Welcome to the Tannersville Farmhouse! Situated at the top of 11 private acres, our house has the space you need, the comforts and luxuries you expect, and the views you dream of. Whether you are entertaining family and/or friends, the house and grounds will delight you. With beds for 19, a gracious modern kitchen, a pool, a hot tub, and a huge lawn for outdoor games, you couldn't ask for a better getaway in any season. The expansive grounds offer a sense of peaceful solitude, yet you are only a half mile from Tannersville's main street and a short drive to Hunter Mountain (10 mins). You are also within easy reach of charming towns like Hudson, Woodstock, Windham, and Saugerties.
On the main floor of the home, you will find the kitchen with an island counter that seats six. Marble countertops, a large trio fridge, two sinks, a five-burner cooktop, double wall ovens, two dishwashers, and many small appliances make preparing meals a pleasurable and interactive affair. Just outside the kitchen's French doors, you will find a gas grill and the pool. Past the kitchen are two full size bedrooms with a full bathroom. The dining table seats 14 comfortably and is easily accessible to the kitchen via a pass through sideboard with room for many platters of food. An adjacent table seats six.
The living room boasts plush chairs, couches, and ottomans to put your feet up on as you enjoy the wood burning fireplace. But no matter how comfortable the living room is, everyone will be vying for one of the sunroom's rockers and its uninterrupted views of the Catskill Mountains. Outside on the wrap-around porch, enjoy the landscape and the hummingbirds that grace us with their presence every year, or sit under the covered portion on stormy nights watching the lightning over the mountains.
Upstairs is a sitting room, four well-appointed bedrooms, and three bathrooms. Up another flight is the the fully-finished attic with beds to comfortably sleep five. Perfectly suited for children and young adults, this space also has ample room for two additional inflatable beds. The house is home to our extensive library with books for all ages in every nook and cranny. Toys and games for all are in the attic and sitting room.
On the patio level— a flight below the living room— is the office where the WiFi router is located. Through the glass doors to the outside is the lawn and another slate patio with a table and seating. The wood for the fireplace is stored just steps from this door for easy access. This is also where you will find the hot tub, which shares the expansive view from the sun room. It is stunning on a wintery night, but also lovely in the summer. Back inside, this level also has a television room, a full bathroom, a queen bedroom, and a laundry room with industrial size machines.
If you are up for a short walk in the woods, you can cross the driveway to the west and enter the woods on the path. You will walk through the maples that will soon give way to mountain pines. Continuing on the path, you will encounter the stream that is a watering place for local animals.
Upon returning home from your biking or hiking, you may be ready to take dip in our salt water pool which is medicinal in many ways. Or if it is winter and you are back from a long day of skiing, hop in the hot tub, unwind and enjoy the view.
In the town of Tannersville, you will find many restaurants (local favorites include Maggie's Crooked Cafe, The Last Chance Antiques & Cheese Cafe, Pancho Villa's Mexican Restaurant, and Mama's Boy Burgers featuring local grass fed beef), live music, antique stores, and other inviting shops. A beautiful bar awaits you for after hours at the Last Chance Tavern, hidden behind a secret shelving unit in the Cafe. If the performing arts entice you, the recently renovated Orpheum Theater— a remnant of the legendary Orpheum Chain from the 1920's— is back, hosting movies, live theater, music, and the annual Catskill Mountain Jazz Festival. TOPS grocery store is only 5 minutes away. For a wider selection, Price Chopper in Catskill is about 15 minutes away.
A discount for smaller groups is possible. Send an inquiry and we will do our best to accommodate you!

Our entire family (parents, kids, grandkids) recently stayed and had a wonderful time! The pool was perfect! The size and temperature were spot on, the kids spent hours in it. The bedrooms were all comfy and provided plenty of sleeping space for our group of 17. The porch was lovely and relaxing. Laurie was incredibly kind and responsive to even minor questions. I would highly recommend for groups looking for a nice place to just relax and enjoy each other’s company!

