Very rustic decorations. A good trip down to memory lane.

Location is very good, close to all major landmarks, shops and cafés. Moreover, the building is historic with beautiful rooms and patio. Good cost-quality ratio.
Sheets and towels had some stains and a bit dated. Also, the towels were very hard with a lot of wear n tear. Nonetheless, they were clean. Finally, the breakfast was very basic, but I consider it a minor.

The location is good, it's not too far from the center, very close to a dance club. breakfast is good, with fresh orange juice, and many fruits, I wish they had some vegetables for breakfast and more things, not a lot of bread and butter.
The wifi in my room was weak, making my work harder and slower. I'd like to find vegetables for breakfast.

Amazing building with vintage furniture. A nice balcony to spend some time to relax. Great location near the centre and the restaurants but quiet area.
The towels need to be renewed, they were damaged and very hard on the skin.

The staff was very friendly and checked us in quickly, allowing us to pay for the breakfast service on the spot. The room was minimalistic but super clean and had a wonderful mattress, A/C and a very hot shower. The common areas are very beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast service was extensive and featured homemade cake and fresh juice among others. We made use of the terrace at night for a glass of wine in the cool breeze, it was really lovely.

Hotel Solar de Monfalim is a charming hotel, full of character with lovely seating areas both inside and on the veranda. The staff were really friendly, always helpful and gave us some very good restaurant recommendations. I had asked for our three rooms to be close together, which was not an issue for the hotel. The double rooms were spacious and air conditioning available throughout. The location is perfect. Going uphill we found the Cathedral and Roman temple ruins, going downhill we came to the Chapel of Bones and the public gardens. It was so hot that this was enough for us to seek out.
We paid €5 for a fairly standard buffet breakfast per person, more of an observation rather than anything else. Coffee wasn't the best. Something completely different to be aware of when visiting Évora is that the roads are narrow!!! We got through it without scratching the car, but it can get very tight at places. Take out full insurance on your rental car.

Hotel is located in an old, charming and elegant building fairly close to city centre.
The room was large but poorly furnished with no chair in room, limited facilities to hang up clothes and no stopper in wash hand basin. The hotel needs serious investment in its facilities.

The hotel was really lovely. It is a beautifully renovated 16th century house and has a real charm. The cosy lounge area with the fireplace was particularly nice each night and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

The hotel: It's a genuinely historical inn with an older-style construction that adds to the authenticity and charm. The veranda with tables is incredibly romantic and perfect for sunsets. Children will appreciate all the nooks and crannies at the hotel.
Room: The rooms keep the historical style but with modern features that will make your experience a good one. Beds are comfy and warm. There are enough blinders to leave the room totally dark. Incredibly silent. The bathroom looks old but the plumbing is great, the water is warm and the pressure is just right. There's also a tv and good wifi. The highlight goes to the A/C which helps to set a good room temperature (especially during those scorching hot summer afternoons). It has everything you need but, of course, if you don't like a room with old-style furniture, then this isn't a good option.
Noise: Very silent at night (weekend)
Breakfast: Very simple continental with great coffee and there was a surprise option (Wine Poached Pears) on one day. Looks humble but it's perfect to kickstart the day with enough space in your belly to dine at a restaurant nearby any Alentejo-style dish.
Cleanliness: Great, nothing to point out which means they are doing a good job.
Location: Fantastic, right in the middle of Évora, close to everything especially the Roman temple. If your intention is sightseeing, this is a great option. There are a lot of restaurants nearby, just remember to check their open/closing hours.
Getting there: 20/30 minute walking distance from the bus station. You can go there by car BUT BE AWARE there's no parking at the hotel so you'll have to park in the narrow streets which might be paid (at least during weekdays).
Disabled people: People with mobility issues might experience difficulties to reach the inn due to Évora's cobblestone streets and the inn's old style with doorsteps.

the property was nice and clean. although in the middle of the city, it way very quiet and secure. walking distance to all sites and restaurants. The breakfast was very complete.
The hotel has no parking. If traveling by auto, you must find a place on the narrow street and continue to purchase parking meter tickets. there are only a few spaces in front of the hotel and they require parking meter tickets as well.

It was close to the old town
It is a no frills hotel. The only grill you get is that the towels like a lova

The breakfast was ok, not much of a selection. You can walk to restaurants, shops, churches, etc. since it is centrally located.
The rooms need updating, the shower leaked all over the floor and there is a disco next door so it is very noisy until six in the morning.

The room was very peaceful . Location was great AFTER I found I could us a back entrance as I could not manage the stairs.
Balcony great. Main square very close.
