About this house rental
This 3 bedroom house is ideally located, some 25min drive from Murcia International airport or 60 min from Alicante. A short stroll takes you either to the calm waters of the Mar Menor, with its safe bathing, especially good for those with children or to a wide variety of restaurants and shops. The property is set on a corner plot, overlooking the pool and comes with air conditioning in the main lounge and both upstairs bedrooms, which have their own balcony. All rooms also have ceiling fans. There is a roof solarium with a large sun canopy, ideal for sheltered sunbathing and a private front terrace and garden with tables and chairs. The property sits in a secure, gated residential community, where there is a large pool with a separate shallow area for younger children.
This is our family home in Spain, so is furnished to a high standard in a traditional spanish style with all those little bits and pieces that make a 'home'.
El Divino Community: Our house is part of the El Divino residential development, which is a mixed community, where some owners have made it their full time home and therefore live there for 12 months of the year. Other properties, such as ours, are occupied by the owners at certain times during the year, but are also made available for rental, when we are not in residence. Our community does have a few guidelines on how we would like all residents and rental guests to behave and a copy of these will be sent to you, when you book. We would ask all of those who use our house to please follow these community guidelines - there is nothing ridiculous in them, but they have been agreed to by all of the owners (including ourselves) to ensure that everyone can enjoy use of the community and its pool facilities whilst maintaining a sensible and family friendly atmosphere. Our is not a holiday development, but one where you are able to enjoy all of the benefits that our community provides. In particular, please note that the pool closes at 10pm and that no diving or jumping into the pool is allowed. Security staff will be on duty during the months of July & August, for your safety. There are boards by the pool explaining what you are not allowed to do, for your own safety and that of your family and friends.
We thank you all for taking time to familiarize yourselves with the community guidelines when we send these to you.
What to do, where to eat etc: Those of you who have been to the med before will know that jelly fish can be a problem - but not on the Mar Menor. Here the beaches are protected by nets, providing a warm, safe and jelly fish free environment in which to swim. The beaches shelve gently into the water creating a calm shallow sea, not only to cool off in, but a safe environment for children.
There is so much to do and see in the area, with a wide variety of restaurants available in walking distance from the house, catering for all tastes and types of cuisine. There are also a number of beach side bars, where you can relax with a beer or coffee, have a light snack or some local tapas. And most have recliners and shady grass umbrellas that you can hire for a small daily charge.
There is a beachside promenade that runs for approximately 3 miles, where you can walk to the "old town", which is colourful and vibrant at many times of the year. An excellent place for an evening meal is the Encarnacion restaurant, who also do an excellent breakfast, sitting on their terrace, looking out over the Mar Menor. Or stay more local and explore the many restaurants along the "strip" by the 525 Hotel. Our favourite is El Patio II, which is 3 minutes walk from the house.
For those who wish to travel further afield, there are buses that run to Cartegena and Murcia, both towns that are well worth exploring.
And if you are golfers, there are a number of courses in the area to choose from. Tennis players will find public courts less than 15 minutes from our house.
Other Information: we do have an information folder in the house, where we keep details on interesting restaurants that we have found, places to visit etc. Please do add anything to it that you think might be on interest to other holiday makers.
Murcia International airport is 45 minutes away and is served by many of the budget airlines, including Ryanair from various UK locations.
Our house offers excellent value accommodation in an area where the sun does shine most of the year !! (not quite like the UK).
If we can help you at any time with further information, please do get in touch.

we had a lovely family holiday here, the villa is clean and spacious with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The pool area is lovely and the pool is ideal for children. Location is great with easy access to the nearby restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the beach.

Had a really great holiday recently at this fabulous complex which is close to all the local ammenities and a short walk from the beach.
The house is in prime location to the pool which is great. The kids really enjoyed it - there are some rules to obide by for the pool - but that is clearly stated in the description and our kids had no problems with them.
We had a few small electrical niggles whilst there which was unfortunate, however dealt with rapidly with great comms from the owner and the property manager.
The house is a little dated in places, however this is more than made up for with the location both within the complex and to the local shops and resturants (at the end of the day - your going there for the Sun and amazing weather!).
Would definitely visit again!

Nice big house. Many beach and kitchen items in the house. It was very nice with both AC and ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room.
Very quite residential area and many rules for the use of the svimming pool. My kids didn’t want to swim there, because it wasn’t aloud with any noise whatsever, and no jumping in the pool also when there were no other people in there.
It took us about 10-15 minutes to get to the beach. There were quite many brown jellyfishes, but we got to know that they were not dangerous, but anyway not so fun to swim with them around. Seawater was fantastic, very warm. There were very clean toilet at the beach.
Several grocery stores are nearby, which is quite nice.
All in all we were quite satisfied with our vacation and with the house to Stephen.

Stayed El Divino several times previously and its a lovely location. House in a great spot for sun and shade depending on time of day. Needs a little sprucing up but more than adequate for our needs. Air Con in 3 rooms a godsend. Thoroughly enjoyed.

The property was in very good order.
Lots of nice touches around the property, with extras such as books and games on top of the must have internet access. An easy walk to the main location for bars and restaurants and a 5 minute drive to the highly rated Today golf course, made this a great location.