When making our final decision on a location for a family reunion we settled on this house for two reasons: 1) it had a pool, and 2) it had AC. The pool was awesome and ended up being a huge source of joy for us during our stay, but when we arrived at the location we realized that there wasn't actually any AC. We called the host who sent someone over to install 2 window units (one in a central area and the other in the master bedroom which is in its own wing).
We had intended to stay at a place with AC for my mother who needs a cool place to be comfortable. Suffice to say, she had a rough trip along with the 4 people sleeping in the attic since it was an oven up there.
It's important to note that we were in the middle of a heat wave during our stay and I believe that aside from the attic, most of the spaces would probably be very comfortable if the weather was more mild
Aside from the AC we liked the house. It was a bit musty and dusty, but seems like that should be expected with an older house.

We had a great time in Tannersville. The house was very comfortable for our large family of 18.The kitchen has everything we needed. My only complaint was the advertising of flexible arrival and departure times. I had an email that stated departure time was 8pm. The day we arrived I was informed that we had to be out by 11AM because the next guests were arriving at noon.

Everyone in our family who walked into the house for the first time just said WOW! The kitchen area is first class, the porch and view were spectacular, the bedrooms comfortable and well spread out, the lawn out front held all our games, add in the pool (always warm) and a hot tub, we had no reason to leave. Loved the little village of Tannersville and the proximity to lots of things to do. Gotta think this would be equally awesome in the winter for skiers going to Hunter. Thanks Laurie, George, Laurie and Pat for making our family reunion memorable.

Stayed with family (adults + babies + dog) for 4 nights and had a great time. The house is very large with lots of room to spread out. The living room area is super comfortable. Location is quiet and a 30 min drive from some bigger/busier towns like Woodstock. There are endless books!! Hosts are responsive and accommodating. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back for future getaways.

We were 8 couples coming together to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. The house was perfect with plenty of space. We loved using the pool and hot tub and playing yard games in the front lawn. Would definitely rent this house again!

we are 7 couples +kids who vacation together every summer for a decade, and this was our first stay in upstate NY. We have all concluded it was one of our favorites! The home was perfect for multiple couples. We spent a lot of time gathered by the pool and enjoying the amazing view. The owners were around for any questions, and gave us dinner suggestions in real time. Overall, an amazing stay!

Our group of 14 adults stayed at Laurie’s home for a long weekend and had the most lovely time. The first floor is even more spacious than it feels in the photos — we appreciated the fact that the kitchen, dining area, and living room are all distinct spaces but are still open and bright. And we LOVED the cozy reading nook off the kitchen. Location is great as it is secluded but still walkable to town. Laurie was communicative and so kind, answering my many questions and providing lots of helpful instructions. We truly can’t wait to go back!

Nice layout for family get together. Plenty of rooms for everybody. Great large country kitchen and dining area. Did not need to bring anything but food as everything was provided. Great view from sitting area off kitchen. We all had a good time!

We just spent eight nights in this wonderful house. Great location. Great views. The kids use the pool pretty much every day all day. Close to the grocery store in downtown. Only downsides were the lack of air-conditioning and ants in the kitchen area. But after acclimation and some ant traps, things were great. Tons of space. Plenty of games and toys for the kids. Just be advised garbage is charged per bag at the end of your trip (not mentioned in general ad), wasn’t a huge deal but had initially assumed it was included. We would definitely stay at this home again. Thank you for a great place to make great memories!

We affectionately called this property the "Big House." It had everything we needed to enjoy our family reunion - a big yard for yard games and a lovely pool for cooling off on hot afternoons, a well-stocked kitchen for cooking large family meals, plenty of bedrooms, and bathrooms, and of course, a stunning view of the mountains.
10.0
The kitchen is extremely well set-up for a large group (2 dishwashers and 2 sinks - genius), the house has a comfortable farmhouse feel and accommodated our group with ample space. The owner was helpful in generously sending us the multiple straggling items we left behind. Check in and check out aren't strict and the warm pool kept our 9 kids thoroughly occupied. Town is within walking distance.

Perfect place to bring together a large group. Plenty of space to relax and catch up. House was incredible with everything you would ever need. Kitchen area is phenomenal. Views are off the charts! Pool and hot tub were a huge hit. We will be back again soon.

