Host Julia was kind enough to let us charge our electric car, and the tennis court was brilliant with the supplied rackets & balls. The TV that came with Netfilx came in handy at night.
Nothing to be honest.

The location was great, the accommodation and grounds were amazing. The house was perfect for a family and friends gathering with lots of outdoor games with the kids including tennis. 😀
There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Great countryside location yet towns & villages close by. Tastefully furnished, plenty of space & pleasant garden. Good parking available. New kitchen & dining suite. Lovely rear views.
Kept forgetting the bathroom door would bounce back off the beam-nothing host would be able to do here but worth pointing out for elderly.

Great space, comfortable bedrooms.
Some fixtures and kitchen items at the point of needing replacement.

it was the perfect location for our weekend. it was spacious and clean
an extra bathroom/shower room would be great for a family stay with elderly parents

The house downstairs was excellent, lovely and spacious with a nice kitchen and sofas. Situated close to a very nice pub/restaurant and set in lovely grounds. The house was very clean and tidy and should have been a lovely relaxing break for us meeting up with family from Canada for our nieces wedding.
Unfortunately we were only informed the day before arrival that there was a new roof being put on the property. As a holiday cottage owner myself, I would not have rented during major renovation so assumed this did not affect the rental. We were there for a family wedding and staying with relatives from Canada, very late nights catching up and what we thought would be late relaxing mornings, but there was too much noise for any chance of sleep as the builders started at 8am and having only got to bed at 5am one morning, this was not great. This was also not helped either as I had the most noisy squeaky bed ever. We also struggled with the bathroom as both my son and nephew are 6'3" tall. The bathroom door should have been a bi-fold as it was difficult to get in and out due to limited space to open the door. Sorry for the negative comments, but our break was spoiled by building works and uncomfortable beds.

The house and garden were better than the photos. The owner left welcome biscuits for us which was a nice touch, and there were lots of games provided as well as tennis raquets and balls. The children absolutely loved it.
The owner’s dog was adorable and kept coming over to our part of the house/garden to say hello - but left some little ’presents’ on the lawn for us! It was the only thing we could fault about the stay. It wasn’t a huge problem for us and the owner removed it when we told her; if you’re not ‘dog people’ you might want to let her know before your stay.

Great location, comfortable and quite well equipped for our stay.
A lack of decent sized mirrors in the rooms. Extractor fan in bathroom not working, and some lights not working. Quite a few cobwebs, needed a good feather duster!

House and location were lovely. So roomy and lovely touches on arrival. Fresh flowers in the main room and a packet of chocolate biscuits.
Overall we loved the accommodation. It was spacious and comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. The location was exceptional. However one of two minor issues. We had problems with both toilets. The downstairs loo flushed but didn't clear very well. The seat on the upstairs toilet was only secured on one side which meant it slipped to one side every time it was used. Also despite the instructions left by the host we could only get one channel on the TV. None of this spoiled our stay and would live to stay again at some point in the future.

Lovely old property with great outdoor space and availability of tennis court was nice. Comfortable spacious living area and good sized bedrooms. High chair and cot very handy.
Decoration did seem tired and would benefit from a freshen up. There were some unpleasant looking marks on the bathroom walls and the hot tap handle was loose. TV signal wasn’t always good and it was difficult to get the house heated to the preferred temperature throughout - but I guess that’s the nature of an old rural property! The milk and biscuits were a lovely touch but a few more kitchen cupboard and bathroom essentials would have been appreciated and have made stays elsewhere excellent, I did get the impression from the listing that there would be a little more so was a touch disappointed. Also some local information about things to do and places to eat etc would have been useful. A later checkout time would have been better, I would have asked but an earlier check in time wasn’t available when I enquired and although when I text the host she was pleasant, I didn’t feel they were that approachable to ask more of.

There was parking for our three vehicles, quite comfortably.
The accommodation is an annexe of the main house and completely private. We absolutely loved the hallway area and the stone floor. The main living area was just perfect for our family celebration. A very modern kitchen with an oven, microwave, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, kettle and from memory, I think there was a coffee machine too. On arrival we had a box of cookies and 2 pints of milk waiting for us which was a nice touch. We had also bought things like salt and pepper with us but these were already there. We did order a click and collect from Waitrose which is just a 5-minute drive away and so very handy.
There's a fire pit and BBQ you can use and clean up after yourselves (provide you own materials, i.e. logs).
Great to have access to the tennis court and equipment if needed although we took our own.
Julia our host was on hand when we arrived and at the end of our stay. Very welcoming!
Seeing the dogs every day!!
Overall, it was a great space for our family to celebrate a special occasion, it's in a beautiful spot, just a 5/10 minute drive into town and near to other sights to see (we visited Castle Coombe for an afternoon).
We found it difficult to find, despite being given instructions.
My mum did say it was a little bit noisy being above the living room and so if you have light sleepers, they're better off with the twin.
The bathroom is in the roof space and so a little tricky for taller people in the shower. The door opens into a beam too and so despite our best efforts, we did bang the door a few times but there is a stopper there and so clearly we aren't the only ones!!
The double doors from the lounge to the outside are a little sticky and you can see outside and so think a winter stay here could be chilly. We also had difficulties with the TV from time to time.
The tennis court was a great feature to have. Overall not in bad shape but could do with a little TLC. There is an outdoor seating area but it's by the tennis court and so you have to take everything over the lawn to reach it and so not the easiest and the view from the lounge doors is far nicer than over the tennis courts.
Check out is a bit early at 10am!
The biggest negative for me was cleanliness as the shower head was flaking bits, there were quite a few cobwebs and I also found it odd having a tea towel in the downstairs loo!

Lovely place to stay, very quiet and relaxing. We rented as we had a wedding locally and wished we could have spent more time at the property. Highly recommend this house.

Really beautiful house and a great living area perfect for going away with friends. The weather wasn't great but if it had have been there was a lovely terrace and tennis court that we could have used.
Loved the visits from the dog too!!
The headboard on the bed nearest to the bathroom was squeeky.

Lovely Cotswold house and beautiful grounds especially the tennis court!
The road was quite busy but it did not detract from our stay.

The photos don’t do this lovely house justice! It was much bigger than expected with plenty of room for 6. Comfortable facilities and the outdoor space and tennis court were an excellent addition. We would love to return and would highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely part of the country! Lots to do nearby and the place is beautifully kept. We really enjoyed using the gardens and tennis court. Julie was a very attentive host and the place is ideal for families.
