Dont forget, we allow you to bring your dog too! Peaceful get-away sitting on the beach reading, walking and watching the waves. Or- watch the Dolphins come and go!

If you have children , you won’t have to walk across the Coastal Highway with wagons, strollers and beach toys.
There is always plenty to do at the beach no matter what the time of the year is. Take the dog for a long walk on the beach or play ball- just sit and relax-do what you want! Later on there are plenty of restaurants or fast food stops; be it a sandwich, bowl of soup or chili, cheesesteak, meatball sub, scrumptious pizza or a spaghetti dinner or Crab Cakes - it’s all close by! Even shopping at the outlets!!
Licenses are required for your furry friends . Easy to get. Not at all expensive. My welcome letter will give you the details.
Nicely decorated home with enclosed front porch begins your journey. The living room has a flat screen TV with cable and WiFi service. A quaint archway from the living room into a fully equipped and well stocked eat-in kitchen. Bring disposables if you prefer quicker clean-up.
2 Bdrms with queen size beds and one bedroom with 2 twins. Bring your own sheets and pillows. I supply a blanket and bedspread for each bed.
Inside Bathroom has shower. There is also a nice outside shower on the deck - (outside shower is open May until mid November. Bring your own bathroom towels, beach items and beach chairs . There is a picnic table off the deck. In the back there are clothes lines for your towels and beach wear.
Driveway on the side of the house parks 2 for sure and possibly 3 depending on size
You are close to nightclubs, restaurants, and shops. Walking distance to everywhere in Dewey. Don’t forget your family dog is welcome!! ( $25 pet fee). I send you the license requirements for 4-legged family members. Plus, the tax free outlets are minutes away.

This beach cottage was exactly what we were looking for--on a beach block in Dewey and dog-friendly. Steps to the beach and restaurants, etc. that Dewey has to offer. We loved the front porch and having the picnic tables in the back for morning coffee and dinner in the evening. It's very clean and spacious for us (just a couple and our dog).The kitchen was pretty well-stocked, giving us a great option to cook in sometimes. There's no dishwasher or washer/dryer, but having the clothes line was great to get that fresh smell of clothes dried in the sun! The outdoor shower was nice as well to get that sand off.
Check-in is in person, which was a little tricky on our way there as we got delayed and hated to keep Louise and her husband waiting, but luckily they were very gracious about it. It might be more convenient for both guests and hosts to explore some other options for check-in.
Overall, we loved our stay and hope to be back next year!

Con: I would prefer to have a lock box to get in the house rather than have the owners and their dog there to greet us and give us a list of the things we need to do while we stay and before we leave (trash nights, sweep the floors before we go, make sure dishes are clean and put away before we leave). The list was already hanging up for us to reference.
After driving 3 hours all we wanted to do was unpack and settle in. They were very nice but for us we prefer the ease of a lock box.
BIG CON: The AC wasn't working properly. It was 77-78 degrees for 2 days (high 90's outside). The first day I texted the owner and they never responded. I contacted VRBO and they tried calling the owner and they did not answer. 24 hours later I texted the owner again and they responded. We went out to dinner and they came to the house and when we got back it seemed to cool down. It sounded like some vents needed to be changed out and from then on AC was fine. Unfortunately, 2 of the 4 days we were there it did not work. It also seemed like the thermostat wasn't working properly or they were able to control it from home. We would turn it down, go to the beach, and then the thermostat read something different when we returned.
Pros: beach block! Close to all restaurants, stores, etc., parking for 2-3 cars, outdoor shower was great! Neighbors in the back were really friendly.

We love Dewey Beach and Louise’s beach house is truly our home away from home! We have stayed with our dog the past two summers and already booked for our third year. You cannot beat the location! Close to the beach and all the local restaurants. Louise is a wonderful host and provides you with everything you need. We can’t wait to be back!

The location could not have been more perfect, located right in the center of Dewey and steps away from the beach. Our family and our puppies had the greatest time and we hope to come back again. The house was cozy and enough room for 6 adults. The location was great to everything. We only drove when we went to the boardwalk and to the state park. It was great to have two showers with 6 adults. The outdoor shower was the biggest hit!

