Very clean. Worth repeating: very clean. very quiet tenants - at least while we were there. Relatively quiet steet and neighborhood (especially for the city). If I had driven a car, it looks like there would usually be a place to park somewhere within the block. Miss B (the on-site host) and Inez (the phone contact, whom I only met online and on 1-2 phone calls) were both very nice. Location to subway isn’t bad (just a few blocks away) and once on the train, pretty close to many sites).
It is difficult to separate what we liked from what could be improved, so going to combine a bit in the next section.
Despite several references to two flights of stairs, there are actually 3. There is one external flight up from the sidewalk to reach the outdoor entrance and then 2 flights up inside. “Lavish” is a bit overstated. It’s very clean and comfortable for the most part, with generally well supplied with pots/pans, dishes/glasses/cups/flatware. There was no light over the stove so we moved a lamp from one of the bedrooms to see better over there.
If you are a coffee drinker, bring coffee to brew. unless you prefer instant coffee. There is an old jar of instant in the cabinet and a drip brewer, but no coffee to brew, and the filters when we were there didn’t fit - wrong size, wrong shape. we used scissors to jerryrig the provided filters. Good fridge and good microwave and the stove seemed to work great for boiling water for tea.
We were given one set of keys to the place even though we were two couples. When we asked Miss B for a second set, her answer was “one set”. That was a bit inconvenient at times. (To be fair, I mentioned this to Inez upon checking out and she suggested we should have contacted her and she would have gotten us a second set. However, Miss B was the representative at the apt who showed us around and we didn’t think we needed to call someone else for this; we assumed this was the policy.)
There were supposed to be two air conditioners to keep the place cool, but one was out of service. Miss B told us she was trying to get someone in right away. I know how service techs can be, so I don’t necessarily blame her, but I would suggest the hosts have a spare a/c to put in in case this situation arises again.
We were provided with one roll of toilet paper for four adults for four days and advised to buy our own if needed. Towels and linens were provided but bring your own wash cloths if you like to use them.
One of the reasons the place is so clean is that you are asked to leave your shoes outside the door.

We hoped for a clean, safe place to stay. What we got was a wonderful home away from home, with a care-taker (Miss B) who takes pride and love in/with the up keeping of this home AND for her guests! Miss B, is AMAZING!!! She is kind, helpful, and a hard worker. She even gifted us her very own homemade banana pudding. Wow! I would definitely recommend staying at this property again and hope to return myself soon!!
Can't think of anything.

Ghetto area.. building falling apart, caretaker cranky, bad mannered, aggressive, no lights in corridors, no heat, limited towels, blankets, comforters, old decrepit building with old appliances, entrance gate lock falling apart, hard to lock, checkout time unreasonably early 1oan, caretaker barges into apartment without permission, shakes you up from deep sleep at 730am to remind you that you got to checkout. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.. Exorbitantly Expensive for the location and minimal amenities it provides, poor customer service, rude. The description of the property on the website is wildly misleading. Google to check other reviews Importantly, check out images of the neighborhood..

The apartment was cozy and big enough for our family, two adults and two teenagers. There is everything you need, kitchen equipment, warm shower, towels and sheets. Our host miss B did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Close to subway reaching Manhattan in 30 minutes, close to a supermarket.
The property is in Bedford Stuyvesant, not in Williamsburg as advertised. If we had done our homework and checked the address we would have chosen differently. We had a few incidents where drugged and erratic people approached us in the area around the subway station, which especially our teenagers felt unpleasant. We realized after day one that no one leaves the apartment alone to buy groceries. Read about the area before you decide if this is where you want to stay for your NYC visit.

The host was wonderful. She was accommodating and friendly and easy to get ahold of. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The apartment offered clean sheets and towels and items needed in the kitchen if you wanted to cook. It is air-conditioned! The price was very affordable for staying in the city, and there was easy free parking on Willoughby Avenue in front of the apartment.
There was nothing about the apartment we did not like. It is an easy walk to the train. The neighborhood is relatively quiet. It was clean and spacious for a New York apartment. Lol.

Very clean. Spacious. Decent air con. The hosts were communicative.
The biggest issue was the host knocking on our door telling us to put the garbage out at 7am in the morning. However, I believe the hosts really heard our feedback on this matter and most likely won't do it again.
The shower head stopped working on two occasions in the 5 days that we were there. Though it might be a building issue. Not sure how much the hosts can do about it.
There are some small things the hosts could provide that would make the place a lot better:
Providing extra set of keys
Hand soap
Cutting board
Kettle
Softer lighting in the living room (we ended up moving the lamps from the bedrooms into the living room)

This must the best apartment in Brooklyn and I should not write this, coz i wanan stay again and it will be full. But really, felt like home. Miss B the host is great, everything very clean, spacious. We wanna stay again next time! Thank you.
There was only one key to the apartment, and its was 3 of us there. Also there was no communication online prior to the arrival, so a text with info how check in works would be great - works great, miss B lives just donwstairs, so she is there all the tim,e but we didnt know.

We liked the location of the listing, it was close to the subway station which was very convenient. We also appreciated how there was a flat iron, cooking supplies, silverware, and a tv.
It would be helpful if there was a scale at the listing so that we could weigh our luggage prior to going to the airport. We also had an encounter where the host barged into the apartment in the early morning while we were sleeping and started lecturing us about things that could’ve been communicated through a text message, e-mail, or note. When she had lectured us after barging in, it was made clear that she came into the apartment while we were out. We also didn’t like how she ambushed us on our way out when we would leave our apartment to go about our day. Again, she would ask us questions and remind us of housekeeping items that could simply be communicated through text message or email. Generally, we felt like the host invaded our privacy which made us feel uncomfortable.

The apartment was very clean and quiet. Location was close to all the things that we wanted to do.
It was kind of hard to find parking everyday but we were able to park on the same street.