Perfect apartment for a family of six
We have had a family holiday in the area for the past 7 years and this was the first time at this apartment and it was perfect for us. The Location is great and the apartment has everything for a family. The grounds are secure with lovely gardens and pool. Loads of room for the six of us and a large bathroom and the additional shower and toilet for the ground floor bedroom was a great. Short walk to beach and resturaunts. Will hope to return.

excellent accommodation in fabulous surroundings
I have a young familly with 2 boys age 2 and 10. The accomodation is ideal offering everything we need for a fabulous holiday. The location is a 5 minuite walk to the main stretch with numerous restruants and shops and with only another 5 minutes to the beach with numerous bars etc. Approximately 10 minutes in the other direction there is a large weekly open air market and an excellent all you can eat chinese restruant. The property and its surroundings are well maintained and booking the property was simple and staright forward. In fact we cannot rate the accomodation any higher than to state this is out third stay in the same property in less than a year. We arrived back today, only to be looking to book again in September.

I have just returned from a long weekend break - and I can't wait to book for next year! This property is clean, in a friendly community, with a wonderful shared pool and gardens. The front patio area of the property is a lovely area for eating in the shade or sunbathing in full sunshine! The local restaurants/bars are within easy walking distance, and so is the clean beach. At least 2 good sized supermarkets close by, and the airport really is only 10mins away, so once you leave the airport you don't have a long drive to really start your holiday!Making the booking with the owners was easy - and I'm looking forward to many more holidays here in the future!

Myself my wife our 17 yr old son and his friend stayed here for 10 nights in August and found the house to be one of the best positions on the development. The front patio catches the sun from midday to late evening when most of the others are in the shade. The house had everything you could have needed. The Casita is an Aladins cave of holiday equipment, deckchairs, beach umbrellas, bodyboards, inflatable lilos and buckets and spades etc. The shopping trolley was a godsend to bring groceries, water etc back fron the "Mercadona" supermarket. There is even a Lidl 5 minutes away. The development is 5 mins from all that you would need, supermarkets, restaurants and bars and the bus stop is only 5 mins away. We had intended to hire a car but found that we didnt need to as everything was at hand. The Restaurants cater for all tastes and budgets and if you feel a bit more adventurous try El Chato or Ramons which are typically Spanish and only 10min walk away.As my son and his friend are only 17 we thought they might get a bit bored, but once they had "found their feet" the main strip is relaxed and friendly enough that we werent worried about letting them wander into some of the bars and play pool etc while we just sat back and chilled out.

FABULOUS!!
We stayed in the house in May 2010 and it exceeded all our expectations. The house has everything you could ever need (and then some!) Fabulous location and community, very clean and comfortable.
The area itself was great plenty of shops bars etc, good supermarket close by and the beach within easy walking distance. We particularly reccomend - Penny Farthing and Route 66 for great food and the service was excellent. We would recommend this apartment and area to anyone and we would definately go again.

Our favourite place
This was our sixth visit to Los Alcazares so we know the area quite well. It was the third time we had stayed in the 'El Divino' community. The previous occasions we stayed in similar style houses but his one outshone the other two. The description gave good expectations of the
house and these were exceeded. We are not light travellers. We take things that some houses have not provided; a jug, a chopping board (and sharp knife) among other things. We didn't need anything in this house.
It had everything we needed and more. It was comfortable and clean -
some places aren't. There was air con and fans plenty of towels, good crockery and cutlery (not the comedy type where the fork bends as you try to spear some cucumber !)
We have 6 year old twins and appreciated the extras that this house had. Communications with the owners were excellent. They provided us with contacts for transport to/from the airport, which was very useful. It was evident that this house had been set up as a home and we felt privileged that we were able to stay there. We enjoyed it so much that within 24 hours of returning home we had booked to return in October.

A great base for a beach holiday with children
We have just returned from our holiday and we were so pleased with everything the house had to offer. Inside it is very spacious, the bathroom is huge and the downstairs 3rd bedroom served as an excellent and cool playroom for our two young children after a day on the beach. The boxes of toys also went down well with them and kept them amused. There was genuinely everything we needed there and more. Food in the fridge, ice packs in the freezer for picnics, child friendly plates and cups, lots of towels, a washing machine (with washing powder), snorkels, flippers,I even found some WD40 to cure a creaky door! Check out the casita if you need anything as it is rammed with useful stuff.
The pool was on the doorstep on the house and we used it a few times, it's very clean and safe for the children, with a gentle slope into the water. The beach was a 15 minute walk away and although we had to cross two major roads en route (all with zebra crossings and very considerate motorists who will stop), the rest of the walk was along pedestrian only areas so the children were happy to run ahead and have fun. The beach was lovely, lots of parasols and sun beds to rent and two beach bars serving food. The water is very calm and you can walk out quite a way before it becomes deep, reassuring when the children were happy to play in the water on their own.
After trying a few restaurants, we discovered the Penny Farthing on the last night and had a lovely meal - far from traditional Spanish, but nonetheless my fish and chips were cooked to perfection and we all cleared our plates. The BaySide restaurant also served good food as did Angela's.
The owners sent the keys to us in the UK and we found the property with no problems from the airport. It really is just 10 minutes from Murcia. The property was clean and tidy and nicely maintained. We are already considering a return visit, it was perfect for us and our two children aged 4 and six.

Best location & Best equipped.
This was our fifth visit to Los Alcazares and this propperty was the best we've stayed at.
The house is equipped with everything for a great family holiday, and is located in a quiet area just 2 minutes walk from the main shops and restaraunts, with the beach a further 5 mins walk.
We'd certainly recommend this property and will no doubt look it up again ourselves in the future.
