Our beautiful beachfront condo is located in the private community of Gentle Winds on the beautiful north shore of St. Croix. The condo has everything you need for a fantastic family vacation, including a fully-equipped kitchen, in-room washer and dryer, 2 TVs, and a collection of DVDs, games, books, and beach toys to borrow. Enjoy meals outdoors with our screened-in patio and dining set. Spend the day reading or relaxing in a hammock or lounge chair on our soft, white sand beach. View local marine life by snorkeling the reef that lies just offshore or by exploring the tide pools adjacent to the beach. Take a dip in one of the most beautiful swimming pools on St. Croix and enjoy a drink or sandwich from the poolside Beach Shack. Enjoy a game of tennis, pickleball or basketball at the on-site courts. If you are looking for less strenuous activities, shuffleboard, ping pong, and a reading library are also available.

The property was perfect for our family. This beach is truly a hidden gem on St. Croix. The condo had boogie boards and other items available for my kiddos. If we go back, I can’t imagine we would even look for another place to stay. It was very well maintained and an amazing atmosphere. We loved having the kitchen available, but the food at the restaurant on the beach was very reasonably priced and so good.

This condo was perfect in every way! We loved that you could walk the beach and swim in a pool with the convenience of a tiki bar for drinks and excellent food. While the property is older, things have been maintained and we had no issues. We also loved the community building with table tennis, games and books. The area surrounding the property was beautiful and we felt safe even late at night. It is located between Christiansted and Fredericksted making it easy to visit both. We will recommend to our family and friends! Thanks for offering your beautiful condo for us to enjoy!

First time on this island (been to Thomas and John) so we weren’t sure what to expect. Love the family atmosphere and location of this place. It felt safe and easy. If you didn’t want to do anything else but hang out on your resort this place had it all. Love that the families and kids all gather at the pool and beach together and play. The condo we stayed in was well equipped and they gave us lots of pointers on things to do and see. Host was phenomenal.

This was our third year staying at Gentle Winds, but first time at the Masons. The layout, location, size and amenities were excellent. We highly recommend their condo. We especially loved their responsive and accommodating attitude!

Gentle Winds great housing cluster, visitors, ocean/ beach a walk on site, beach bar. First visit to Christenstad in West End, toured & stayed in East End. Good to experience both. Would return & choose my apt inGentle Winds. All comfortable, full kitchen equip& grill etc, great for few days. Longer stay I would have updated . Friendly, helpful neighbors from my hometown.

Gentle Winds resort is a great place to relax and avoid the stresses of the everyday world. Truly removed from the fast lane, one is free to spend time watching the waves and attune yourself to the rhythm of the sea. Truly quiet and serene and well maintained.

My Family just returned from here, it was myself, husband and 2 teenage girls. The condo was in a great central location for us to jump back and forth to both sides of the island. The layout of the condo complex was perfect for us. It was so easy to get to the pool or beach. We loved having the Beach Shack right on the beach it was great to grab a quick lunch or drink. The teenagers loved the virgin daiquiris! The condo complex felt safe and was pretty quiet. We can't wait to return!

Had a wonderful time staying at Gentle Winds. Marsha was very responsive before our trip. We had everything we could have needed.
The beach towels and sheets are a bit dated- and there was no soap in one bathroom but not a huge deal.
We appreciated the offer for a late check out as well.

Stayed 4 nights at this condo. It was exactly as described. Very clean and roomy. We used the kitchen every day and there was plenty of supplies, also used the beach chairs, towels, and cooler when we drove to different beaches around the island. We didn’t use any of the resort amenities that were offered except for the pool and beach area which were quiet doing the off-season. Wifi strong enough to do a zoom conference and stream movies. Would stay again.

Comfortable family accommodations
This condo was clean, comfortable, and accurately described. We prefer to rent a condo for vacations since it provides so much more living space than a hotel. We are a family of four and we fit comfortably in the condo. Our children are 11 and 14 and this particular condo worked for their current ages. The owners were quick to respond to emails and provided organized information about their condo prior to our arrival. The pool and bar continue to be a luxury we enjoy while we relax on the Gentle Winds grounds.