This was our second stay at Louise’s beach cottage! We had an amazing time! Her home is in a perfect location. It is a very short walk to both the beach and all things Dewey! Her cozy home has everything you need for your stay. We loved sitting on the porch in the morning with our coffee or at night with our cocktails. We were fortunate to be able to bring our two golden retrievers, and they absolutely loved the beach! Louise is a wonderful host, and she goes out of her way to make you feel welcome! You will love it here!!

We had such an amazing time staying at Louise’s property. She is a great host! Very close walk to the beach along with multiple restaurants and shops in walking distance. We didn’t move our vehicle all week there was no need to drive. Our favorite part was being able to bring our dog who we found out absolutely loves the beach. The outdoor shower is also a huge bonus. No complaints what so ever and we will definitely be back next summer!

This was our second summer at this beautiful house and it was just as wonderful as the last. The new floors look great and Louise has everything a family needs for a relaxing stay at a great location. Even with rain and a sick 4 year old, we still loved our time at the house. If you want the real beach experience this is it! All we could say is home was perfect for our trip. This quaint cottage was perfect for our family of 4 and 2 dogs. Close to the beach and all the Dewey and Rehoboth activities. Louise is always reachable and very responsive. I highly recommend and we would stay here again!

Quaint little cottage perfectly located close to everything you want to see in Dewey. Very short walk to the beach where you don't have to walk across a busy road. And then a very short walk to all of the bars and restaurants. St. Patrick's Day/Starboard opening weekend can get a little crazy so it was nice to be able to quickly walk back to the house for some peace and quiet before heading out again. The house was well stocked with everything you need (i.e. dishes, silverware, cups, etc.) Will definitely look into renting this house in the Summer.

My brother and I brought our mother (81 y.o.) down to Dewey Beach for a late September vacation to relax at the ocean and build some memories. The house was fantastic and very convenient for mom to walk over to the beach and to local restaurants. We couldn't have asked for a better location and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was the perfect location for a quick getaway. Easy walk to the beach and just a few minute drive to the Rehoboth boardwalk. The house is cute and very clean.

The location of this property is amazing. The kids (11 and 13) could go back and forth to the beach alone. We could walk over to the beach early in the morning and set our stuff up and then go home and grab breakfast, and just generally go back and forth all day with no hassle at all. We could also walk to all the Dewey restaurants and stores. We loved the front porch in the evenings. The property was very clean and plenty of space for our family of 4 plus 2 dogs for almost a full week. We loved the outdoor shower. The kitchen was adequate for cooking. The fridge was big and in good shape. The microwave, stove top and oven all worked well. Air conditioner and fans kept the house comfortable even on really hot days. We wished there was a dishwasher, but not a huge deal since we used lots of disposable plates. We did miss a washer/dryer for that length of stay, but location far outweighed that negative. We would definitely come back.

We had a very nice stay. The location is great! Easy to walk to the beach or dinner and delicious ice cream right on the corner. The place was clean and had all the basics you need. Host is nice and easy to communicate with.

Lovely cottage close to beach
Louise’s place was perfect for my family of 4 and our dog. We loved how close to the beach it is and to good restaurants and bars. We took the trolley to Rehoboth boardwalk one night. My dog loved the dog friendly beach in the morning and after 5:30 pm. It’s a great town and a nice place to stay. We had a lot of fun.

Perfect Location
We had a wonderful week at this home in Dewey Beach. It is in a perfect location, and it is so homey. We have stayed in many rentals, and this was by far the cleanest. Louise was great to work, and she was so helpful. Everyone loved the outdoor shower and the front porch! We Our family and 2 dogs had a perfect vacation, and we would love to stay here again!

I loved my stay at this quaint cottage. Its a short walking distance to beach in a quiet area. The furniture (living room and porch)could use a little updating, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay their again.

Lovely dog-friendly place close to the beach
Wonderful and responsive hosts, great little cozy place! The kitchen is really well-stocked and it’s a wonderful place to stay, just steps from the beach! The only cons for us were that comforters were a bit old and threadbare, and the carpet in the bedrooms a bit rough looking, but otherwise it was a perfectly pleasant place to stay.

Beach fun
We rented this property for doodles in dewey. Close to everything. Our puppy Misty had a blast meeting and greeting everyone along the way. We've booked many places thru VRBO over the years but this was definitely the easiest out of all of them.