We rented this house for a group of 14 women for a bachelorette weekend and it had everything we could have needed. The house is beautiful and situated with an amazing view of the mountains, with many windows and opportunities to appreciate it the view. The pool is heated well so it was nice to swim even in subpar weather and the hot tub is great to have too. There were many indoor and outdoor common areas to sit or hangout. The kitchen is as good as advertised and a great hangout spot for even a large group, with a big island countertop. Plenty of comfy beds. Plenty of kitchen supplies including many reusable plastic cups, plates, etc. Laurie was great and easy to communicate with.

This place fit 19 of us in its room to spare! Plenty of things to do in the area, close to many mountains for skiing, and the views are amazing! Want to plan another trip when the weather is warmer so we can use that gorgeous pool!

This is our second time staying at this house and my guess is that next year, we'll book it again! The house is very large with plenty of individual rooms and a ton of common spaces for people to hang out in. Lots of activities too to keep all kinds of people having fun all weekend.
Hosts made it easy to check in and out and were very responsive.

There aren’t enough superlatives to describe how much my family enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous home! Beginning with the booking process all the way through to leaving the property, things went very smoothly. The house is gorgeous, spotlessly clean, and every amenity has been considered. The skiers in the family loved the proximity of the mountain and the post ski hot tub soak, and the non-skiers loved the comfy chairs in the sunroom and lots of table space for puzzles and games. Our granddaughter was in toy heaven with all the attic options. The kitchen was not only beautiful, but completely stocked with every utensil you could possibly need. We simply could not have asked for more - our stay was indeed perfection!!!

Character, views, comfort, style, charm... this list goes on and on. Our family and friends loved the house from the moment we walked in. We hosted my 45th birthday with family and friends. Everyone had a wonderful time. The host Laurie was amazing. If you are looking for a large house (it is so much more spacious than the pictures do justice) with a ton of character that can accommodate a lot of people this is the right choice. They had everything stocked plus more games and toys than you can imagine. We embraced the snow storm that hit us while staying there by stoking up the fireplace, making snow angels outside with the kids and even hopping in the outdoor hot tub. It was a fantastic birthday weekend. We will be back for sure!

We recently stayed at this property with our children and another family. It was perfect for a big group. Lots of sleeping and hang out space, a well-stocked and beautiful kitchen, terrific outdoor area and a hot tub, and the owners could not have been more welcoming and easy to reach. Minutes from Hunter Mountain. We will definitely be back!

Special fall foliage weekend with friends in this cozy, spacious, Tannersville home - including Friendsgiving at the beautiful dining room table. Multiple cooks easily menuvered around the large kitchen. Would definitely come back to this home.

Our group had the most amazing long weekend at the Tannersville Farmhouse! Sixteen women fit comfortably in the home. The home and property are absolutely stunning. Coffee on the porch in the morning overlooking the magnificent view is worth the trip alone. Floating in the pool all afternoon didn’t hurt either. We had planned for a local yoga studio to come teach a class outside, but the weather didn’t cooperate. The studio could not have been nicer. Nevertheless, the trip was amazing- even with a little rain. The town of Tannersville is also so incredibly charming. We wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely be back. Thank you to Laurie and George for being so communicative and accommodating. We are looking forward to another trip in the future!

We really enjoyed our stay - it's a fabulous setting, surrounded by magical mountaintops - but only a few minutes from town and skiing. Lots of comfortable areas to relax and spread out. Very well stocked, with toys and games for children - and kitchen utensils etc. The kids absolutely loved the attic, it felt like their private zone. The hot tub really was a great part of our stay - especially since it was such a cold weekend. The flexible check-in and out times were greatly appreciated.

I wanted to take the time to tell you what an amazing time we had at the Tannersville Farm House. We danced, we read, we sang, we had beautiful dinners and breakfasts together - some people were inspired to draw. We sat by the fire. I like to take pics and had little photo shoots with the magnificent view. When I was a little girl my parents owned a home on spring street , two houses before the bridge - I would walk up to Lucy’s hill (that’s what we called it) and I’d dance - this past week I was able to dance and sing with all my friends . It was very nostalgic for me. One of my friends bought me a heart that matched perfectly with your beautiful outdoor rug. Thank you for creating such a perfect loving space. We couldn’t have asked for more.