Joseph and Marsha Mason are fantastic hosts. The property is a good location with a nice pool and beach. If the property had a golf course, it has not been maintained. The complex is older but the condo was as described and had everything we needed inside. My husband, 2 college-aged boys and myself unfortunately had a day cut off of our short stay due to weather-related travel delays so only we’re on property 2 nights. The hosts were very generous and followed up with us. We enjoyed a tour to Buck Island on Big Beard’s Adventure - the water is so clear and the reef provided fantastic snorkeling. We were not very impressed with the island. The island seemed a little run down and was very quiet. We won’t return to the island however I would recommend this property if you do visit.

Relaxation
The owners made the rental process very easy. Only recommendation is at least get mattress pads on the uncomfortable beds. Everything else was perfect! The location, the condo, the grounds, the pool are all fabulous. My friend is ready to book it again for next year but I prefer more to do. It’s definitely a quiet relaxing place for complete down time. Would recommend renting a car because there is nothing nearby to do. It’s great for older adults but definitely not a place for kids which was nice. There was never more than 10-15 people sitting around the beach and maybe two people at the pool. It was the cleanest pool I’ve ever seen on vacation. The ocean was nice but only leaves about a 15 ft area that’s accessible. The rest is very rocky. The beach bar food and drinks are amazing, Only wish it was open much more often.

Perfect Family Resort
We have stayed in many places all over the island and we brought our whole family this time. Gentle Winds is a perfect resort to have various aged family. The condo is spacious and can sleep our family of 6 comfortably. The full kitchen allowed everyone to do their own thing and fix their own meals. The beach, game room and pool offered so much for the kids to do. It is a sprawling resort and very safe, plenty of room to hike, bike and spread out. The tennis courts are in great shape and we played every day. The Sunny Shack was so handy for the teenagers to snack when we spent the day at the beach. Although we love to trek all over the island, if you wanted to stay put at Gentle Winds, you would have plenty to do!

So relaxing
We had a fabulous time. Loved Gentle Winds for easy access to both sides of the island. The food and drinks at the cabana right on our beach was one of our favorites. The shrimp tacos are the best. Brunch at Ziggy's was a great time as well. Having all the beach and pool items in the condo was great. We snorkeled at the beach alot. Thank you Joe and Marsha. Great stay and wonderful memories.

An excellent start for our St. Croix stay
Our family loved the facilities. The pool, the beach, the grounds were in amazing shape. The pool has a bar/food area which is excellent. The owners were great at communication. The unit itself was a bit dated, but not really a concern for our stay. We would definitely go back and loved our stay.

Great location
The condo is nicely furnished and spacious. The Gentle Winds community is quiet, peaceful, and safe, set well back from the road so there's no traffic noise. The grounds are extensive, beautifully landscaped, and inviting for taking pleasant walks. The buildings are only two stories high and well spaced, so there was a feeling of privacy. You can hear the waves from the screened patio. We could turn off the central air at times, open the doors and windows for cross-ventilation, and listen to the waves. This place has everything we want in a vacation rental, and we hope to return to St. Croix and stay here again. The rent is very reasonable for an oceanfront location.

We we visit St. Croix many times a year (work related) and I can tell you that this property is in a beautiful, safe, and quiet area. The amenities a terrific and the house is extremely well maintained and cleaned. WE WILL BE BACK!

The property is immaculate, the Condo was clean, spacious, and perfect! The pool was to die for. The beach was amazing. These are not just words, these are feelings, true feelings of how we felt every minute we were there. The whole island, as well, was amazing. Great weather every day. There was one day that was overcast witha few short showers throughout the day, but otherwise it was a constant 88 degrees the whole time. Beautiful waters, great beaches on the north and West ends of the island. We are truly in awe of this now very special place in our hearts.
We did have some questions and when we contacted the owners, they were very responsive and very easy to engage with.
I, my wife, and "the kids" recommend this property 10000%.

Relaxing Family Vacation
Estate Salt River is a spacious condo in the beautiful resort of Gentle Winds. The property owners were easy to communicate with and responded to all inquiries within 24 hours. I recommend a car to visit local beaches. The beach at the resort is picture perfect but the water is rough for swimming in my opinion. The condo itself is very clean. The king size bed in the master bedroom is a good quality mattress. The beds in the second bedroom are not the same and I would not recommend them for a comfortable nights sleep for adults. The beds should be fine for smaller children. A few pots & pans need to be replaced as well as the beach chairs provided. I found the beach chairs to be in such poor condition that I purchased 4 new chairs that I left behind hopefully for future guests. All in all, everything was great.
