight, binoculars, extra blankets & pillows. Plenty of clothes hangers, drawers, very comfy bed, great stove for heat, full kitchen with everything we needed, lovely grounds. You can tell much love goes into the care and decorating. Over the top homey feel. One tiny thing happened and Dave was there within minutes to fix. Best Brbo we've ever stayed. It was perfect in every aspect. Kudos to them both!

This was one of the best stays away from home. I enjoyed every second of this wonderful, cozy cabin and all it has to offer; From the comfiness, to the magical garden settings, close enough to downtown, but still away from the hustle & bustle, I felt the stress melt away! We enjoyed BBQing, Fishing, Biking, Hiking and most of all Kayaking! Had amazing massages at the Thai House on Grove St. and had a blast at the Rodeo, Whiskey Row with live music and some good eats! The owners Dave & Karen were lovely!
Thank you again for sharing your beautiful property-we will definitely return!
Warmest wishes,
Maria, Lee & Posoledog
